Decorative ketubah with wedding rings

It is extremely significant that Moses spent the days of Elul, which is our modern day forty-day Season of Teshuvah (Repentance), fasting and writing out his side of the ketubah (marriage contract) to God: “HASHEM said to Moses, “Write these words for yourself,’ for according to these words have I sealed a covenant with you and Israel.’ He remained there with HASHEM for forty days and forty nights – he did not eat bread and he did not drink water – and He wrote on the Tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments” (Exodus 34:27-28 Tanach).

A major way that I will meditate on God’s Word is to slowly write out Scripture, as I am checked in to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. I have many journals to testify to this fact. Sometimes we talk and sometimes it’s a telepathic connection, but understand I am not merely interested in words and concepts. My utmost interest is to get to know Yeshua Ha Machiach (Jesus Christ) personally and His beauty-filled ways. It is truly about the ultimate heart and mind connection. One of the most incredible and weighty compliments that the Lord has ever given me is saying: “You are a woman of My Word.” If you peered inside my journals, not only would you see Scripture, but you would also see that I wrote down any revelation that flowed along with various pictures to encapsulate what I comprehended. It is an excellent way to stimulate my recall.

Somehow, I believe that all this was at work when Moses climbed the Mountain of God the second time to get a second chance at the ketabah – the Marriage Contract between God and man. The first time God had gifted the Ten Commandments, which was written by the finger of God on two sapphire cubes. Please refer to These are the “Tablets” that Moses supernaturally broke at the foot of the mountain due to the incident of the Golden Calf: “It happened as he drew near the camp and saw the calf and the dances, that Moses’ anger flared up. He threw down the Tablets from his hands and shattered them at the foot of the mountain” (Exodus 32:19 Tanach).

The second time the ketubah was not exclusively the handiwork of God. Man – Moses – had to do his part by carving out two stone cubes that God would then inscribe. How critical that there are two sides to any marriage contract. The second ketubah was forged between God and man.

I believe that Moses heartfelt agreement cause him to somehow write these same words, either physically, mentally, or spiritually, as Exodus 34:27 suggests. As Moses wrote the words for his ketubah with God, he deeply meditated upon every jot and tittle written. Moses contemplated what God meant by this word or that, and its connection to other things. Moses also deliberated about what was his part (how could he and his people keep their side of the marriage contract with the Most High God).

Why I say this is, because Moses did not return the same after his second trip up Mount Sinai. Sure. Moses was placed in the cleft of the rock to be shown His Glory, but his encounter with The Rock of Israel would not have happened without Moses personal and deep-felt connection to His Beloved – the Word of God.

We should use this as a template for every Season of Repentance since this was the very first occurrence. After Moses spent forty days and forty nights in God’s Presence in prayer, fasting, writing, and mediation, he was shown God’s Glory and overflowed with His Dwelling Presence (i.e., Shekinah): “When Moses descended from Mount Sinai – with the two Tablets of the Testimony in the hand of Moses as he descended from the mountain – Moses did not know that the skin of his face had become radiant when He had spoken to him” (Exodus 34:29 Tanach).

This Season of Teshuvah let us make it our goal to ascend God’s Mountain to spend so much time in His Word and in His Presence that we fulfill our side of the ketubah with God. Thus, we will be like Moses where we are transcendently sustained and filled with His Shekinah Glory.

Give em heaven!!!

Bible people by Orit Martin

In Hebrew, Pentecost is “Shavuot,” which literally means “weeks.” Shavuot occurs 50 days after the Passover Sabbath. It is the final day of the countdown, the filling up of the measure of the perfect grain – the perfect harvest.

At Shavuot, God’s people celebrate the giving of the Word of God on Mount Sinai and the giving of the tongues of fire of the Holy Spirit in Jerusalem. Now in 2020, a new dimension of Shavuot is being made manifest.

Shavuot is the very day that the Ten Commandments (written by the finger of God) were given to Moses. Exodus 19:1 speaks of the Jews arriving at Mount Sinai on the third day of the third month. They prepared to meet God three day later. On the sixth of Sivan, God appeared on the mountain with thunder, lightning, a thick cloud and fire on the mountain of stone (Exodus 19:16). As the smoke ascended, there was the sound of a blast furnace (Exodus 19:18). The sound of the trumping shofar grew louder and louder, as God’s people were struck with the holy, reverential fear of the Lord while they transcended their physical limitations seeing the thunder.

On this day, Moses was seen as the “friend of the bride” who carried God’s people to their Betrothed – the Most High God Himself. So, this day is known as “The Betrothal” when God chose a Bride (Jeremiah 2:2). However, God did not come and take His Bride to be married at that time. In this Kingdom Day, it’s time!

Then, we have another Pentecost picture in Acts 2 where thousands came up to Jerusalem for Shavuot. Messiah Yeshua (Jesus Christ) sent the Holy Spirit in the form of tongues of fire to devout believers who tarried there. There was a sound of a mighty rushing wind that accompanied the endowment of the tongues of fire (Acts 2:2), just like the blast furnace on Mount Sinai. Notice that the Shavuot picture was repeated, except it got more personal where little mountains of living stones (people) had tongues of fire personally appear on each one of them instead of on a separate mountain. Understand that the multiplicity of the tongues of fire of Acts 2 are going to combine and roar into His Fire Bride in our day.

Stay tuned, because tomorrow we will go into how Enoch is a forerunner to His Fire Bride that will be married in out day. Behold, the Spirit and the Bride say, “Come!!!” to the Word of God (Revelation 19:13).

Give em heaven!!!

ART: Bible people by Orit Martin

Can you feel it? Are you experiencing the time of testing and exposure?

Did you know that we are currently in the Days of Elul on the Biblical Calendar? Elul is the sixth month on the Biblical Calendar that has been set aside for spiritual preparation for His High Holy Days. These are the days for His heavenly high and holy spotlight, which exposes what is hidden in you and me and in the world. They are the days of repentance (teshuvah) for the humble. They are the days of judgment for the proud (which are always redemptive in nature).

Some believers in Yeshua (Jesus) negate most things in the Old Testament, including His Biblical Calendar; but I am here to tell you that our Hebraic roots are very important and have a significant part to play in this Kingdom Day. Just because you negate something in your mind and practice, doesn’t necessarily mean that you are no longer subject to His sovereign borders and boundaries on earth, like gravity, seed time and harvest, and His times and seasons.

The Lord has tasked me to write about His Biblical Feasts, which He calls My Kingdom Feasts. I’ve told Him I don’t know what that looks like, so He has been showing the MM Tribe and myself through various Ascension in Christ experiences as well as through Hebrew History and Scripture what He means when He says: “My Kingdom Feasts.”

Every year, there’s a Season of Repentance on the Biblical Calendar that runs from the first day of Elul to the Biblical Feast of Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement). This teshuvah season lasts for 40 days. It’s the time of year to prepare for the Yamim Nora’im – The Days of Awe – by getting your house in order spiritually and physically.

Why 40 days? First of all, the ultimate mission for true believers is to walk in the same manner as Yeshua did in order to press on toward the goal for the highest calling of God in Christ Jesus… to become exactly like Messiah Yeshua (1 John 2:6; Phil. 3:14). Yeshua spent 40 days in the wilderness before coming out completely filled with the Holy Spirit, which is the fullness of the Seven Spirits of God (Isaiah 11:2). His Bride does the same until she is completely filled with these seven too. “Who is this coming up from the wilderness, leaning on her beloved?” (Song of Songs 8:5).

If we include Hebrew His-Story, we understand that these 40 days of repentance are also called the Yemei Ratzon (Days of Favor) since during this time of year God forgave His nation for the sin of the Golden Calf.

The Hebrew Sage Rashi reveals that Moses ascended Mount Sinai for 40 days and nights at least three times.

Moses first ascent began on the 6th of Sivan, which was 50 days after The Exodus. This is when Moses first received the Ten Commandments – God’s Marriage Covenant. This time on God’s Biblical Calendar corresponds to Pentecost (Shavuot).

Recall that when Moses descended from Mount Sinai, he was furious when he saw the nation worshiping the Golden Calf and he smashed the original copy of God’s marriage covenant to God’s people, which Moses could not have been done without supernatural assistance due to their supernatural nature (Exo. 32:19). According to Hebrew History, this happened on the 17th of Tammuz, which has been a date of national calamity for Is-real ever since.

Moses burned the Golden Calf the following day and God’s judgment came upon the instigators and transgressors. When Moses was finished cleaning up the Golden Calf mess on earth, he ascended Mount Sinai again on the 19th of Tammuz to intercede on Israel’s behalf for 40 days until the 29th of Av. Note: Moses descended the mountain at this time without any divine assurance.

Then God called Moses the following day on the 1st of Elul to ascend a third time to receive a second copy of God’s Marriage Covenant (Ten Commandments). This time Moses additionally received revelation of the Torah (i.e., first five books of the Bible) for 40 days and 40 nights. With God’s assurance of forgiveness and a second set of sapphire tablets, Moses’ finally descended Mount Sinai the third time on the 10th of  Tishri – the Day of Atonement.

Notice God’s Marriage Covenant via the first set of the Ten Commandments was broken due to the Golden Calf. Most believers in the Lord Jesus Christ have erred in the same way in our day. Check out => Understand that God’s righteous judgments are for the purpose of making a suitable helpmate for the Messiah. Let’s maximize this time of repentance to completely make room in your inn and mine for our Beloved.

Stay tuned. We will go into more into the Days of Repentance and Days of Awe soon.

Give em heaven!!!

freedom suset

There is a place where all freedom depends. When the voice of the shofar was growing stronger and stronger on Mount Sinai, it was coming from the place of totality where all is one. Torah (the Word of God, which is one of the names of Messiah Yeshua) issues from this place.

The first tablets (cubes) were engraved by the finger of God in this place; then given to Moses. The Divine Origin of this writing was evidenced by the Hebrew Living Letters being inscribed through and through, and the writing was not reversed on either side. It was miraculous, so miraculous that the middle of the Hebrew Letter Samech remained suspended.

Exodus 32:16 says that “the tablets [cubes] were the work of God, engraved upon the tablets.” Hebrew Sages speak about there’s a mystery in the phrase “engraved upon the tablets.” These Sages teach that the word “engraved” can be pronounced FREEDOM. Therefore, they say do not read “engraved” – harut – but rather “freedom” – heirut. We can basically say that God engraved freedom upon the tablets. Or we could simply say “freedom upon the tablets.” Understand that the Testimony of God’s marriage contract – the Ten Commandments – are for our freedom. Real freedom comes from living as God created man to live resonating at the frequency of His Word.

Fire Baptism - Jim & Michael Ann Goll in Mozambique

The children of Is-real literally saw thunder and lightning. Saw thunder?! When you understand “thunder” in a Hebraic way, it means “a glorified voice of fire” while lightning communicates “speaking.” This glorified voice of fire on Mount Sinai was basically speaking: Will you marry Me? This was the message repeated exactly 400 years later in the Upper Room on the day of Pentecost (Shavuot in Hebrew). The room shook like Sinai, a cloud came in, and a pillar of fire appeared. The Pillar of Fire splits apart, as tongues of fire rest on each one of them. After Yeshua (Jesus) ascended (like Moses had ascended), these tongues of fire of the Holy Spirit on their heads were saying the same thing: Will you marry Me? Will you have Me and hold Me? Will you be faithful to Me and never let Me go?

The Ten Commandments were given to God’s people on the mountain of God. Those stuck in religion feel constrained by the term “commandments.” These Ten Sayings are actually a marriage contract that were etched in sapphire. They came from the Father’s own heart and have been bought for us by Yeshua’s Blood… the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world. A Hebrew Marriage Contract requires two people to come into agreement. The Father has written His side of the Marriage Contract with the finger of God. Now it’s your turn to respond. It’s time to grow the ten-percent deposit of the Holy Spirit into the 100-percent fullness of the mighty rushing wind and the tongues of fire.

sapphire - cubes floating

Shavuot, which literally means “weeks” in Hebrew , is Pentecost. Pentecost occurs 50 days after the Sabbath at Passover. It’s the final day of the countdown of the filling up of the measure of the perfect grain.

At Shavuot, we celebrate both the giving of the Word of God at Sinai and the giving of the Holy Spirit in Jerusalem. In this Kingdom Day, we are taking a Quantum Pentecost Leap where His Kingdom Sons will live and move and have their being in a greater dimension of Spirit and Truth – oneness.

To bring some understanding to our quark shift, we must journey back to when Moses was first given the Ten Commandments. Exodus 24:10 reveals that Moses, Aaron, Aaron’s two sons (Nadab and Abihu) and the 70 elders of Israel went up Mount Sinat to meet with the Elohim of Israel and under His feet was sapphire pavement. When we couple this with Isaiah 66:1 that heaven is His throne and the earth is His footstool, we see a throne room heaven and earth connection related to sapphire, which is portrayed in the Ezekiel’s Mobile Sapphire Throne.

Although the stones on which the Ten Commandments are written are almost universally perceived as two rectangular slabs with rounded off tops due to Cecil B. Demille’s Film, the Ten Commandments were actually engraved on two cubes of blue sapphire stone. In Hebrew they are called Luchot ha-Berit, which literally means “Cubes of the Covenant.” If we look into the Hebrew Scriptures we see the cubes: “Elohim said to Moshe, ‘Come up to Me on the mountain and stay here, and I will give you the cubes of stone, with the law and commands I have written for their instruction”(Exodus 24:12).

Hebraic History speaks that they were perfect cubes, with sharp corners and words bored fully through the stone, rather than carved on the surface. “…they were inscribed on one side and the other” (Exodus 32:15b). It is said that the words did not appeared on the other side in reverse, but could be read normally. Furthermore, the inner parts of letters with no perceivable support on earth stayed in exact position.

This is a foundational revelation for this day. The New Living Creature of the Order of Melchizedek will restore this ancient ruin — this place that has long been devastated. In this Kingdom Day, those who follow the Lamb wherever He goes will both keep the commandments of God [loving obedience, not legalistic yuk], and have the faith of Yeshua (Revelation 14:12).

History reveals that when Moses held the cubes in front of his shining face, its message would appear in the sky for all Israel to read. In this Kingdom Day, His Sons of Light (Shining Ones) will be His Messenger that reveals His message for all will see.

Winter Oneder Woman Snow

“Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of hosts” (Zechariah 4:6).

The quintessential verse of the Feast of Miracles is Zechariah 4:6. With each Biblical Feast, a different portal opens in the heavens over the earth. How many of you know that eternal truths and realities are always available, but there are seasons when a greater grace is given by God for them to be realized?

The Lord’s Feasts are His occasions for celebrating, just as the Ten Commandments are His ordained commandments. God created us to celebrate Him His glorious and creative ways. Read the Gospels! Yeshua loved a party! His first miracle was at the wedding feast at Cana when He turned 180 gallons of water into fine wine (John 2:6).

The spring feasts of the Lord speak of Yeshua’s first coming. The fall feasts speak of Yeshua’s second coming. The winter feasts of Chanukah and Purim tell the story of the church and her journey until the Messiah comes again. Chanukah is not called a feast forever (like Passover, Pentecost and Tabernacles, which are types and shadows of Yeshua’s ministry on earth). It’s a feast that celebrates the temporal walk of His church becoming the Bride.

What society has labeled “Jewish Feasts,” the Lord calls “the feasts of the Lord.” Significantly, He emphasizes: “They are MY feasts” (Lev. 23:2). They have been called Jewish Feasts because remnants of Jewish people have faithfully rehearsed the feasts of the Lord since they have been instituted. All believers in the first century celebrated the feasts of the Lord, including Chanukah and Purim. It is the Christian Church’s primordial practice. Yeshua Ha Machiach (Jesus Christ) and the early church continued to observe the feasts laid out in His Word, because they understood that they portray the Messiah. These observances were not done for righteousness’ sake, for the early church embraced Yeshua’s sacrifice on the cross as the only way in which they could obtain their right standing in and before God.

Yesterday, we discussed that an Ancient Golden Gate of Thanksgiving and Awe has been prepared for this special season of lights, miracles and dedicating our temples to walk as Yeshua did. Every year this Chanukah portal opens to a greater grace to become ONE with Him as His pure and spotless Bride. This year His Winter One-dear-land portal is not only resonating with awe, but with great grace. The number that speaks of great grace is “15” (5 x 5 x 5). It’s been 15 years, since Yeshua (Jesus) first came to me epiphanously. He was weeping as He told me: “The mixture of Christmas grieves My heart.” After He paused to let that bombshell sink in, He added: “Come out of Babylon and lay down Christmas, for I WILL have a pure and spotless Bride.” Please read: . THIS WILL BE KNOWN AS A YEAR OF GREAT MIRACLE-WORKING GRACE.

“Then he said to me, This addition of the bowl to the candlestick, causing it to yield a ceaseless supply of oil from the olive trees is the word of the Lord to Zerubabbel saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit of Whom the oil is a symbol, says the Lord of hosts. For who are you, O great mountain of human obstacles? Before Zerubbabel who with Joshua had led the return of the exiles from Babylon and was undertaking the rebuilding of the temple, before him you shall become a mere molehill! And he shall bring forth the finishing gable stone of the new temple with loud shouting of the people, crying, Grace, grace to it! (Zechariah 4:6-7 AMP).

The audio-visual displays of the prophetic reality of the Messiah’s first and second coming (portrayed in the Biblical Feasts) can only serve to bring His people into a deeper relationship with one another and with the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Aligning with His calendar enables us to know and understand the Lord’s exact times for the world and set appointments for mankind.

Mo-ed is the Hebrew word translated as “feasts” in the KJV of Leviticus 23:2: “Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are My feasts.” Technically, mo-ed is not the Hebrew word for feasts, but it carries the concept of calling God’s people together for His sacred assemblies, which celebrate the annual recurrence of particular dates marking notable events. To mo-ed is to have an appointment, a fixed time or season, a cycle or year, an assembly, an appointed time, a set time or exact time. According to Scripture, the Sabbaths sets our weeks. The New Moons sets our months. The Lord’s festivals set our years.

In 2 Chronicles 8:13, the primitive root for mo-ed is the Hebrew word ya-ad, which is also defined as fixing an appointment – like writing a critical meeting in your day-timer. But more importantly, this primitive root implies that the Lord is summoning His people to meet Him at His stated time, He is directing us into a certain position, and He is engaging us for marriage (i.e. be betroth). Just as mo-ed in space refers to the locality where mankind has their appointed place of assembly for an appointed purpose, so mo-ed in time is a point in time which summons God’s people communally to an appointed activity. As it is written: “As You summon to a feast day” (Lamentations 2:22). “We give thanks to you, O God, we give thanks, for your Name is near… You say, ‘I choose the appointed time” (Psalm 75:1-2). “Look upon Zion, the city of our festivals” (Isaiah 33:20). The question remains for Christians: If we aren’t celebrating the feasts of the Lord, can we truly be betrothed to Him?

DISCUSSION: Please select how you’d like to involve others (there’s freedom to do whatever the Spirit leads):

[1] What is the Spirit saying to you about the Feasts of the Lord (i.e. Biblical Feasts)?

[2] Is there a need for you to tap into His great miracle-working grace? If so, tap into this season of great grace when Yeshua walks in the place where all believers meet (i.e. Solomon’s Colonnade) declaring His miracles.

The Cubes of Sapphire

Things they never told you about the Ten Commandments

Sapphire Throne connection

The following is the startling truth behind the story of the Ten Commandments. The prophet Moses (i.e. Moshe) was given two brilliant cubes of sapphire with the commandments bored from one side to the other. When the cubes were put up in front of his shining face they would appear in the sky for all Israel to read.

PLEASE NOTE: The following article was written by Jason C.N. Jordan and originally published at:

“Sapphire Throne Ministries” has received permission from Mr. Jordan to re-post it., &

“O afflicted, storm-tossed one, who has not been consoled : Behold, I will set down gems as your [flooring] stones and lay your foundation with sapphires.” (Isaiah 54:11)

When the Prophet Moshe, A’aron, his sons and the seventy elders ascended Mount Sinai to meet with Elohim (G-d), the Torah notes the unique condition of the terrain beneath Him as He walked. “Moshes and A’aron, Nadab and Abihu, and the seventy elders of Israel went up and saw the Elohim of Israel. Under his feet was something like a pavement made of sapphire, clear as the sky itself.” (Exodus 24:9-10).

Sapphire is also mentioned in relation to YHWH’s throne in  Ezekiel 1:26-28; “Above the expanse over (the heads of the living creatures) was what looked like a throne of sapphire, and high above on the throne was a figure like that of a man. I saw that from what appeared to be his waist up he looked like glowing metal, as if full of fire, and that from there down he looked like fire; and brilliant light surrounded him. Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the radiance around him. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of YHWH. When I saw it, I fell face down, and I heard the voice of one speaking.” Because no man has ever seen the face of YHWH and lived (Exodus 33:20), we know that this individual who also walked with Adam in Gan Edan, appeared to Moshe at Mount Sinai and later in Ezekiel’s vision, was none other than the pre-incarnate Messiah Yahshua. Rabbinic Judaism even admits that this tangible form of Elohim, who “…spoke to Moshe face to face” (Exodus 33:11), was YHWH’s tangible express image.

Sapphire Man Blue

The stones or pavement of sapphire described in Exodus 24:10 relates the effect Elohim had on the earth of Mount Sinai, when He stepped off His throne. Thus the stone that was prepared for the Ten Commandments had to have been sapphire. To think that YHWH etched His chief eternal commands of the Torah on anything else other than this material, denies basic deductive reasoning espoused directly from the text. Exodus 24:12; “Elohim said to Moshe, ‘Come up to me on the mountain and stay here, and I will give you the cubes of stone, with the law and commands I have written for their instruction.”

Sapphire Cube with Magen Daivid Star Inside 3

Sapphire carries a natural and beautiful blue hue. This colour symbolises wisdom and heavenly stability. It is the colour of the sky, the sea, and the colour of the throne room of heaven. Midrash Lekakh Tov describes the sapphire on which the Ten Commandments were etched as being literally cut from YHWH’s very own throne.

The word “sapphire” appears in the TaNaK as “sapir” and is actually borrowed from a Sanskrit word. Though it is a foreign term, it does have a Semitic root that relates to the Hebrew words: sefer, meaning “book,” sipur, meaning “story” and safar, meaning “recount.”

10 Commandments - Jerusalem, Israel by Noam Chen

Although the stones on which the Ten Commandments are written are almost universally perceived as two rectangular slabs with rounded off tops, the Ten Commandments, according to the Talmud, were engraved on two cubes of blue sapphire stone.

Question: But why were they cubed and why don’t believers generally know about this?

Answer: In Hebrew they are called Luchot ha-Berit, which literally means,” Cubes of the Covenant.” Whilst the word “tablet” is not necessarily an incorrect transliteration, it is less accurate, because a “cube” describes dimension and volume whereas the term “tablet” does not. Orthodox Judaism has always known the Ten Commandments were inscribed onto cubes. However, the rest of the world, especially Christianity, does not normally look to the Jews for Scriptural advice. The truth is that most western people unconsciously draw this aspect of Bible history from Cecil B. Demille’s Film: The Ten Commandments.

Sapphire 4264289-hot-flame-burning-on-cold-blue-ice-cubes-on-a-reflective-surface

Exodus 32:16; “The cubes were Elohim’s handiwork, and the script was the script of Elohim engraved within the cubes.” According to rabbinic tradition they were perfect cubes, with sharp corners and words bored fully through the stone, rather than carved on the surface. “…they were inscribed on one side and the other.” (Exodus 32:15b) It is said that the words did not appeared on the other side in reverse, but could be read normally. Furthermore, the inner parts of letters surrounded by complete joins stayed in exact position without any visible support.

The perfect cut of the cubes symbolized Divine perfection. It is no accident that their shape was patterned after the dimensions of a cube of salt, an essential ingredient to mankind’s very existence.

Sapphire Blue Mineral boleite5923b

Salt’s unique taste serves as a human’s foundational reference point and heightens the natural flavour inherent in all foods. This function alludes to the Torah’s purpose as a reference point to understanding life and drawing the best from it.

Chloride and sodium ions, which are the two major components of salt, are necessary for the preservation of all living creatures. This concept of preservation is also another characteristic that mimics Torah, in that it preserves the soul of him who toils in it.

Hands Glowing Blue World

Matthew 5:13-16; “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? … You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hid… Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”Messiah Yahshua is punctuating a seemingly simple teaching with symbolism straight from the Torah. His reference to salt alludes to the Ten Commandments and the light alludes to the brightness that emanated from Moshe’s face. The city[1] on the hill refers to Moshe who stood on Mount Sinai.

Of all the 613 commandments, YHWH selected Ten Commandments for special attention. He did this by presenting them on two priceless objects that are synonymous with eternity, directly communicating them to Israel and placing them within the Ark of the Covenant.

The Ark of the Covenant rested in the Holy of Holies. This room, which was measured at 10 cubits by 10 cubits by 10 cubits, was also a perfect cube. It is said that when the Ark rested there it took up no space whatsoever. When each end of the Ark was measured to its facing wall it measured exactly 5 cubits. YHWH’s perfect law and perfect presence resided within another worldly dimension of perfect yet incomprehensible geometry. Sacred object was placed within sacred object, combining meaning and form. Note that the shape of the tefillin[2] boxes that house pieces of Torah are also cubed.

Another Midrash says that the tablets “carried their own weight,” enabling Moshe to carry them down the mountain. Exodus 32:15a; “Moshe tuned and descended from the mountain, with two tablets of the testimony in his hands…”

Exodus 34:29; “It came about when Moshe was coming down from Mount Sinai (and the two cubes of the testimony were in Moshe’s hand as he was coming down from the mountain), that Moshe did not know that the skin of his face shone because of his speaking with Him (YHWH).”

The light that radiated from Moshe’s face had a function beyond that of being evidence of prolonged exposure to YHWH’s presence. For when he held aloft one cube, the light emanating from his face would send out a strong beam of light into the sky, which caused the commandments to appear overhead as YHWH uttered them with an echoless voice that came from every direction. The Midrash describes each utterance literally causing every Israelite’s heart to fail, which required YHWH to continuously resurrect the Children of Israel at the close of each sentence. This ordeal was causing great trauma to the people, prompting them to plead with Moshe to stop Elohim speaking. Exodus 19:19 “…You speak to us, and we will listen; but do not let Elohim speak to us, or we will die.’

Question: What about the second set of cubes? Didn’t Moshe write them?

Answer: The answer is no! Exodus 34:1; “YHWH said to Moshe, “Carve for yourself two stone cubes like the first ones, and I shall inscribe on the tablets the words that were on the first cubes, which you shattered.” After Israel had sinned they had descended very quickly to a considerably low spiritual level. The second set of cubes had to reflect this lowered state. By no longer being cut by YHWH, the cubes reflected this diminished spiritual level.

The shattered pieces of the original cubes were carefully gathered up and placed in the Ark along with the intact second set. These pieces are called, Shivrei Luchot, which means, “the remnants of the tablets (or cubes).”

The Ten Commandments

Now that the stones on which the Ten Commandments were bored have been investigated, let’s examine the some of the meaning in the commands themselves.

In the Torah there is an array of words used to describe its Divine command. They are: mitzvah (commandment or literally “love deed”), dibbur (word), mishpat (law), ed (testimonial), and chok (decree).

The word “chok” is distinct from the other terms for several reasons. It is a decree, which does not appear to have an obvious reason and upon deeper contemplation continues to elude any rationale. The word “chok” also means “boundary.” Proverbs 8:29; “When He assigned the sea its limits [chuko].”

However, the literal meaning of chok is “engraving.” So in a sense all the Ten Commandments can be classified as chukkim (plural) – engraved supra-rational laws.

Ten Commandments - Decalogue Parchment

According to the Zohar, the Torah was the genesis of the Divine Will and was originally encapsulated in the engraved supernal purified form of the Ten Commandments. Therefore, the engraved Torah preceded the written Torah.

Commandments under the Microscope on the First Cube

1. I am the YHWH your Elohim who took you out of the Land of Egypt.

It isn’t beneath the Almighty omnipotent Elohim, before whom “all is considered like naught” to personally interfere in the workings of the world, whether to liberate a persecuted nation from the hand of their oppressors. We can always trust that YHWH is watching over us attentively and controlling all the events which affect our lives.

2. You shall not have other Elohim in My presence.

YHWH is the only one who controls all events and occurrences. No other entity – not your government, not your boss, not your spouse – can benefit or harm you unless YHWH has so decreed. Every one of us shares a special relationship with YHWH, and no power can interfere and disturb this relationship.

3. You shall not take the name of YHWH, your Elohim, in vain.

The above described relationship may indeed be intimate and personal, but you must never lose perspective—He’s your Creator, not your buddy. Just as “familiarity breeds contempt,” so, too, prayer three times a day can dull one’s senses and cause one to lose some of the reverence due to the King of kings.

4. Remember the Sabbath day to sanctify it.

Maintaining this relationship with Elohim requires effort on our part. All too often we are so immersed in our daily routine that we forget that in actuality it is our connection with YHWH which matters most. Therefore, Elohim commanded us to allocate one day every week for “relationship maintenance.” This is the Sabbath, a day to focus on the real priorities in life, and draw inspiration for the following week.

5. Honour your father and your mother.

Why is this commandment included in the “between man and Creator” tablet? Doesn’t this command belong on the second tablet? Perhaps the lesson is that although we owe everything to YHWH, we must not forget to express gratitude to those people whom YHWH has empowered to help us in our journey through life. As the Talmud says: “The wine belongs to the host, but thanks is [also] said to the waiter.”

Commandments under the Microscope on the Second Cube

Although most of the following prohibitions are against sins that most of us wouldn’t even consider committing, these prohibitions have subtle undertones which are applicable to every person.

6. Do not murder.

Murder is a result of one person’s deeming another person totally insignificant. In truth, every human was created by YHWH in His holy image, and therefore has an innate right to exist. The first message we must internalize is the importance of respecting every individual. YHWH thinks this person is important—so should you.

7. Do not commit adultery.

Misguided love. Yes, we must be loving, kind and respectful to everyone, but this doesn’t mean we “love bomb” everyone constantly. There are guidelines which we must follow. Sometimes, love entails being severe and abstaining from exhibiting it.

8. Do not kidnap.

The essence of kidnapping is utilising another for personal gain. Focus on being a real friend; don’t be in the relationship only for your own benefit. Be there for your friend even when it is uncomfortable or inconvenient for you.

9. Do not bear false witness against your neighbour

Every person judges. Every person is in a constant state of observing their acquaintances and friends, silently and subconsciously judging their every word and action. We must be wary of a tendency to “bear false witness” in the process of issuing our personal verdict on any matter concerning a neighbour. We must always give the benefit of the doubt, taking into consideration various factors of which we may be unaware, ensuring that we don’t reach an erroneous judgment.

10. Do not covet your neighbour’s possessions

This means to be happy for your neighbour’s good fortune. This is done by training yourself to intellectually respect a neighbour who enjoys a significantly superior standard of living. Practice consistently viewing them in a positive light and learn to love their accomplishments. Share their sorrow during their difficult moments.

[1] In rabbinic Judaism the human body is likened to a small city that is fought over by two kingdoms; one kingdom representing the Evil Inclination and the other kingdom the Good Inclination.

[2] Tefillin are small boxes that house small pieces of Torah. They are attached to strips of leather, which are worn on the head and around the arm during prayer to fulfill the mandate to “…bind them as a sign upon your hand, and they shall be for a reminder between your eyes.” (Deuteronomy 6:8)

Jason C.N. Jordan is the founder of Flying Chariot Ministries and the author of the books, All Lights on in the Master’s House and Lightning from the Master’s House. He is a Nazarene Israelite who writes regular epistles that shed light on the one true faith of YHWH as was revealed in the Torah and by the pen of the Prophets. His major area of expertise deals with strange and unusual aspects of the Hebraic Scriptures from Genesis right through to the Book of Revelations. He provides clear explanations for many great unsolved mysteries throughout the world by researching a wide breadth of material. Some subjects include the UFO phenomenon, ghosts, ancient and modern technology, cryptozology and eschatology (the study of “End Time” prophecy). He examines these subjects and many others from a purely Hebraic perspective. A Nazarene Israelite is someone who follows a lifestyle of complete adherence to Torah whilst also accepting that Yahshua HaMoshiach (J-sus) is the expressed image of the Father (YHWH) who was spoken about by the prophets in the TaNaK (Old Testament).

BOOKS BY Jason C.N. Jordan

Jason C.N. Jordan - All Lights on in the Master's House

ALL LIGHTS ON IN THE MASTER’S HOUSE delves into the pagan origins of Christianity and uncovers the ruthless schemes of its founders. In their own words read how they set in motion a plan to dumb-down and twist the original full messianic message of the Scriptures. Learn how they fashioned a faith, which after eighteen hundred years has given birth to a religion that is completely choked from its foundations.

Read how the church has successfully managed to reinvent both the Messiah and the Apostle Paul’s personages into Greco-Roman crusaders. See how they usurped Messiah’s mission of restoring loving obedience to His Father’s Commandments into a used car salesman pitched message of lawlessness.

Christian theology teaches that the former way of Eternal Salvation through faith-driven observance of G-d’s Commands has been replaced with a conditional acceptance of belief in a single miraculous event. The crucifixion has been misappropriated and exploited to enable a believer to continue to perpetuate a sinful lifestyle, which is unconditionally covered by grace. Essentially this philosophy does little more than equip a believer with the intellectual knowledge of an event that even demons (as the Bible calls them) acknowledge.

Learn how G-d’s gift of grace was and still is conditional to ongoing obedience and regular repentance. This book clearly shows that the Scriptures teach that Salvation has to be worked out through much fear and trembling and that self-motivated study of the Scriptures is the key to finding intimacy with the one true G-d of the Hebrews.
The trial, beating and impaling of G-d’s Son was a pivotal act on which the whole law (Torah) hangs for all eternity and was not an act that was designed to put an end to it, but to put an end to its location from tablets of stone to hearts of flesh.

Find out how and why the true name of G-d and his Son has been deliberately obscured and replaced and why many key words and phrases in the Bible can be traced to the names of pagan gods. Ironically, the Bible teaches that the names of these foreign gods are not to be uttered during worship.

This book will challenge your belief system to the very core and will outline key characteristics that are inherent in believers that are truly in love with the one true and eternal G-d of Israel.

Jason C.N. Jordan - Lightning from the Master's House

The long awaited sequel to All Lights on in the Master’s House is finally available.

Warning: Unlike my first book, this volume is not written for comfortable Christians! It is written for Nazarene Israelites, Jews or Individuals who are seriously considering leaving a Church environment.

Ignored by 99% of religious institutions who profess to follow the Bible is the fact that the Jews were just one of twelve tribes that accepted the whole yoke of the Torah at Mount Sinai. This truth, plainly readable in the most diluted Bible translation, causes the common view of the Old Testament laws being just for Jews to disappear in a nanosecond. Furthermore the Bible attests to the Torah’s suitability for all mankind. “One Torah shall be to him that is home-born, and to the stranger that sojourns among you”(Exodus 12:49). Ignorance of this fact has robbed thousands, if not millions, of believers of their core mission directive, to sift Israel from the nations and, like Messiah, only go “…to the Lost Sheep of the House of Israel.” Rebbe Yahshua (who most of the world call “Jesus”) didn’t come to save “the lost,” but “what was lost.” What appears as simple semantics is actually the key to truly understanding the full messianic message of the Scriptures.
