I personally love to quote Miss Fizzle from The Magic School Bus: “Take Chances. Make Mistakes. Get Messy!” I am convinced that mistakes are simply a way of learning, and unconditional love and kindness makes it not only safe, but a joy. A huge key in life is never giving up.
Think about how Thomas Edison’s teachers said that he was “too stupid to learn anything.” He was fired from his first two jobs for being “non-productive.” As an inventor, Edison made 1,000 unsuccessful attempts at inventing the light bulb. When a reporter asked: “How did it feel to fail 1,000 times? Edison replied, I didn’t fail 1,000 times. The light bulb was an invention with 1,000 steps.”
Perhaps you march to the beat of a different drummer. Perhaps you have been called to something that takes a gazillion steps. All I know is that mistakes are not really mistakes, but steps within a portal of discovery. So… love yourself and others a little more today by giving grace in what may appear to be a mistake on the surface when in actuality we are all on a path discovering inner and outer space.

Queen Esther is the quintessential example of an overcomer.
When she uttered “if I perish, I perish” (Esther 4:16), it was a very real possibility where only the king’s extended scepter remedied her perilous plight. Esther could not remain silent about Haman’s plan to exterminate her people. She got a divine nudge in the right direction from her uncle Mordecai (picture of the Holy Spirit): “For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place and you and your father’s will perish. And who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14 NASB).
An evil man of the lineage of King Agag had become great in King Ahasuarus’ court – Haman. One of the reasons Haman desired to kill every Jew was Mordecai had refused to bow to him. The other reason was generational. Many moons before, God had told King Saul (a Benjamite) to kill King Agag, but he had refused. Therefore, the generational cycle repeated where one from the Tribe of Benjamin (take your choice of Queen Esther or Mordecai) faced an evil ruling Amalekite – Haman – where the cost was life and death.
Haman had cast lots for a whole year to determine the best time to kill the Jews. The 13th of Adar was finally chosen. On the 13th of Nisan, the death sentence message went out, which said that in 11 months on the 13th of Adar, all men everywhere could kill any Jew they could find. Mordecai, Esther and all the Jewish people in the Persian Kingdom fasted and prayed for three days: Nisan 14, 15, and 16. Then, Esther went before the king to ask for her life and for the life of her people on Nisan 17.
It is extremely significant that they prayed and fasted on 14th Nisan through the 16th of Nisan. Nisan 14 was the time that the Passover Lamb was sacrificed in the afternoon and prepared. At sundown on Nisan 15, the seven-day Festival of Unleavened Bread began. The Book of John reveals that Yeshua (Jesus) died on the Day of Preparation (Nisan 14), the day before the Passover meal, sometime after noon but before sunset. According to Josephus, this would have been “from the ninth hour until the eleventh,” which corresponds to 3:00 to 5:00 PM (The Jewish Wars, VI). The whole day of Nisan 14 (the day when the Passover Lamb was killed) has been referred to as The Passover when the passover was not a day, but the meal eaten (the sacrifice partaken of during a Passover Seder) at the very end of that day at the start of Nisan 15. The Apostle Paul backs up John the Beloved by saying Yeshua was “sacrificed as a Passover Lamb” (I Cor. 5:7), which means He was sacrificed as a Passover Lamb on Nisan 14. Additionally, Paul proclaims: “Christ has been raised from the dead, the First Fruit of those who sleep” (I Cor. 15:20), which according to my calculations, three days and three nights would have been Nisan 17 – the Feast of First Fruits (Bikkurim).
So, when Queen Esther went before the king on Nisan 17, she was literally flowing according to God’s Biblical Calendar whether she knew it, or not (See Leviticus 23:9-14). Historically, great salvation and deliverance has happened on the Feast of First Fruit (Bikkurim). Not only were the Jewish people saved from certain death in Persia on First Fruits; but on First Fruits, Noah’s Ark came up out of the waters of death and rested safely on Mount Ararat. On First Fruits, the waters of the Red Sea parted, and God’s people came up safely on the other side. On First Fruits, Yeshua resurrected conquering death forever!
Through the eternal practices of fasting and prayer, Queen Esther, Mordecai and their kinsmen entered into another time from eternity. They tapped into the exact time on earth when the Jewish Messiah Yeshua would not only become their deliverer, but the Savior for the entire world.
When the 13th of Adar finally came around in Esther’s day, the Lord turned the tables by allowing the Jews to kill all their enemies. Can you hear them breathing a sound of relief? It’s interesting that we don’t hear of a massacre at this time. However, we do hear of the ten sons of Haman being killed. In the Day of the Lord, Messiah Yeshua will destroy the False Messiah and his ten heads (Dan. 8, Rev. 13) just as Queen Esther and Mordecai overcame Haman and his sons.
We are at another Esther moment. Behold, the Bride of the Messiah (i.e., Corporate Esther) has been born for such a time as this. The Bride of Christ will petition her Beloved – the King of Kings – for her life and the life of her people (all of humanity) in this Kingdom Day.

Though in the natural, God appears to be concealed in the Book of Esther, His Presence is throughout in His people. The Book of Esther centers around its name sake – Queen Esther – and her bridal walking out her devotion to the Lord amidst dire circumstances. Always remember that Queen Esther is a type-n-shadow for the True Bride of the Messiah who does the right things that results in moving the king’s heart to reverse the enemy’s plan.
The Jewish Encyclopedia tells of Esther being an orphan of the Tribe of Benjamin. Her father Abihail died before her birth while her mother died at her birth. Therefore, Esther was reared in the house of her cousin Mordecai. Esther’s original name was Hadassah, which mean myrtle (Esther 2:7). The myrtle plant is a symbol of love and is the Hebrew symbol for marriage. Myrtle branches are also among the materials listed that are needed for the restoration of the Feast of Tabernables – God’s Dwelling Place. Refer to Nehemiah 8:14-15.
Let us get back to the history of Esther. Recall that the King of Persia – Ahasuerus (Xerxes) – had deposed Queen Vashti due to her refusal to appear at a banquet before the assembled princes of the realm (Esther 1:10-22). Many beautiful maidens were then brought before the king so he could choose a worthy successor to the headstrong and rebellious Vashi.
The king’s eunuchs scoured the country in search of new wife for the Persian monarch. Acting on her own judgment or upon the order of Mordecai, Esther hid herself so she would not be seen of men. She remained in seclusion for four years until God’s own voice urged her to go to the king’s palace where her absence had been noticed. Being more than fashionably late, Esther’s appearance among the candidates for the queen’s vacant place caused quite a commotion. Talk about a timely and dramatic entry!
Esther spurns the usual resources that the Persian Empire used to enhance her beauty, so much so that Hegai, the guardian of the women, became alarmed lest he be accused of neglect. Therefore, Hegai showers Esther with attention and places riches at her disposal not given to the others. Yet, Esther refuses being a faith-filled Hebrew soul along with her seven attendants. She continues her modest mode of living.
A Median and Persian woman flanked Esther on both sides when she was brought before the king. Yet, Esther’s beauty out shined them all. The king had been in the habit of comparing all the applicants with a picture of Vashti suspended over his couch. Up to the time when Esther approached the king, none had eclipsed her beauty. At the sight of graceful Esther, the king removed the picture of his unfaithful queen. The king was immediately smitten; however, Esther didn’t reveal her people or her kindred, as instructed by Mordecai (Esther 2:10). After assuring King Ahasuerus that she was of princely blood, Esther turns the conversation in a wonderful playful way with some counter-questions regarding Vashti, leaving the king delighted and curious.
The story goes: “The king loved Esther more than all the women, and she found more favor and kindness before him than all the other maidens; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen in place of Vashti. Then the king made a great banquet for all his officers and his servants – it was Esther’s banquet – and he proclaimed an amnesty for the provinces, and gave gifts worthy of the king’s hand” (Esther 2:17-18 Tanach).

The Biblical Feast of Purim begins sundown on Thursday, February 25, 2021 and goes for two days. On the Hebrew Calendar, Purim is celebrated on the 14th day of Adar, which is the day that God’s people arose victorious against the loathsome Haman. However, due to the fighting lasting for two days, Shushan Purim is celebrated on the 15th of Adar.
Traditionally, Hebrews have celebrated Purim by remembering the miracles of Purim through four blessings:
[1] God’s people honor the appointed time of Purim as directed in the Scriptures: “Therefore, they called these days ‘Purim’ from the word ‘pur.’ Therefore, because of all that was written in this letter, and because of what they had seen concerning this, and what has happened to them, the Jews confirmed and undertook upon themselves, and their posterity, and upon all who might join them, without fail, to observe these two days, in their prescribed manner, and in their proper time each year. And these days should be remembered and celebrated every generation, every family, every province, and every city; and these days of Purim should never cease among the Jews, nor shall their remembrance perish from their descendants” (Esther 9:26-28 Tanach).
[2] God’s people performing acts of kindness: “As the days on which the Jews gained relief from their enemies, and the month that had been turned about for them from one of sorrow to gladness, and sending delicacies to one another, and gifts to the poor” (Esther 9:22 Tanach).
[3] God’s people hear the reading of the entire Book of Esther (Megillah of Esther).
[4] God’s people enjoying a special Purim meal together.
We are told in the Midrash Esther – the commentary about the Book of Esther – that Purim will even be celebrated after the final redemption after the End of Days, because God’s incredible and faithful deliverance of His people will be magnified in the cataclysmic events that leads to the establishment of the Messiah’s Kingdom. In fact, the Second Coming of Messiah Yeshua will be regarded as the final Purim. The Hebrew Sage Maimonides says that the Book of Esther with enjoy the same status as the fives book of the Torah (Books of Moses) in the world to come (Mishneh Torah, Megillah).
We will soon go into how Purim is not only a Biblical Feast, but also a Bridal Feast, as gloriously demonstrated by Queen Esther herself. This is the primary reason why I call Purim a Love Feast.
For now, let us focus on how God’s love and purposes joined forces with faithful Queen Esther and those with her to overrule the forces of evil trying to annihilate them. God’s great and sovereign love is all of our hope in these dark end of days. Always remember that Scripture repeatedly articulates that those whose trust in God will be saved. The Sweet Singer of Israel – King David – especially embodied this reality:
“Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish in the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him” (Psalms 2:12 NKJV).
“But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; let those also who love Your name be joyful in You” (Psalms 5:11 NKJV).
“O LORD my God, in You I put my trust; save me from all those who persecute me; and deliver me” (Psalms 7:1b NKJV).
“And those who know Your Name will put their trust in You; for You, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You” (Psalms 9:10 NKJV).
“Preserve me, O God, for in You I put my trust” (Psalms 16:1b NKJV).
“Show Your marvelous loving kindness by Your right hand, O You who save those who trust in You from those who rise up against them” (Psalms 17:7 NKJV).
“The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength in whom I will trust; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies. … As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him” (Psalms 18:2-3,30 NKJV).
You get the idea. And that is just the first eighteen chapters of the Book of Psalms. The lives of Queen Esther and King David hold many keys for us in this hour of great need. Study them and press into the Most High God that saves those who trust in Him.

“For by GRACE you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it IS THE GIFT OF GOD” (Ephesians 2:8 NKJV).
“But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the GRACE OF GOD AND THE GIFT BY THE GRACE OF THE ONE MAN, JESUS CHRIST, abounded to many. And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification. I love God’s grace!!! I speak “great grace” over people all the time and truly believe that we all need it! However, let us not think that God’s grace overlooks any sin in our lives: “Dear friends, I had been eagerly planning to write to you about the salvation we all share. But now I find that I must write about something else, urging you to defend the faith that God has entrusted once for all time to His holy people. I say this because SOME UNGODLY PEOPLE HAVE WORMED THEIR WAY INTO YOUR CHURCHES, SAYING THAT GOD’S MARVELOUS GRACE ALLOWS US TO LIVE IMMORAL LIVES. The condemnation of such people was recorded long ago, for they have denied our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. … Enoch, who lived in the seventh generation after Adam, prophesied about these people. He said, ‘Listen! The Lord is coming with countless thousands of His holy ones to execute judgment on the people of the world. He will convict every person of all the ungodly things they have done and for all the insults that ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.’ These people are grumblers and complainers, living only to satisfy their desires. They brag loudly about themselves, and they flatter others to get what they want” (Jude 1:4-5; 14-16 NLT).
Always remember that grace has a purpose, and that purpose is for obedience to the faith (gospel): “Through Him we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations for His Name” (Romans 1:5 NKJV).
“For I am jealous for you with jealousy of God Himself. I promised you as a pure bride to one husband – Christ. But I fear that somehow our pure and undivided devotion to Christ will be corrupted, just as Eve was deceived by the cunning ways of the serpent. You happily put up with whatever anyone tells you, even if they preach a different Jesus than the one we preach, or a different kind of Spirit than the one you received, or a different gospel that the one you believed. … These people are false apostles. They are deceitful workers who disguise themselves as apostles of Christ. But I am not surprised! Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no wonder that his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. In the end they will get the punishment their wicked deeds deserve” (II Corinthians 11:2-4,13-15 NLT).
“Now, may the grace and joyous favor of the Lord Jesus Christ, the unambiguous love of God, and the precious communion that we share in the Holy Spirit be yours continually. Amen!” (II Corinthians 13:14 TPT).

“For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.” ~ Jude 1:4
Consider that grace empowers us to live out His commandments, because they’re written on our hearts when we receive Yeshua as our Lord and Savior. In fact, Romans 1 tells us that grace has a purpose – obedience. “The gospel concerning His Son, who was descended from David according to the flesh designated Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness by His resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord, through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of His name among all the nations” (Romans 1:3-5 RSV).
In Yeshua (Jesus), the Bible takes on a new relevance. We are no longer under the condemnation of the law. We are no longer under the law as a system of righteousness. We are no longer under the law as a schoolmaster to lead us to the Messiah. The Old Testament is the New Testament concealed. The New Testament is the Old Testament revealed. “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16 NASB). For those who seek to minimize the Old Testament, please remember that Paul taught about grace in Romans 10 from the Book of Deuteronomy, and Jesus did warfare against the devil in Matthew 4 quoting Deuteronomy.
Let’s not minimize any Scripture that has been inspired by God; and let’s not be caught unawares turning God’s incredible grace into a false grace or hyper grace.

The first Hebrew word in Scripture is bereshit, which is translated into the English as “in the beginning.” One of the ways that the Hebrews find hidden meanings in Scripture is to rearrange the Hebrew letters in a word. If one rearranges the Hebrew letters of bereshit (בְּרֵאשִׁ֖ית) in a different order, we get shir taev. Shir taev means “song of desire.”
With this, the Hebrew Sages have extrapolated that God created the world in song (harmony) in its crystal-clear pure form. Shir taev expresses not only God creating the heavens and earth through song, but the longing of all of creation to glorify God. That is why creation groans for the manifestation of the sons of God, because they long to sing their perfect pitch song to their Creator (Romans 8:22).
God created the angels to sing, the stars to sing, the planets (spheres) to sing, the beasts, the plants, the trees… the whole universe sings. Part of the ministry of the restoration of all things is to bring all things back into perfect harmony with their Creator. Especially, the spiritual kinnor (human soul made in God’s own image) was made to flow by God’s perfectly pure harmonics. These days I find myself doing farm chores telling the lambs, the cows, the grass, the stones, the angels, et cetera to join me in praising the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Won’t you join me in resounding His sounds?
The Hebrew Sages tell that on the night of the Exodus, God ordered the angels to stop singing, because all of Israel was singing on earth. Both God and His angels stopped to listen to their song(s) of deliverance, which had been their song of desire for a very long time.
When both the choirs in heaven and on earth intone simultaneously their praise of God, it is the highest expression of worship that can be achieved. Therefore, whenever God’s people gather to focus solely on Him through praise and worship hymns and songs, angels do the same in the celestial realm.
The music of creation responds to heavenly music and vice versa.
King David was an open book before the Lord. He bared his heart to Him. This is one of the reasons why Sweet Singer of Israel made such pleasing music to the One whom his soul loved – the One who first loved his soul. It is said that shir taev (song of desire) corresponds to the Bridal Book – the Song of Solomon. The Song of Solomon is the best of all songs. It is the pure and perfect song that all other songs sing.

As I rolled around trying to stay in bed a little longer, I started a Sabbath conversation with my Beloved Yeshua. After all, this is the Seventh Day Sabbath mentioned in His Word. And, He is My Sabbath Rest, and I am His.
I asked Yeshua if I could share His Intercessor burdens with Him, as His helpmate. As I noticed that an incredibly difficult burden did not hit me (as I rested in Him on the Sabbath), Yeshua told me: “I was made for this; but you being with Me helps me tremendously, because I am not alone.”
It dawned on me that one of the kingdom purposes for the Seventh Day Sabbath is simply to stay intimately connected to Him in a consorted way. Lingering and longing for His Presence is a two-way street. Yeshua also longs to linger in a restful love embrace with us, as much (or more) that we do. The mutual lingering in love assists Messiah Yeshua with His intercessory burdens. Just wow! Talk about a new rest perspective!
I am choosing to linger longer in Him and with Him, which somehow is part of the excellent culmination of creation: “By the seventh day God completed His work, which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made” (Genesis 2:2-3 NASB).

Behold, there are two wooden chairs with gold trim and red plush velvet cushions trimmed in gold too. These chairs are for royalty – a king and a queen. A very reflective wooden table is before the two royal seats. The table acts like a mirror, as it reflects a scroll that rolls out. Yeshua and His Bride sit in these two royal chairs. The scroll has a resonance of justice crying out from it, as we see rows upon rows upon rows upon rows upon rows of names of children on it whose lives were cut short. Yeshua proclaims, “These are mine.” Yeshua invites all these children into this heavenly room for justice. With one synchronized step, they all step into the room. The Bride of the Messiah and the children of heaven are led to announce: “We decree freedom and justice and abundant life for children worldwide.” Yeshua compassionately shares: “These are part of you. You are all connected.” We see a grandmother’s genes going into a child and a child’s genes in the grandmother. We see the globe beneath us. The Lord joins us to pierce the earth through its core with a wheel-within-wheel scepter from the North Pole to the South Pole. There is a beautiful synergy of the purpose and destiny of children. Yeshua seated with His Bride pronounces: “The new axis for the world is justice for children. Touch not My anointed.”
