Know that even though there are seven Feasts of the Lord spelled out in Leviticus 23, which God Himself says: “These are My feasts” (Leviticus 23:12), there are two additional feast that are in the Bible. One of the Biblical Feasts – Purim – is commemorated in the Book of Esther – while Hanukkah is mentioned in John 10:22-23.
Know that with each of the Lord’s Feast a portal opens in the heavenlies, and there is a greater grace articulated in His various Biblical Feasts that His people can tap into at these times. These graces are always available, but somehow they are brought nearer as we cycle through the times He has set up. The years which the LORD has given to His people are set according to His Biblical Feasts. The months which the LORD has given to His people are set by His new moons and weeks are set by His seventh day Sabbaths. These are the times and the seasons set up by the Lord Himself as articulated in His Word.
If the ORDER in the Order of Melchizedek is going to abide in an intimate rest worship stance, they must resonate at the frequency of His word. By the way, the Dead Sea Scrolls also speaks of the songs sung over the Sabbath Sacrifices, which are still resonating throughout eternity seeking for a place where they can manifest and rest.
“The word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it, For we which have believed do enter the rest … For He spoke in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all His works. There remains therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into His rest, he also has ceased from his own works, as God did from His” (Hebrews 4:2,4, 9-10).
These “Songs of the Sabbath Sacrifice” were sung to Melchizedek – the chief angelic priest – in one fragment. The New Living Creature of the One New Man in the Christ is called the Cherubim in Ezekiel 10, and that word “Cherubim” can either be a divine or human messenger according to the Hebrew Scripture and the Greek Septuagint.
The bottom line is that the Eternal Order of Melchizedek operates from a position of REST as the Seventh Day Transfigured Son — the One New Man in the Messiah.

WINGS in the Word of God speaks of opening things to kingdom life and action.
Please let me explain. The various forms of the living creatures in the Bible all have wings. The word “wings” in Hebrew is Strong’s OT:3671 “kanaph.” Its Hebrew Word Picture — כָּנָף — tells us that wings are the beginning of covered (enthroned, kingdom) life and action. Or we can say that wings speak of kingdom life and action as well as open things up to it. Or we can also say that wings opens things by speaking life.
כָּ – pictograph of the Hebrew letter “kaf” is a wing or open hand that symbolizes 1) to allow 2) to cover 3) to open.
נָ – pictograph of the Hebrew letter “noon” is a fish darting through the water that symbolizes 1) action 2) life.
ף – pictograph of the Hebrew letter “pey” is a mouth. It symbolizes 1) to speak 2) to open 3) the beginning, like a river.
A Hebrew Word Picture is when you put the different pictures that the Hebrew letters represent together to understand a deeper meaning of a Hebrew word.
“And He rode upon a cherub, and flew; He flew upon the wings of the wind” (Psalm 18:10 NKJV).

When believers accept Jesus (Yeshua) as our Lord and Savior, we say that Jesus has been put in our heart. In other words, eternity has been put in our heart. Technically, eternity was not put in our hearts due to salvation, because eternity has already been set in the heart of every person made in God’s own image (Genesis 1:26-27; Ecclesiastes 3:11). Every human being has been created as unlimited, just like our Heavenly Father, Yeshua and the Holy Spirit. “Then God said, ‘Let Us make man in Our image” (Genesis 1:26 NASB). We just haven’t actualized this reality on earth, as it is in heaven, yet, where this mortality takes on immortality.
We need to understand that accepting the sovereign gift of salvation of Yeshua’s sacrifice on the Cross in reality activates the incorruptible seed of eternity set in a person’s heart from the beginning.
So, why would you or I want to remain tethered to the fallen world once our eternal unlimited reality has become activated? You may believe that you are only tethered to the True Messiah Yeshua, but understand that our celebrations (i.e., worship practices) reveal this actuality, or not.
Since the worldwide winter celebration called New Year is upon us, let’s examine the limited concept and world of Father Time. The celebration of the New Year’s Day on January 1st and New Year’s Eve on December 31st comes from Babylon, flows through Greece and Rome and culminates in our modern-day drunken extravaganza. The pagan gods of time do the same, culminating in today’s Father Time.
The mythological figure of Father Time is based upon earlier pictures of Saturn, including symbols of the scythe and hour-glass. The prophet Amos speaks against those people who worship Saturn instead of the Creator who made the Pleiades and Orion (Amos 5:8).
Understand that Father Time and Father Christmas (Santa Claus) are both rooted in the worship of the ancient Chaldean god Saturn. Reverend Alexander Hislop’s book “The Two Babylons” records: The original name of Rome was “Saturnalia,” the city of Saturn, the city on seven hills where the Roman god Saturn formerly reigned. The whole of Italy was long after called by his name being commonly called “The Saturnian Land.” On the Capitoline hill, the image of Saturn, the formerly great Chaldean god, had been erected as a great high place of Roman worship when the Pagan Roman Emperors laid claim to the title pontifex maximus. The pontifex maximus existed in Rome from the earliest of times and was modeled after the head Pontiff at Babylon. Hislop plainly points out that Saturn is another name for Satan.
In my book SANTA-TIZING, I write extensively about the Roman Saturnalia (Saturn Worship), which is the immediate predecessor of our modern-day Christmas season. Not only is the Roman Saturnalia one of the founts of Christmas, but its Saturn Worship is also the origins of the Golden Calf that Aaron made (Exodus 32:4). Saturnalia itself developed from the older rituals of midwinter (i.e., the winter solstice) and goes all the way back to Babylon in the ancient land of Mesopotamia, where the midwinter king’s (initially Tammuz) birthday was celebrated on December 25. The Saturnalia was said to be a reenactment of the happy age when Saturnus reigned the earth as its first king. Take your pick. In the natural realm, the earth’s first king was the mighty one Nimrod, in the spiritual realm this equates to Satan (i.e., Saturn). Gladiators fought to the death in Saturnalia funeral games. Today, the ancestor of the worship of Saturn has death as its fruit too. The Christmas season is known as the heart attack season in hospitals. It is also known for having the highest suicide risk of the year.
Several sources say that Saturnalia was a seasonal festival, which began in the middle of December continuing until January first. I have adopted this definition to simplify our understanding, but in actuality, by the fourth century the Romans celebrated three pagan festivals: the Saturnalia, Sol Invictus Mithra (December 25th birthday of the solar god called “The Nativity”) and the January Kalends.
The January Kalends was a New Year’s party. Today, Western civilization still follows the Kalends’ tradition of singing and heavy drinking on New Year’s Eve. A fourth century writer, Libanius, describes the Roman January Kalends: “The impulse to spend seizes everyone. . . . People are not only generous towards themselves, but also towards their fellow-men. A stream of presents pours itself out on all sides . . . The Kalends festival banishes all that is connected with toil, and allows men to give themselves up to undisturbed enjoyment.”
Even though I don’t emphasize the January Kalends much in my book SANTA-TIZING, please note that the gift-giving tradition connected to this ancient Roman New Year’s festival still existed in New York City when Christmas was forged into its modern image in the 1820s. The overwhelming element of our modern Christmas—shopping—was transported into America’s renewed image of Christmas via merchants and the Americanized Santa Claus tradition. It’s not merely a coincidence that the Temple of Saturn in the Roman Forum used to house the state’s treasury.
By the way, the January Kalends also has primordial roots that reach back into Babylon’s twelve-day New Year’s festival (i.e., Akiti) coupled with the magical appeal of its December sun god birth observance. Christmas acts like a homing device or talisman that never fails to point us back to the sensual place where mixture is its modus operandi. Christmas’s homing signal draws people together, reminding us to look not just to our immediate friends and family, but back toward Babylon.
The Yuletide season is the high tide for the year when the world is of one mind. The people of the earth are busy building a tower by our own desires and design, to get for ourselves what we believe is a slice of heaven. Remember that the Babylonian “land of merchants” status is exemplified by: harlotry, a continual lust for more, disdain for frugal spending, and shrines at the beginning of every street and in the high place of every town square. Although there is quite a bit of confusion, the Akiti celebrated during Babylon’s New Year and the birthday celebration for Tammuz on December 25 appears to have merged and morphed into our modern-day Christmas and New Year season via the Roman Saturnalia and the January Kalends.
Christmas and New Year celebrations are both rooted in the honor and worship of Saturn (Satan). It’s not mere happenstance that Saturn is defined as the Roman god of time as well as agriculture. “He . . . shall intend to change times and law . . .” (Dan. 7:25 NKJV).
This is not the most ancient path of the Ancient of Days; but the path of antiquity, which glorifies man and feeds his flesh. Materialism, sensual gratification, and carnal pleasure, readily apparent at Christmas and the January New Year celebrations, cannot, and do not, satisfy one’s soul, for these vices are earthly and sensual. It leaves people lusting for more as the manic shopping of December twenty-sixth attests. The kingdom of God is in direct opposition to the kingdom of self. How will the Church be able to stand before God justifying our Babylonian practices and our Greek mind-sets? Instead of time being sanctified as God designed and desires, it became triggers for idolatrous behavior, and shows us a worldly pattern for assimilating God’s people into pagan practices and thus corrupting God’s priesthood, who are supposed to be holy, with customs associated with idols.

The question is: “Where does the Messiah say: After I’m gone, continue to celebrate My feasts?” Or “Where am I commanded to celebrate the Feasts of the Lord?”
Just as Yeshua (Jesus) remained silent when He walked among His disciples on earth about the Gentiles joining the people of God in much greater numbers after His final ascension, so is the celebration of Biblical Feasts in this Kingdom Day. The answer we seek is in consulting the Spirit of the Living God and the entirety of what is written in Scripture.
Ironically, the clearest case in the New Testament for celebrating the Lord’s Feasts is presented in the chapter that many Christians have used as their excuse that they can celebrate anything they want, any way they want:
“Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of a holy day, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ” (Colossians 2:16-17 KJV).
Christians have long used Colossians 2:16-17 to rationalize why we should no longer celebrate the Lord’s Feast, but in fact this passage actually proves the opposite. The NASB version tells us: “Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard … to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day — things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ.” The very first point I’d like to emphasize is that YESHUA IS THE SUBSTANCE BEHIND ALL OF THE BIBLICAL FEASTS. His Spring Feasts (articulated in Leviticus 23) speak of His First Coming. His Fall Feasts speak of His Second Coming. The two winter feasts mentioned in God’s Word – Hanukkah and Purim – portray God’s people (the Church) journey to becoming His Bride. When we argue that we can celebrate a holiday (holy day or feast) any way we want, we have tapped into a portion of the truth. The next significant point is: WE ARE NOT TO JUDGE OTHERS ON HOW THEY CELEBRATE A BIBLICAL FESTIVAL, new moon or Sabbath day. Did you catch that? Paul is assuming that God’s people are celebrating all three of these things that mark God’s peoples weeks, months and years according to His Word. BTW – That word “judge” means we are not to criticize, censure, condemn, or punish people on how they celebrate a Biblical festival. (Note: I am leaving out new moons and Sabbaths out for simplicity’s sake).
There are many people currently returning to these Age-Old Foundations, and there is so much hullaballoo about what is the right way to do this and that. Let’s be perfectly clear. IT DOES NOT MATTER HOW YOU CELEBRATE A BIBLICAL FESTIVAL, AS LONG AS YOU ARE ENDEAVORING TO FOLLOW HIS WORD BY HIS SPIRIT, because celebrations are all about worship. “But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers” (John 4:23 NASB).
For example: Some people celebrate the Feast of Unleavened Bread by physically searching every nook and cranny of their house for yeast and throwing it all out. Others take this to mean that the Feast of Unleavened Bread is a time that Yah’s Family searches every nook and cranny of their heart to get rid of all sin. I fall in the later category, but I do not judge those who feel led to do otherwise. In fact, I even believe that each culture can, and will, bring their beautiful unique touches to each Biblical Feast. I have seen a tremendous amount of freedom within the worshipping the Father in spirit and truth context.
Know that there are only three Biblical Feasts that are called feasts forever: Passover, Pentecost and Tabernacles. Zechariah 14:16-17 tells us that in the Millennial Kingdom nations will not receive rain if they don’t come up to Jerusalem to worship the King from year to year, and specifically keep the Feast of Tabernacles. BTW – We have now entered that time frame here on earth.
If we want to walk in the same manner as Yeshua did and resonate at the same frequency as the Word of God Himself, we need to consider if the fullness of the measure of the stature of the Messiah includes celebrating all the feasts that He did (1 John 2:6; Eph 4:13). If not one jot or tittle will pass away, we need to consider why these other feasts are in His Word and whether they are significant to Him. I feel a resounding “Yes!” in my heart, because I want to walk like Yeshua, talk like Yeshua, and be exactly like Yeshua… But I also don’t want to be caught up in an old form or legalism. IN THIS KINGDOM DAY, WE ARE NOT NECESSARILY RETURNING TO THE FORMS OF WORSHIP BUT THE SUBSTANCE.
Recall that Yeshua is the substance of all the Biblical Feasts. Consider this in regard to both His Head and His Body. God’s people will literally embody the marks of time that the Lord Himself has put in place to set His people’s years, months and weeks. We are told that these are “shadows of things to come.” When God created man in His own image, the Hebrew word tzelem is used and is derived from tzel, which means “shadow.” Therefore, one of the interpretations of a “shadow of things to come” is the manifestation of Christ’s Body coming into its fullness as a perfect One New Man in Christ (Ephesians 2:15; Ephesians 4:13).
“Let NO MAN therefore judge you … in respect of a holy day… which are a shadow of things to come; but the BODY IS OF CHRIST” (Colossians 2:16-17 KJV). In NO MAN’S Land, Crucified Ones will rightly judge – open the Door of Life – to His Biblical Feasts, so Christ’s Body can connect to the mature Head who is casting the shadow. We must comprehend that a shadow always resembles its substance. When the Bible says it’s a “shadow of things to come,” it additionally means that we will be answering to the Creator, who is casting the shadow.
So no one is to act as your judge in regard to a festival, what matters is that we celebrate Him with a sincere heart. In the Kingdom of God, we all must respect the right of each individual to be “led by the Spirit.” However, the Lord says, “We have been called unto liberty, only use not this liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.” That brings us to our next significant point: THERE IS NO MIXTURE IN GOD’S APPOINTED TIMES AND FEASTS CELEBRATED IN HIS KINGDOM. The Lord will have us redeem things that have a righteous real to them. For instance, things that He has created like light, sound, colors, etc. But know this: The Lord does not redeem things that are demonic in origin and pagan at their roots. He judges them.
The passage directly after Colossians 2:16-17 speaks to our current situation in the Christian Church in regard to the holidays that we have assimilated which have mixture in them, like Christmas and Easter: “Let NO MAN beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, And not holding the Head, from which all the Body… knit together, increases with the increases of God. Wherefore if you be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are you subject to ordinances… which all are to perish with the using… after the commandments and doctrines of men? Which things have indeed a show of wisdom in will-worship [my note – We choose by our will to worship after the traditions of men] and humility, and neglecting of the Body [my note – not holding fast to the Head and not being knit and joined together in love according to His Word] not in any honor to the satisfying of the flesh.” (Colossians 2:18-23).
Celebrating Biblical Feasts is all about rewards and qualifying to be part of His Pure and Spotless Bride. It is not about salvation, which is solely through faith by grace. In NO MAN’S LAND, Crucified Ones will not allow themselves to be diverted, deceived, or beguiled from receiving their eternal rewards to the satisfaction of the flesh.
I can go line-upon-line speaking for days to show you how Colossians 2:18-23 speaks about the mixture involved in the big yearly worship celebrations of the Christian Church – Christmas and Easter – but I don’t have the time or space here. BTW – I wrote about all this in extreme detail in my book. The link is below. Frankly, all you need to do is lay down Easter and Christmas on His Altar, and simply ask Him: “Can I receive my eternal reward of being part of Your Pure & Spotless Bride, if I celebrate Christmas and Easter?” Then be quiet and listen; and make sure that you are truly hearing Him, not the idols of your heart.
