Turn… Turn… Turn to the Lord… Turn the Key of the House of David. “Then I will set the Key of the House of David on his shoulder, when he opens no one will shut, when he shuts no one will open” (Isaiah 22:22 NASB).
It is not a coincidence that all roads for America’s freedom goes through the city of brotherly love – Philadelphia – again. In fact, the entire world’s freedom seems to be centered on Philadelphia as well. God appears to be using “Philadelphia” as His prophetic message in this Kingdom Day. Recall that to the church of Philadelphia, the Beloved Apostle John wrote the testimony of Yeshua (Jesus) as follows: “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: He who is holy, who is true, who has the Key of David, who opens and no one will shut, and who shuts and no one opens, says this: ‘I know your deeds. Behold, I have put before you an open door which no one can shut, because you have a little power, and have kept My word, and have not denied My name. Behold, I will cause those of the synagogue of Satan, who say that they are Jews [i.e. believers] and are not, but lie – I will make them come and bow down at your feet, and make them know that I have loved you. Because you have kept the word of My perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. I am coming quickly; hold fast what you have, so that no one will take your crown. He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the Temple of My God, and he will not go out from it anymore; and I will write on him the name of My God, and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God, and My new name. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches’” (Revelation 3:7-13 NASB, Addition mine).
There are many aspects to the Key of the House of David included in the incredible sovereign ability to open and close anything in alignment with the perfect will of the Heavenly Father. Kings and priest made after the Order of Melchizedek ruling in the midst of their enemies via Zion’s scepter is one of those features: “ ‘The LORD says to my Lord: sit at My right hand until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.’ The LORD will stretch forth Your strong scepter from Zion, saying, ‘Rule in the midst of Your enemies.’ Your people will volunteer freely in the day of Your power; In holy array, from the womb of the dawn, Your youth are to You as the dew. The LORD has sworn and will not change His mind, ‘You are a priest forever according to the Order of Melchizedek” (Psalms 110:1-4 NASB).
We are told that Mount Zion is the joy of the whole earth (Psalms 43:6). One of the reasons that Mount Zion is the joy of the whole earth is that, spiritually speaking, the substance of Mount Zion are the people who have an immovable trust in the LORD, because they are abiding in Him (Psalms 125:1).
Physically speaking, Mount Zion is a small hill within the city of current day Jerusalem. Sometimes, the city of Jerusalem is called Zion. Historically speaking, King David erected a simple tent with God’s approval on Mount Zion, which was called the Tabernacle of David.
There are three Hebrew words for “tabernacle” in the Bible. The one first connected to the Tabernacle of David is the ohel. The ohel was the covering tent over the Tabernacle (mishkan) that Moses erected in the Wilderness. It pictured (pictures) the higher reality of a heavenly tabernacle over the earthly tabernacle. King David made every effort to unite the earthly tabernacle with the heavenly, and to unite the earthly Jerusalem with the heavenly Jerusalem – the city of the Living God (Hebrews 12:22). Interestingly, ohel is also used for the bridal tent in II Samuel 16:22, which remarkably coincides with the picture painted of Mount Zion in Revelation 14.
There is a priestly ohel and a kingly ohel. The priestly ohel is the place David prepared for the Ark of God when he pitched a tent upon Mount Zion in Jerusalem (II Sam. 6:17-19; 1 Chr. 15-15). King David placed specific Kohens and Levites (priests) here, as singers and musicians to minister before the Ark of God continually. This established the Davidic Worship Order on Mount Zion. The Ark was in David’s Tent; therefore, it was considered to be God’s Throne on earth.
The kingly ohel is the place of promise where someone of David’s seed will sit on Throne of David in the Tabernacle of David: “In mercy the throne will be established; and one will sit on it in truth, in the Tabernacle of David, judging and seeking justice and hastening righteousness.” (Isaiah 16:5 NKJV).
Let’s zero in on the justice and judgment key of David. When Melchizedek kings and priests seek the perfect heart of the Father and fulfill His perfect will (just like Yeshua did – John 5:19), they are using His Zion scepter to rule in the midst of their enemies. Note that Isaiah 16:5 has two prerequisites to “judging and seeking justice and hastening righteousness”: (1) mercy – the establishment of God’s Throne is in the mercy that triumphs over judgment, and (2) truth – sitting on His throne with Him in truth.
We are a people who trust that “the fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether” (Psalms 19:9 KJV). We are a Melchizedek Company foretold about in the Dead Sea Scrolls, which portrays the fully mature Head and Body of Christ, as a godlike being that has taken “his” place in the council of God. It is in the midst of these divine beings that God Himself holds judgment. Check it out!

4 [the interpretation] is that it applies [to the L]ast Days and concerns the captives, just as [Isaiah said: “To proclaim the jubilee to the captives” (Isaiah 61:1) . . . . ] and 5 whose teachers have been hidden and kept secr[et], even from the inheritance of Melchizedek, f[or . . . ] and they are the inherit[ance of Melchize]dek, who 6 will return them to what is rightfully theirs. He will proclaim to them the jubilee, thereby releasing th[em from the debt of a]ll their sin. This word [will thus co]me 7 in the first week of the jubilee period that follows ni[ne j]ubilee periods, 8 when he shall atone for all the Sons of [Light] and the peopl[e who are pre]destined to Mel[chi]zedek. [ . . . ] upo[n the]m [ . . . ] For 9 this is the time decreed for “the year of Melchiz[edek]’s favor” (Isa. 61:2, modified) and for [his] hos[ts, together] with the holy ones of God, for a kingdom of judgment, just as it is written 10 concerning him in the Songs of David. “A godlike being has taken his place in the coun[cil of God;] in the midst of the divine beings He holds judgment (Ps. 82:1). Scripture also s[ays] about him, “Over[it] 11 take your seat in the highest heaven; a divine being will judge the peoples” (Ps. 7:7-8).
We worship the One who sits upon The Throne and unto The Lamb! We praise His justice… His judgment… His righteousness!
Give em heaven!!!
