MARRIAGE CONTRACT WITH GOD

Decorative ketubah with wedding rings

It is extremely significant that Moses spent the days of Elul, which is our modern day forty-day Season of Teshuvah (Repentance), fasting and writing out his side of the ketubah (marriage contract) to God: “HASHEM said to Moses, “Write these words for yourself,’ for according to these words have I sealed a covenant with you and Israel.’ He remained there with HASHEM for forty days and forty nights – he did not eat bread and he did not drink water – and He wrote on the Tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments” (Exodus 34:27-28 Tanach).

A major way that I will meditate on God’s Word is to slowly write out Scripture, as I am checked in to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. I have many journals to testify to this fact. Sometimes we talk and sometimes it’s a telepathic connection, but understand I am not merely interested in words and concepts. My utmost interest is to get to know Yeshua Ha Machiach (Jesus Christ) personally and His beauty-filled ways. It is truly about the ultimate heart and mind connection. One of the most incredible and weighty compliments that the Lord has ever given me is saying: “You are a woman of My Word.” If you peered inside my journals, not only would you see Scripture, but you would also see that I wrote down any revelation that flowed along with various pictures to encapsulate what I comprehended. It is an excellent way to stimulate my recall.

Somehow, I believe that all this was at work when Moses climbed the Mountain of God the second time to get a second chance at the ketabah – the Marriage Contract between God and man. The first time God had gifted the Ten Commandments, which was written by the finger of God on two sapphire cubes. Please refer to https://sapphirethroneministries.wordpress.com/2017/06/03/quantum-pentecost-leap/. These are the “Tablets” that Moses supernaturally broke at the foot of the mountain due to the incident of the Golden Calf: “It happened as he drew near the camp and saw the calf and the dances, that Moses’ anger flared up. He threw down the Tablets from his hands and shattered them at the foot of the mountain” (Exodus 32:19 Tanach).

The second time the ketubah was not exclusively the handiwork of God. Man – Moses – had to do his part by carving out two stone cubes that God would then inscribe. How critical that there are two sides to any marriage contract. The second ketubah was forged between God and man.

I believe that Moses heartfelt agreement cause him to somehow write these same words, either physically, mentally, or spiritually, as Exodus 34:27 suggests. As Moses wrote the words for his ketubah with God, he deeply meditated upon every jot and tittle written. Moses contemplated what God meant by this word or that, and its connection to other things. Moses also deliberated about what was his part (how could he and his people keep their side of the marriage contract with the Most High God).

Why I say this is, because Moses did not return the same after his second trip up Mount Sinai. Sure. Moses was placed in the cleft of the rock to be shown His Glory, but his encounter with The Rock of Israel would not have happened without Moses personal and deep-felt connection to His Beloved – the Word of God.

We should use this as a template for every Season of Repentance since this was the very first occurrence. After Moses spent forty days and forty nights in God’s Presence in prayer, fasting, writing, and mediation, he was shown God’s Glory and overflowed with His Dwelling Presence (i.e., Shekinah): “When Moses descended from Mount Sinai – with the two Tablets of the Testimony in the hand of Moses as he descended from the mountain – Moses did not know that the skin of his face had become radiant when He had spoken to him” (Exodus 34:29 Tanach).

This Season of Teshuvah let us make it our goal to ascend God’s Mountain to spend so much time in His Word and in His Presence that we fulfill our side of the ketubah with God. Thus, we will be like Moses where we are transcendently sustained and filled with His Shekinah Glory.

Give em heaven!!!

DAYS OF FAVOR

The Days of Elul begin sundown on August 7, 2021, which marks the beginning of a 40-day Season of Repentance (teshuvah). This is a time to return home. This is a time to get one’s spiritual house in order by seeking His face and humbling oneself in the sight of the Lord with a broken and contrite heart (II Chronicles 7:14; James 4:6,10; Psalms 34:17-19).

The Hebrews say that this 40-day Season of Teshuvah has its roots in the second time that Moses went up Mount Sinai to receive the second set of the ketubah (marriage contract), which is also know as the Ten Commandments. The reason that this second chance is so important is that God reconsidered wiping out His entire nation (except Moses) after they had worshipped the infamous idol of the Golden Calf. Please refer to https://santatizing.wordpress.com/2016/12/17/choose-this-day-the-golden-calf-or-his-marriage-contract/ and http://wp.me/p158HG-kH.

Significantly, God relented due to Moses pleading for grace, grace, grace for His people. Once Moses attained God’s favor, he ascended God’s Mountain on Rosh Chodesh Elul – the beginning of the Hebrew month of Elul – and he descended forty days later on tenth day of Tishri, which concludes on the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur). Due to the incredible forgiveness God granted to His set-apart nation for the grievous sin of the Golden Calf, the Hebrews sometimes call the Season of Repentance – Yemei Ratzon (יְמֵי רָצוֹן) – “Days of Favor.”

The whole wide world is need of this kind of forgiveness and favor again in our day. Not only do the vast majority of God’s people literally repeat the worship of the Golden Calf annually; but few humble themselves, pray and seek His face with the purpose of turning from their wicked ways.

I urge everyone to not let this divine opportunity pass you by. Perhaps, this Season of Repentance could be your last chance in the land of the living to restore your broken relationship with God and your fellow man.

Remember that each and every one of our days are in the hands of the Lord, and He protects those He considers righteous. Just do not make the mistake of assuming you are righteous. That is what deluded people do. The problem is that we don’t know if we are deluded or deceived until we have had our light bulb moment, which seems to happen once we have chosen to humble ourselves, or after some difficult life circumstances have humbled us. Refer to https://sapphirethroneministries.wordpress.com/2019/09/08/time-of-testing-exposure/.

The essential ingredient for the solution to deception is humility, which means destroying your own wall of self-protection. You can choose to simply humble yourself by truly asking the Lord if He considers you righteous and wait for His answer. Or, you can seek the Lord, like King David did, and ask God to search your heart to see if there be any wicked way in me: “Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; and see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting: (Psalms 134:23-24 NKJV).

I know way too many people that believe that they are righteous when, in fact, they are not… and they are even leading others astray. Self-deception need arrogance (pride) to be kept in place; therefore, the solution is always choosing to be humble and teachable before God and man with a repentant heart.

Today is day that life and death as well as blessings and curses are set before us. Let us each choose this day whom we will serve – the Most High God or ourselves (Deuteronomy 30:14-20).

Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. For He is our God, And we are the people of His pasture, And the sheep of His hand. Today, if you will hear His voice: Do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion, as in the day of trial in the wilderness, when your fathers tested Me; They tried Me, though they saw My work. For forty years I was grieved with that generation,’ And said, ‘It is a people who go astray in their hearts, And they do not know My ways.’ So I swore in My wrath, ‘They shall not enter My rest.’” (Psalms 95:6-11 NKJV).

Let us enter our Promise Land, which is our Sabbath Rest who is our Maker. Never forget that He is our Sabbath rest, and we are His. His favor is for life (Psalms 30:5)!

Give em heaven!!!

COSMIC CODE OF THE HEBREW LIVING LETTERS

Orit Martin - Inifinite Light

Last Sabbath, Yeshua stared deeply into my eyes. Then He looked down at Himself, and I was greatly moved when I saw Him open His robe. In the midst of Messiah Yeshua (Jesus Christ) was a mysterious place where the Hebrew Living Letters swirled. Within Yeshua, the letters that make up the essence of the Word of God live and move and have their being.

It’s very significant that Yeshua gave me a glimpse of what is within Him during the Days of Elul. The Days of Elul are the Season of Repentance on God’s Biblical Calendar, which is the most appropriate time for genuine soul-searching. Know that God’s Biblical Calendar connects us to the Messiah and His eternal reality, unlike other calendars and celebrations (refer to https://sapphirethroneministries.wordpress.com/2017/11/07/festive-tethers-to-space-time/).

Yesterday, I mentioned that the Days of Elul are a time of greater grace for truly searching what’s within yourself in order to return, to repent, to come back, to turn away (from the way that you are going, which is serving another kingdom) by destroying the house (that selfishness built) to turn toward the house of El Shaddai (the All-Sufficient Almighty One).

Yeshua is called the Word of God in Revelation 19:13. We also call Scripture (i.e., the  Bible) the Word of God, because it is written of Him: “Then I said, ‘Behold, I come; in the scroll of the book it is written of me” (Psalms 40:7 NASB).

Periodically, I have come across people who insist that the Bible isn’t the Word of God. They talk about the differences in translations, which is true. I personally like the various translations and try to go back to the original Hebrew and Greek to get the correct context.

They talk about people being focused on the Bible and not on a relationship with the Messiah, which can easily happen. Many moons ago, I remember really digging into Scripture to answer some questions for a Bible Study Fellowship class when Yeshua showed up. He was trying to talk to me, and I was trying to remember my “profound” thought by writing it down. When Yeshua said, “I am right here,” I looked up into His beautiful eyes and dropped my pencil with a heart full of conviction. Our goal should always be a seamless understanding and intimate relationship with the Way and the Truth and the Life of the Word of God.

The people who insist that the Bible isn’t the Word of God talk about people camping out on their interpretation of the Bible and causing division, which happens all too often. We are called to love, honor and respect everyone – believers and non-believers alike. If someone has a genuine conviction of a truth in Scripture, I have found, most often, they have one aspect of “the truth.” But… usually only one. The Word of God is so multi-dimensional. Only religious, pride-filled, immature souls believe that their “truth” is the only truth. These are also the ones who seem to falsely assume that God doesn’t speak to us today.  The Word of God speaks to every generation. We must learn to be silent and listen. Every human being has been built to hear the Word of God (the Faithful and True Messiah Yeshua) personally for themselves in every aspect of their lives as well as through the book that is written of Him – the Bible.  We don’t have to diminish the book written of the Messiah to get people to listen and learn of Him personally. His people can, and should, do both. Ultimately, they are both about the Word in heaven and the Word made flesh.

Don’t forget that Yeshua Himself tells us: “Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill” (Matthew 5:17 NASB). When we walk in the same manner as Yeshua in order to become just like Him, we fulfill all the Old Testament stuff, just like He did. This means that we fill it up full of meaning; and thus, attain a oneness with His heart (Ezekiel 11:19). For more on this, please refer to https://sapphirethroneministries.wordpress.com/2017/05/21/fulfillment-is-a-place-of-rest/ and https://sapphirethroneministries.wordpress.com/2017/05/24/how-did-yeshua-fulfill-the-law/.

The Living Word of God is made up of living letters. Or in other words, the Bible is a message written in a cosmic code of Hebrew Living Letters that reveal the Word of God – Yeshua. “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, THE WORD, and the Holy Ghost: and these three agree in one. … And this is the record, that God hath given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son” (1 John 5:7,11 KJV).

Let’s get back to the basics of eternal life and love. Let’s press in to know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death; in order that we may attain to the resurrection of this mortality taking on immortality (Phil. 3:10-11; 1 Cor. 15:53).

SEASON OF REPENTANCE

Elul - Season of Repentance

One of the most excellent gifts from our Father of Lights above is repentance. Repentance is a beautiful gift that keeps giving for those who choose to humble themselves under the mighty hand of God. This is where we get our second, third and umpteenth chance.

Yesterday’s article spoke of the 40-day Season of Repentance on God’s Biblical Calendar that runs from the first day of Elul to the Biblical Feast of Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) that happens every year. Recall that it’s the time of year to prepare for the Days of Awe by getting your house in order.

Repentance is for the humble in heart. It’s for those with a heart of David: “Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: and see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting” (Psalm 139:23-24 KJV).

One of the Hebrew words for humble is shach (shin chet). Its Hebrew Word Picture tells us that humility comes when you or I destroy the wall (of self-protection) while the Hebrew word picture for pride is to lift up (yourself in your own) strength. Think about how a rebellious child acts like they can always do it themselves and won’t ask for help, even when they need it. They are also typically demanding and ungrateful. Contrast this with a humble, obedient child (we are talking about a loving relationship with our Heavenly Father here) who is teachable, grateful and kind.

Notice that it is “I” that determines whether a person is humble or in pride. The quintessential verse for the Season of Repentance (sometimes called the Days of Elul) is “I am for my Beloved and my Beloved is for me.” Note how this phrase in the Song of Songs also begins with “I.” This is not a coincidence.

In a Bible-believing Jewish community, it’s a well-known fact that the first letters in the words of the phrase “I am my Beloved, and my Beloved is for me” (אֲנִי לְדוֹדִיוְדוֹדִי לִי) spells out “Elul” (אֶלוּל). According to God’s Calendar, this is the most appropriate time for personal introspection and soul-searching. Truly looking within oneself is a grace that is always available. It’s just that this great gift of genuine soul-searching draws nearer than usual for the purpose of redemption during God’s Season of Repentance. I like to say that specific greater grace portals open during God’s times and season. During the Days of Elul, there’s a greater grace for soul-searching and repentance.

Teshuvah is the Hebrew word for repentance, which means to return. Shoov (shin, bet) is the Hebrew word for return. If one delves into the depths of the Hebrew Word Picture for shoov, we understand that to return, to repent, to come back means to turn away (from the way that you are going, which is serving another kingdom) by destroying the house (that selfishness built) and turning toward the house of El Shaddai (the Almighty One).

Now is the time for soul-searching. Now is the time for repentance.

“I will go away and return to My place until they acknowledge their guilt and seek My face; in their affliction they will earnestly seek Me. ‘Come, let us return to the LORD. For He has torn us, but He will bandage us. He will revive us after two days; He will raise us up on the third day, that we may live before Him. So let us know, let us press on to know the LORD. His going forth is as certain as the dawn; and He will come to us like rain, like the spring rain watering the earth’” (Hosea 5:15-6:3 NASB).

Give em heaven!!!
