Q: How do I become His Sabbath Rest?

A: I believe that becoming His Sabbath Rest will differ slightly for each person, even though the Biblical principles should be the same. When I speak of becoming His Sabbath Rest, it not something yucky and legalistic. It has been quite an organic process for me. The more time that I spend in His Presence and in His Word, the more naturally/supernaturally my body, soul, and spirit powers down and settles into the seventh day Sabbath when I surrender to Him and His ways.

Yes. I said, “the seventh day Sabbath.” Significantly, what I am experiencing resonates at the frequency of the Word of God: “And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all of His work which God had created and made” (Genesis 2:2-3 _NKJV). If you study each of the seven days of creation, you will notice that unlike the other six days, the seventh day was not closed, so that His people can enter into it by doing as He did – resting from all our work to get rejuvenated.

One of the most delightful books I have come across is Abraham Joshua Heschel’s book called “The Sabbath.” He shares: “The art of keeping the seventh day is the art of painting on the canvas of time the mysterious grandeur of the climax of creation; as He sanctified the seventh day, so shall we. … Our keeping the Sabbath day is a paraphrase of His sanctification of the seventh day.”

As believers know, Messiah Yeshua and our Heavenly Father are supposed to be a continual focus in our lives. On the Sabbath, I endeavor to keep Him my continual focus, even more; AND I rest in that relationship, seeking not to do my own thing: “If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, From doing your pleasure on My holy day, And call the Sabbath a delight, The holy day of the LORD honorable, And shall honor Him, not doing your own ways, Nor finding your own pleasure, Nor speaking your own words, Then you shall delight yourself in the LORD; And I will cause you to ride in the high hills of the earth, And feed you the heritage of Jacob your father. The mouth of the LORD has spoken” (Isaiah 58:13-14 _NKJV).

Practically speaking, I now see the process of becoming His Sabbath Rest, as a lovely weekly date with my Beloved. For instance, I will converse with Yeshua, as I take a leisurely walk, a nap, or a lengthy shower. I will sit quietly with Him with a cup of tea. I will read and meditate on His Word, asking Him to teach me. I will pray to Him, giving Him all my concerns. Sometimes, I simply ask Him what He thinks. Sometimes, all I can do is come to Him with a heavy heart and ask Him to hold me and help me. Most Sabbaths, I spend quite a bit of time staying in His arms, as we hold each other. It really is so wonderful and intoxicating. I know that I was born for this. To be in a oneness relationship with my Beloved.

Setting aside Friday night to Saturday night is a lot easier said than done, especially when most of society worldwide flows to a different rhythm. This is how I am striving to enter His rest and become His Sabbath Rest.

I am discovering a profound reality that the ancient saints called the Sabbath a bride. When the people of Israel stood at Mount Sinai, the Lord told them to “remember the Sabbath day to sanctify it” (Exodus 20:8). The Hebrew word for “to sanctify” is le-kadesh, which means to consecrate a woman to be betrothed.

The Hebrews have such an exquisite gem for humanity. The idea of the Sabbath as a bride has been retained by Israel in their hymn Lechah Dodi, which is chanted when they corporately meet together. Even the sanctification over the wine is explained that just as the wedding ceremony is performed over a cup of wine, so the Sabbath is “the bride that enters the chupah.” To this day the meal that ends the seventh day Sabbath on Saturday night is called “the escort of the queen.” The Sabbath represents a queen as well as a bride, which we are when we enter His rest.

RESTORATION TIME – 12 STRANDS OF DNA

“Cherubim” in God’s Dwelling Place(s) mark the spot for returning to our primordial state, as it was in the Garden before the Fall, except better. Adam and Eve were created sinless, but not perfected. They still would have needed to mature or be made into the image of Christ.

Adam originally had one triple-helix with three DNA strands that represented body, soul and spirit made in the image of God. He was created with the potential to become a fully mature son of God, embracing the nine strands (Trinity: Father, Son, Holy Spirit x 3) of DNA that represent the fullness of God, added to his three strands to form the twelve that represents the fullness of government. Sin caused the DNA light strands to be lost (the wavelength of God that was within us).

This time (in this Kingdom Day) we are returning to as it was “in the beginning,” at the same time Mature/Maturing Sons are moving beyond this place to being formed into His Body (House).

Know that CHERUBIM can be either a divine (angelic) or sublime (human) messenger or sent one, and it’s related to the Order of Melchizedek (Please refer to https://sapphirethroneministries.wordpress.com/2013/11/21/taking-on-common-union-part-4/).

The Ancient Hebrew Word Picture for CHERUBIM tells us that that cherubim are a picture for where God opens His people up to His Kingdom in their midst through His Spirit, His Word and His massive deeds done, and it’s where God joins His Body together to make it a securely nailed dwelling place where His household is bound together within.

If you want to walk in the fullness of the measure of the stature of Christ with all 12 Strands of your DNA activated, look at “cherubim” in Scripture and make the concepts surrounding it active in your life. For instance, THE ONLY CHERUBIM PICTURED IN THE OUTER COURT OF GOD’S DWELLING PLACE ARE THE CHERUBIM ON THE TEN COPPER CHARIOT LAVERS IN SOLOMON’S TEMPLE.

IF WE MISS FULFILLING THE TEN COPPER CHARIOT LAVER PICTURE, WE MISS COMING INTO THE FULLNESS OF THE CHERUBIM CLASSIFICATION OF THE ORDER OF MELCHIZEDEK. These Ten Copper Chariot Lavers literally show His Melchizedek Company Cherubs the WAY to coming into His TRUTH for becoming His HOLY PLACE here on earth, as it is in heaven. NOTE: The baseline for His Melchizedek Company of Cherubim is having entered the Kingdom of God (John 3:5), which means a person has to mature beyond merely salvation to the place of sanctification and hopefully keep moving to the place of purification.

In the “BECOMING A LIVING BEING” post (https://sapphirethroneministries.wordpress.com/2019/02/12/becoming-a-living-being/), I mentioned that “after the Fall, ten strands of DNA were disconnected or de-activated eons ago and have remained largely dormant with humans until now. So far scientists have called these ten shadow strands of DNA – junk DNA. This is connected to the Ten Copper Chariot Lavers that were active in Solomon’s Temple that were dismissed and treated like junk as well.

The Ten Copper Chariot Lavers were used to wash the blood from the burnt offerings in Solomon’s Temple. In this Kingdom Day, we as maturing sons of the Living God fulfills His good pleasure to do the perfect will of the Father and our part in connecting His Mature Body to the Mature Head of Yeshua ha Machiach (Jesus Christ). A huge part (pictured in these copper chariot lavers) is offering up ourselves daily as a living sacrifice to burn up our sin nature (flesh), specifically as a burnt offering. The most important principles behind the Burnt Offering are:

• A Burnt Offering is a Voluntary Offering given exclusively to the Lord.

• It is also called The Elevation Offering, because it raised one’s spiritual level.

• A Burnt Offering was considered superior to other offerings, because it was a volunteer sacrifice, and it was offered in its entirety by fire.

• A Burnt Offering is called an “olah” in Hebrew, which means to go up. The Ancient Hebrew Word Picture for the word “olah” tells us that the olah is that which the Shepherd brings forth.

• Yeshua – the Great Shepherd – brought the most perfect sacrifice for sins Himself – the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. Then while we are being sanctified (working out our salvation) and purified, the Great Shepherd will choose what will best crucify our sin nature (flesh).

• If your work is not of this world – the same essence of the fire – it will NOT be burned up, but purified (1 Cor. 3:11-15).

Once the Burnt Offering (sin nature) gets slaughtered, the blood get washed by the water of the word (Eph. 5:26) and the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Spirit (Titus 3:5) in these Ten Copper Chariot Lavers. Crucifixion of one’s sin nature and the washing of that area of one’s life are keys to the transformation of a person’s soul. Look at Matthew 16:24 where Yeshua says to His disciples: “If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross [of the flesh], and follow Me.” Two verses later in Matthew 16:26 it says: “For what does a man profit if he gains the whole world, and loses HIS OWN SOUL? What shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” Please realize that the things of this world that we will not die to are the very things that we are exchanging for the total transformation of our soul to its 12-Strand DNA State that is made in the exact same image as Jesus Christ.

“God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. FOR IN CHRIST JESUS AVAILETH A NEW [LIVING] CREATURE… And those who walk according to this rule [Order of Melchizedek] peace be on them [they will be Kings of Peace]” (Galatians 6:14-16).

The first Biblical Melchizedek Pattern in Genesis 14 shows that Abram had to dethrone the Babylonian Kings before he could receive the ministry of Melchizedek. This same truth is portrayed in the Ten Copper Chariot Lavers being broken down and carried away by the Chaldeans to Babylon, and our need to restore this part of His Chariot Throne in our day. Please note that Chaldea does refer to Babylon, but more specifically, it’s the place where sorcery, sun god worship, and its associated “Land of Merchants” status originated. These are three kings that everyone has to dethrone from their lives in order to receive the full ministry of Melchizedek.

It’s not a coincidence that the total capacity of these Ten Copper Chariot Lavers was 400 baths (40 baths a basin multiplied by 10 chariot lavers) and Babylon dismantling these washing vehicles required for God’s Chariot Throne (His kings and priests) 400 years after Solomon died. Humm… The exact number of baths available for Burnt Offerings in Solomon’s Temple is a key connection to the complete restoration of the Royal Order of Melchizedek here on earth. Not only did each laver contain 10 baths, but we are told each Copper Chariot Laver contained 4-cubits of water. 4-cube is a hypercube, which unlocks the ability for His Melchizedek Company to operate in the ETERNAL NOW – the past, present and future all at once (now).

The Biblical Pattern for the appearance of Melchizedek is first a precious (unique) son volunteers becomes a worshipful burnt offering; then gradually a new dwelling place of God is built. Every 2000 years is a particular karios time for the appearance of Melchizedek. The first time it was Abraham and Isaac as they ascended Mount Moriah. The second time it was Yeshua (Jesus) and the Father on the cross. Now in this Kingdom Day, the precious son to volunteer to become a burnt offering is the New Living Creature (Cherubim) of Crucified Ones who are a wing of God’s End-Time Melchizedek Army flying by the Spirit with one another.

The Mature/Maturing Sons will refuse to come down from the cross until they have completely died to their flesh. Won’t you join the Crucified Ones who will rule and reign with Him?

GOD’S RESTING PLACE – MIRIAM

Recall that Moses and Aaron’s sister Miriam was married to the righteous Caleb. Also, recall that one of Miriam’s names is Ephrath, because Israel became fruitful through her (I Chron. 2:19). The first fruit or firstborn of Ephrathah – Miriam and Caleb – was Hur (I Chron. 2:50). It was this Hur that assisted Aaron in holding up Moses hands to ensure the victory over Amalek (Exo. 17:12).

I first happened upon Miriam being married to Caleb while I was studying Psalms 132. Notice how we hear about God’s resting place in Ephrath: “If I allow sleep to my eyes, slumber to my eyelids; before I find a place for HASHEM [YHVH], resting place for the Strong One of Jacob. Behold! We heard about it in Ephrath, we found it in the forested field. … For HASHEM has chosen Zion; He has desired it, for His habitation. This is His resting place forever and ever, here I will dwell, for I have desired it” (Psalms 132:4-6,13-14 Tanach).

The Ephrasites are a very distinguished family in the Tribe of Judah who have descended from Ephraph, which is another name for Miriam (Sotah 11a). How interesting is that! A family of Judah’s identity is connected to Miriam, not her incredibly brave and righteous husband Caleb. There must be something to this, especially since Micah 6:4 mentions that Miriam was a leader of God’s people along with Moses and Aaron.

When I meditated upon the mysterious message in the phrase “Behold! We heard about it in Ephrath, we found it in the forested field” (Psalms 132:6), I received three gems.

The first gem is Miriam was the great-grandmother of Bezalel who was the chief architect of God’s Dwelling Place in the Wilderness – The Tabernacle. Bezalel personified his name, which means “in the very shadow of God” in Hebrew. The great wisdom that Bezalel possessed was said to be due to his ancestor Miriam (Exodus Rabbah xlviii.6).

Bezalel possessed such great wisdom that it was said that he could combine the Hebrew Living Letters with which heaven and earth were created. In Exodus 31, “HASHEM spoke to Moses, saying: ‘See I have called by the name Bezalel son of Uri, son of Hur, of the Tribe of Judah. I have filled him with a Godly spirit, with wisdom, insight, and knowledge, and with every craft; to weave designs, to work with gold, silver and copper; stone-cutting for setting and wood-carving – to perform every craft’” (Exodus 31:1-5). Wisdom, understanding, and knowledge were the implements that God used to create the world: “HASHEM founded the earth with wisdom; He established the heavens with understanding; through His knowledge, the depths were cleaved, and the heavens dripped dew” (Proverbs 3:19-20 Tanach). By virtue of God’s profound wisdom poured in and through Bezalel, he successfully erected a fit abiding-place for God in spacetime on earth while the Most High God still remained exalted above and in time and space (Ex. R xxxiv.1; Num. R. xii.3).

The second gem is that we hear about God’s Resting Place in Ephrath, because both Bezalel and King David were in Miriam… in her very DNA. King David followed in Bezalel’s footsteps in being an architect for God’s Dwelling Place, by establishing the Tabernacle of David as well as providing the plans and materials for building Solomon’s Temple. Miriam was both Bezalel and King David’s ancestor; thus, “Behold! We heard about it in Ephrath, we found it in the forested field” (Psalms 132:6). The sound of Zion – God’s Resting Place forever – was, and still is, contained with Miriam and Caleb’s DNA where the very materials for rest (i.e., the for-rested field) reside.

The Hebrew Sages speaks of Miriam having illustrious descendants, which is connected to God’s Dwelling Place as her reward for not obeying Pharaoh (Exo. 1:21). Miriam had the chutzpah to tell Pharaoh that he would be punished by God for his cruelty to Israel, and almost lost her life as a consequence.

The third gem focuses on the hearing part: “Behold! We heard about it in Ephrath, we found it in the forested field” (Psalms 132:6). Please recall that the watch word for Israel is the Shema, which can be broken down into three parts: hearing, understanding, and doing. Hearing about God’s resting place in Ephrath is key to establishing God’s dwelling place in you and I. It is actually the first step; therefore, follow Miriam’s and Caleb’s example and “Hear, O Israel: the LORD is our God, the LORD is One. You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength” (Deuteronomy 6:4-5). CALEB’S WIFE – MIRIAM

Did you know that Moses and Aaron’s sister Miriam was married to the righteous Caleb?

“Caleb son of Hezron fathered children by Azubah [his] wife, and by Jerioth. These are her sons: Jesher, Shobab, and Ardon. When Azubah died, Caleb married Ephrath [Miriam, the sister of Moses and Aaron, who was called Ephrath because Israel became fruitful through her], who bore him Hur” (I Chronicles 2:18-19 Tanach).

The Jewish Encyclopedia reveals that Miriam was married to Caleb ben Jephunneh, who was also known as Caleb ben Hezron. One of the reasons that being connected to Hebrew History is so important is one person in the Bible can be given various descriptive names.

For instance, Caleb was also known as Chelubai in First Chronicles 2:9. Caleb’s father was called both Jephunneh and Hezron. And according to the Jewish Encyclopedia: “Miriam is said to have had also the following names: Ephrath, Helah, Naarah, Azubah, Jerioth, Zohar, Zereth, Ethan, and Aharhel (I Chron. 2:18, 4:5-8), which were given to her on special occasions (Ex. R. i. 21). She was married to Caleb b. Jephunneh, or b. Hezron, to whom she bore Hur (I Chron. 2:18-21). Then she fell ill (hence her name “Helah”) and was thereupon left by her husband (hence the name “Azubah”). Subsequently she regained her health, became again like a young woman (hence the name “Naarah”), and was taken back by her husband (Ex. R. l.c.). Miriam was the ancestress of King David, and of Bezaleel, who made the Tabernacle and its vessels. Bezaleel’s wisdom (Exo. 31:3) is said to have been due to his grandmother Miriam (Ex. R. xlviii. 6).”

We will learn more about Miriam tomorrow. For now, let us focus on Miriam’s husband, and understand that we are in another Numbers 13 moment.

Numbers Chapter 13 exposes how the righteous Caleb was one of twelve spies that went into the Promise Land for 40 days. He was part of the arc of the good report. Recall how both Caleb and Joshua believed they could overcome anything with God on their side while the other ten spies came back with an evil report focused on fear and the giants in the land. Caleb interrupted the fearful ones’ public declaration. “Caleb silenced the people toward Moses and said, ‘We shall surely ascend and conquer it, for we can surely do it!’” (Number 13:10 Tanach).

Will we seek and believe God’s good report, or will we be stuck in fear and focused on the so-called giants in the land? Surely, God is greater than it all, and He will help His people to not only survive, but thrive (i.e., overcome)!

SAVIOR OF ISRAEL – MIRIAM

Miriam Watches Over Moses in the Basket – by Natalia Kadish

Miriam was the sister of Moses and Aaron as well as the daughter of Amram and Jochebed (Num. 26:59). She is called “Miriam the prophetess” in Exodus 15:20 where she is seen leading all the women in a triumphant drum and joy dance after the Israelites miraculously crossed the Red Sea.

Perhaps, Miriam was born a prophet; because Hebrew History records that when her father had divorced her mother as the result of a cruel edict in Egypt, which dealt with the exposure of the Israelite children, Miriam had induced her father to take her mother back (Sotah 12a). On the day that her parents Amram and Jochebed got remarried, Miriam sang, danced, and predicted to her father that a son would be born to him who would liberate Israel from the Egyptian bondage. When Moses was born, Miriam’s father kissed her and said, “Your prophecy, my daughter, is fulfilled.”

When Moses had to be cast away due to Pharaoh’s decree to the Hebrew midwives “Every son that will be born – into the River shall you throw him!” (Exodus 1:21), Miriam was severely scolded and reproached with the forlorn heart cry of her parents: What would be the outcome of her prophecy now? This is the background for Miriam seeing how her prophecy would be fulfilled (Exodus Rabbah i.26).

Miriam went to the river to watch her baby brother from a distance, as Pharaoh’s own daughter found Moses among the reeds of the Nile, took pity on him, and drew him up out of the water (Exo. 2:1-7). This is when Miriam become the “Savior of Israel by proposing to the Egyptian princess: “Shall I go and summon for you a wet nurse from the Hebrew women, who will nurse the boy for you?” (Exodus 2:7). The princess assented, and Miriam returned with their mother Jochebed (Exo. 2:8). Miriam was called a Savior of Israel for saving the Savior/Deliverer of God’s people – Moses.
