If a person searches out the concept of “dwelling,” you find an entry called “Shekinah” in the Jewish Encyclopedia. It says that Shekinah is the majestic presence or manifestation of God to “dwell” among men.
The word “shekinah” itself is taken from passages in Scripture that speak of God dwelling either in a Tabernacle, or among God’s people. It is especially said that God dwells in Jerusalem, on Mount Zion, and in the Temple itself. The Temple is called the “House of the Shekinah.” Remember this when you meditate on Scripture: “Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? … Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s” (1 Corinthians 6:9,19-20 NKJV).
It is critical for all of God’s people to understand that Yeshua (Jesus) did not celebrate Christmas. Yeshua celebrated Hanukkah – The Feast of Dedication. “Now it was the Feast of Dedication in Jerusalem, and it was winter. And Jesus walked in the temple, in Solomon’s porch” (John 10:22-23 NKJV). Hanukkah’s history reveals that it celebrates the overthrow of the defilement of Christmas in the hearts of His people and the cleansing of their bodies. Or in other words, it sets the stage so that the Shekinah can rest in His Temple… you and I.
The word “dwell” in the Hebrew text is said to be rendered “let the Shekinah rest.” Take for example: “Have them construct a sanctuary for Me, so that I may dwell among them” (Exodus 25:8).Although the word “Shekinah” is not found in Scripture, its concept clearly is. Most believe that the term “shekinah” was coined as a noun, as a derivation of the Hebrew verb “shakan,” which simply means to take up residence for a long time in a neighborhood. It is a protracted dwelling in the midst of a group of people.
The “Shekinah” Presence was not God, but an ethereal (yet physical) manifestation of His actual Presence among His people. The Shekinah Dwelling Presence appears first at the crossing of the Red Sea where the Pillar of Fire by night and the Pillar of Cloud by day protected the Israelites from the pursuing Egyptians. The nation of Israel was led by the Shekinah for 40 years in the Wilderness. Then, the Holy Presence of the Omniscient God inhabited the Tent of Meeting, Wilderness Tabernacle, Solomon’s Temple, and Messiah Yeshua Himself.

The Feast of Dedication – Hanukkah – is an annual eight-day celebration that celebrates the overthrow of pagan sun god worship in God’s Temple and the rededication of His Altar in Is-real. I am not minimizing this holiday’s application to Israel when I say Is-real, I’m trying to touch-on a specific point for everyone. Hanukkah is about purifying your body and your altar (i.e., heart), so you can be a part of His pure and spotless Bride.
During this celebration, I see those who have overcome overwhelming odds to take a righteous stand against the world-dominating force as “Maccabees.” The name “Maccabees” means hammer, like the instrument used to drive the nails into Yeshua’s hands and feet. I also personally see the Maccabee hammer as a gavel in a judge’s chamber that vibrates at the frequency of freedom.
Even though the eight day miracle of oil is suspect, the menorah (lampstand) itself is from God’s Temple; and since Hanukkah was known as the Feast of Lights in Yeshua’s Day, in my mind and spirit the custom of kindling a Hanukkah menorah passes God’s sniff test. We simply have to remember that the historical miracle it symbolizes is the eight day re-dedication of the Altar and the cleansing of His Temple. We can also celebrate the fact of Yeshua’s miracle of touching us who were born blind from birth about Christmas, but now we see. Having offered this Golden Calf as a burnt offering (which is a symbolic offering to the LORD that is burnt up in its entirety, so there is nothing to go back to), we go to the Pool of Siloam (Sent One) to wash our eyes. Now Hanukkah represents us ascending and descending in order to be sent out as blazing new wine into the world as the light of the world.
The main prophetic reading for Hanukkah is Zechariah 4:6 “Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, says the Lord of hosts.” Instead of publicizing the menorah miracle, we are making known the altar miracle of the re-dedication of our hearts to worshiping the One True God, as He has prescribed in His Word. The Feast of Dedication is all about I AM being lifted up, so He can draw all men unto Himself (John 8:28).
Hanukkah is known as the Feast of Dedication (first and foremost), the Feast of Lights, and the Feast of Miracles. Many people celebrate Yeshua being conceived on Hanukkah, but since God chose to hide this fact, we should take note and simply celebrate the things that are made known to us and celebrate as Yeshua did. The sheep of the Good Shepherd’s pasture know His voice, and they will not celebrate another.
Please remember that Yeshua walks in Solomon’s Colonnade – the place where believers meet – during Hanukkah: “And it was Jerusalem the Feast of Dedication, and it was winter. And Jesus walked in the Temple in Solomon’s Porch” (John 10:22-23 KJV). On this note, I’d like to share the simple way my family celebrates Hanukkah.
The main focus of our Hanukkah celebration centers on lighting the Hanukkah menorah and having a festive meal with family and friends. I have found that every godly thing I loved about Christmas has a place in our Hanukkah celebrations without any stress or strain. The peace on earth sought by all men during Christmas actually resides in Biblical Feasts, including Hanukkah.
MEALS & DECORATIONS
My family takes turns hosting a Hanukkah dinner. We have found it difficult to meet all eight days, so we gather together when we can. Even though we try to cook something special during this time, I remember having mac-n-cheese in remembrance of the Maccabees and our own struggle for freedom. It’s now an annual tradition in our home that my husband makes a prime rib one of the nights.
In an effort to keep things simple, I made Hanukkah meals the focus of my decorating skills. Fine linens, special plates, and napkin holders are the order of the days in our home. I always place our Hanukiah (Hanukkah menorah) in the center of our table. If you don’t have a Hanukiah, tea candles will work.
Personally, I like fresh flowers too. The rest of the dining area is decorated with signs and decorative cutouts I’ve collected. I have also gotten some special simple surprises at times for each place setting, like a piece of chocolate in the shape of the menorah. Plenty of candles are placed throughout the house.
We have given small gifts throughout the years, especially since we laid down Christmas when my son was five-years-old. My son has gotten used to his yearly supply of socks and pajamas with each being given on a separate night. I’ve notice that the gifts are getting much less frequent, and people don’t even seem to mind. Personally, one of my love languages is giving, so I really enjoy giving the perfect gift to someone; but we were also convicted about getting rid of materialism. I try to decorate with the cool colors of blue and purple with some white thrown in. We sometimes hang snowflakes in the front window, and have also hung white lights out side too, but in recent years we have not. Your creative imagination can guide you as you search to honor what was done during the Maccabean years, Yeshua’s years on earth and your own personal story of overcoming.
UNDERSTANDING THE LIGHTING THE CANDLES
When we light the Hanukkah menorah, we “do” a devotion. In the “Blazing New Wine of Hanukkah” booklet, there is one set of devotions for Hanukkah. (It’s free via Kindle Unlimited. My family kindles the Hanukkah lights for that night, and then we read the devotion and discuss it. Some of our best moments are the discussions and breaking bread together. It’s really all about Yeshua and His believers celebrating Him and one another.
When we kindle our Hanukkah menorah each night, we start with one candle on the right outermost edge from the one lighting the candle; and then, we add one candle each night. I don’t believe that we need to be religious about “how to” kindle the Hanukkah lights, the importance is that we light them in honor of Yeshua’s celebration of this holiday and us joining Him in it. My family likes to start from the right to the left, because that is how Hebrews read. I’ve heard of other people who start with all eight candles and decrease it each night. To each their own, but personally, I like my light symbolically increasing during the Feast of Re-dedication of my heart.
You will notice on a Hanukiah that there’s one candle holder that is either higher or set apart. You can simulate this with tea lights too. The set apart candle is called the shamash or servant candle. It’s symbolic of Yeshua not coming to be served but to serve as well as Him being literal The Light of the World that lights the other lights of the world (us):
“Whoever wishes to be first among you shall be the servant of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many” (Mark 10:44-45).
“Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world’” (John 8:12; John 9:5).
On the first night of Hanukkah, after sundown, the shamash candle is lit, which in turn is used to kindle the first candle in the Menorah. The second night, we light the shamash again and use it to light the two right candles. This continues through the eight nights of the Hanukkah. You get the idea.
I hope this helps you to do what Yeshua (Jesus) did – celebrate Hanukkah – the rededication of your heart to the Most High God and the cleansing of your body!

We have had a saying in America: “Don’t take Christ out of Christmas.” For many years, Yeshua was telling me that He was taking Himself out of Christmas. Now, Christ has fully taken Himself out, and Christmas has reverted to its Babylonian root: “’Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird! For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the abundance of her luxury.’ And I heard another voice from heaven saying, Come out of her, My people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues” (Revelation 18:2b-4 NKJV). The truth of the matter is that Christmas is not the only thing that is reverting back to its demonic Babylonian root, but it is literally the Golden Calf that centralizes its sensual worship. Unfortunately, we have recently seen a tragic preview of coming attractions for Christmas with the deaths at the Waukesha Christmas Parade. The affidavit against the Christmas parade killer reveals that Darrell Edward Brooks Jr drove in a zig zag pattern to “hit as many” people as possible, which shows that the Christmas parade massacre was an insane and demonically-induced deliberate attack. We all need to pray for the victims and their families as well as for the salvation of Mr. Brooks. We also need to recognize that two vastly different worlds are colliding – the holy and the profane.
We may have been brainwashed that Christmas is good, not evil. I know that I was before I had an epiphaneous appearance from Yeshua Himself telling me: “The mixture of Christmas grieves My heart. Come out of Babylon and lay down Christmas, for I will have a pure and spotless Bride.” At the time, all I knew was Santa and his reindeers weren’t in the Bible. It was a foreign concept to me that there was mixture in Christmas, because I was steadfast in my belief that “Jesus was the reason for the season” and “Don’t take Christ out of Christmas.” And, I didn’t even have a grid that Christmas had a connection to Babylon. I have been shocked and grieved as I have dived deeper down the rabbit’s hole of Christmas. The first sun god was Nimrod. His death and supposed reincarnation in Tammuz are the fount of Christmas. This means that death is a huge tap root of Christmas, so is sorcery (witchcraft), sensualism, materialism, and perverted worship (child sacrifice is a huge component of this). I shutter to think what God means when He says, “stark contrast” in regard to Hanukkah and Christmas this year. Suffice it to say that love, light, peace, miracles, pure hearted worship, and protection will be found in worshiping the way Yeshua did. Death, destruction, witchcraft, child sacrifice, being limited to your five senses (when eternity has been placed in the heart of all true believers) and lusting after material things will be found in Christmas. I use Yeshua’s own words, as I plead with all the Christmas-keeping believers: “Come out of Babylon and lay down Christmas.” Come out of the dwelling place of demons and every foul spirit, so you won’t receive Babylon’s plagues.
All pagan sun god’s birthdays, including Nimrod and Tammuz, have been celebrated on the ancient Winter Solstice – December 25th. It doesn’t matter that the Catholic Church assimilated the pagan Winter Solstice Festival into the ecclesiastical calendar in AD 379, which caused the institutional church to sanction it. It matters what God says and thinks. A good practice to always stay on track is to “Do What Jesus Did” in all things. Yeshua celebrated Hanukkah. I can hear Yeshua making the Maccabee call: “Whoever is for God, join Me!”

“Awake!” says The Father from The Throne Room of Judgement, as fiery coals from a burning altar fall as hail fire through the starry night sky to the earth below… “Awake children! Your judgement is nigh.”
“Father!” we cry. “We are praying and calling out for evil to STOP! Have mercy…”
Suddenly, there is stillness, and we know He is with us and we are with Him and are in agreement. We hear Psalms 55:22 “Cast thy burden upon the Lord and He shall sustain thee; He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.”
With love lingering in His voice, Father says, “I’ve heard you. My coals of fire are coals of mercy and love. Millions are going to die and be pushing up daisies. There is going to be a “sorting of the souls.” Many will be taken home to love, peace, and joy – new life! But those who curse Me, they have a coal with their name on it – a cup of wrath!
An exquisite crystal goblet appeared before us with orange fiery flames of wine flickered from the middle. The Lord spoke, “Drink!” And as we obeyed and drank the flaming liquid, warmth began to spread throughout our bodies. An internal flame burned within us. “Can you drink of the cup? (Mark 10:38). The fiery flame inside of you is the same temperature and essence of the fire that is coming… the fire of judgement and wrath that is from Me. Drink My fiery wine and you will not be burnt. Those closest to Me are the warmest. You are Ministers of Fire! Ministers of the Flame of God!” (Hebrews 1:7, Daniel 3). There is a remnant that is joined with Me in the flames and walking among the coals. (Isaiah 6). There I have prepared a table for them in the presence of our enemies, as it is written in Psalms 23:5. “I have anointed their heads with oil and their cups overflow with My flames of fire.”
“My Word is sent forth.” So I ask, “What do you see? Are you going to be sad; or do you see as I see, from My perspective and know that My judgements are used to show My Love and Mercy?”
“I AM watching to see that My Word is fulfilled. ” (Jeremiah 1:11, 1:13, 24:3; Amos 7:8, 8:2).
You are with Christ, or not, in each aspect of your life. Or in other words, you are part of the Bride of Christ, or not – being part of the Mystery Babylon. God’s peoples’ safety is always found under the shadow of the Almighty: “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.’ Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. (Psalms 91:1-4 NKJV).
What many people don’t understand is that if we have unrepentant (conscious) sin in our life, it can be a place where curses can alight, and those curses will be related to the sin that we are making excuses for (Prov. 26:2). Unconscious sin (blind spots) is another matter. However, once the Lord brings something up in your life and you push away the nudging of the Holy Spirit to choose your own way, that sin(s) is no longer unconscious. Whether you recognize it, or not, that sin has been become a willful, conscious, and rebellious matter. You, and society in general, may be able to convince yourself that something is godly; but God knows if it truly is, or not. Notice that Psalms 91:4 says “His truth” is the shield that surrounds and protects us. This means we need to be in complete agreement in thoughts, words, and deeds with His Truth, which is synonymous with Him being our dwelling place and we are His.
The prerequisite for no evil or plague coming near you and yours is making the Most High your dwelling place, which means amongst other things, radical obedience to His Spirit and His Word: “Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling” (Psalms 91:9-10 NKJV).
Willful sin creates a huge hole in your spiritual dwelling place that doesn’t make it secure. This can be catastrophic to you and your loved ones in these dark days. If you want to be completely protected with Almighty God fully being your refuge, you will have to examine the things you do according to the plumb line of Scripture. Know that the Dwelling Presence of the Most High God does not reside where there is sin.
One of the most difficult sins to look at and repent of has been pagan celebrations that dominate everybody’s calendar. I have written and talked about this extensively. Christmas comes from Mystery Babylon. Historically speaking, one can track Christmas back to the Golden Calf that Aaron fabricated in the Wilderness right after His people vowed to marry Him as well as being tracked back to the Roman Saturnalia (worship of Saturn-Satan). When Yeshua celebrated Hanukkah, He literally celebrated the overthrow of Christmas defiling God’s Altar. God’s Altar can be equated to a person’s heart. Therefore, when Yeshua celebrated Hanukkah in Jerusalem, He rejoiced at the overthrow of Christmas (i.e., integral piece of Mystery Babylon) in the people’s hearts. Hanukkah history tells of an Antichrist. His name was Antiochus Epiphanes IV. He was the Antichrist who placed a statue of a Greek sun god on God’s Altar in Jerusalem and sacrificed a pig upon it. This Antichrist did this on what would be equivalent to our modern Christmas Day. We should expect that our modern-day Antichrist to use Christmas as a lynchpin to unite his defiled One World Religion too. History reveals that Christmas is strategic to the Antichrist’s Religious Babylonian System. Therefore, when you are examining what you believe according to the plumb line of Scripture, know that Christmas goes in the Mystery Babylon category. Also, know that you cannot be part of His pure and spotless Bride (His Dwelling Place) doing Christmas, Easter, Halloween, or any other pagan (mixed) holiday. The roots of Christmas are in Babylon. Come out of her, so you will be safe and not receive her plagues (Rev. 18).
In this Kingdom Day, the Bride of Christ will worship the Lord His way. Bridal hearts will resonate at the frequency of the Word of God through their righteous acts (Revelation 19:7-8).
If you want you and yours to be as safe as possible in these dark days, you will have to do your part while God does His. There is not much time left to batten down your hatches to be able to best weather these tumultuous end times. We are already being tossed and turned in the storm, and we have barely experience anything yet.
