THE SUBSTANCE OF THE BODY OF CHRIST IN BIBLICAL FEASTS

The question is: “Where does the Messiah say: After I’m gone, continue to celebrate My feasts?” Or “Where am I commanded to celebrate the Feasts of the Lord?”

Just as Yeshua (Jesus) remained silent when He walked among His disciples on earth about the Gentiles joining the people of God in much greater numbers after His final ascension, so is the celebration of Biblical Feasts in this Kingdom Day. The answer we seek is in consulting the Spirit of the Living God and the entirety of what is written in Scripture.

Ironically, the clearest case in the New Testament for celebrating the Lord’s Feasts is presented in the chapter that many Christians have used as their excuse that they can celebrate anything they want, any way they want:

“Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of a holy day, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ” (Colossians 2:16-17 KJV).

Christians have long used Colossians 2:16-17 to rationalize why we should no longer celebrate the Lord’s Feast, but in fact this passage actually proves the opposite. The NASB version tells us: “Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard … to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day — things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ.” The very first point I’d like to emphasize is that YESHUA IS THE SUBSTANCE BEHIND ALL OF THE BIBLICAL FEASTS. His Spring Feasts (articulated in Leviticus 23) speak of His First Coming. His Fall Feasts speak of His Second Coming. The two winter feasts mentioned in God’s Word – Hanukkah and Purim – portray God’s people (the Church) journey to becoming His Bride. When we argue that we can celebrate a holiday (holy day or feast) any way we want, we have tapped into a portion of the truth. The next significant point is: WE ARE NOT TO JUDGE OTHERS ON HOW THEY CELEBRATE A BIBLICAL FESTIVAL, new moon or Sabbath day. Did you catch that? Paul is assuming that God’s people are celebrating all three of these things that mark God’s peoples weeks, months and years according to His Word. BTW – That word “judge” means we are not to criticize, censure, condemn, or punish people on how they celebrate a Biblical festival. (Note: I am leaving out new moons and Sabbaths out for simplicity’s sake).

There are many people currently returning to these Age-Old Foundations, and there is so much hullaballoo about what is the right way to do this and that. Let’s be perfectly clear. IT DOES NOT MATTER HOW YOU CELEBRATE A BIBLICAL FESTIVAL, AS LONG AS YOU ARE ENDEAVORING TO FOLLOW HIS WORD BY HIS SPIRIT, because celebrations are all about worship. “But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers” (John 4:23 NASB).

For example: Some people celebrate the Feast of Unleavened Bread by physically searching every nook and cranny of their house for yeast and throwing it all out. Others take this to mean that the Feast of Unleavened Bread is a time that Yah’s Family searches every nook and cranny of their heart to get rid of all sin. I fall in the later category, but I do not judge those who feel led to do otherwise. In fact, I even believe that each culture can, and will, bring their beautiful unique touches to each Biblical Feast. I have seen a tremendous amount of freedom within the worshipping the Father in spirit and truth context.

Know that there are only three Biblical Feasts that are called feasts forever: Passover, Pentecost and Tabernacles. Zechariah 14:16-17 tells us that in the Millennial Kingdom nations will not receive rain if they don’t come up to Jerusalem to worship the King from year to year, and specifically keep the Feast of Tabernacles. BTW – We have now entered that time frame here on earth.

If we want to walk in the same manner as Yeshua did and resonate at the same frequency as the Word of God Himself, we need to consider if the fullness of the measure of the stature of the Messiah includes celebrating all the feasts that He did (1 John 2:6; Eph 4:13). If not one jot or tittle will pass away, we need to consider why these other feasts are in His Word and whether they are significant to Him. I feel a resounding “Yes!” in my heart, because I want to walk like Yeshua, talk like Yeshua, and be exactly like Yeshua… But I also don’t want to be caught up in an old form or legalism. IN THIS KINGDOM DAY, WE ARE NOT NECESSARILY RETURNING TO THE FORMS OF WORSHIP BUT THE SUBSTANCE.

Recall that Yeshua is the substance of all the Biblical Feasts. Consider this in regard to both His Head and His Body. God’s people will literally embody the marks of time that the Lord Himself has put in place to set His people’s years, months and weeks. We are told that these are “shadows of things to come.” When God created man in His own image, the Hebrew word tzelem is used and is derived from tzel, which means “shadow.” Therefore, one of the interpretations of a “shadow of things to come” is the manifestation of Christ’s Body coming into its fullness as a perfect One New Man in Christ (Ephesians 2:15; Ephesians 4:13).

“Let NO MAN therefore judge you … in respect of a holy day… which are a shadow of things to come; but the BODY IS OF CHRIST” (Colossians 2:16-17 KJV). In NO MAN’S Land, Crucified Ones will rightly judge – open the Door of Life – to His Biblical Feasts, so Christ’s Body can connect to the mature Head who is casting the shadow. We must comprehend that a shadow always resembles its substance. When the Bible says it’s a “shadow of things to come,” it additionally means that we will be answering to the Creator, who is casting the shadow.

So no one is to act as your judge in regard to a festival, what matters is that we celebrate Him with a sincere heart. In the Kingdom of God, we all must respect the right of each individual to be “led by the Spirit.” However, the Lord says, “We have been called unto liberty, only use not this liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.” That brings us to our next significant point: THERE IS NO MIXTURE IN GOD’S APPOINTED TIMES AND FEASTS CELEBRATED IN HIS KINGDOM. The Lord will have us redeem things that have a righteous real to them. For instance, things that He has created like light, sound, colors, etc. But know this: The Lord does not redeem things that are demonic in origin and pagan at their roots. He judges them.

The passage directly after Colossians 2:16-17 speaks to our current situation in the Christian Church in regard to the holidays that we have assimilated which have mixture in them, like Christmas and Easter: “Let NO MAN beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, And not holding the Head, from which all the Body… knit together, increases with the increases of God. Wherefore if you be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are you subject to ordinances… which all are to perish with the using… after the commandments and doctrines of men? Which things have indeed a show of wisdom in will-worship [my note – We choose by our will to worship after the traditions of men] and humility, and neglecting of the Body [my note – not holding fast to the Head and not being knit and joined together in love according to His Word] not in any honor to the satisfying of the flesh.” (Colossians 2:18-23).

Celebrating Biblical Feasts is all about rewards and qualifying to be part of His Pure and Spotless Bride. It is not about salvation, which is solely through faith by grace. In NO MAN’S LAND, Crucified Ones will not allow themselves to be diverted, deceived, or beguiled from receiving their eternal rewards to the satisfaction of the flesh.

I can go line-upon-line speaking for days to show you how Colossians 2:18-23 speaks about the mixture involved in the big yearly worship celebrations of the Christian Church – Christmas and Easter – but I don’t have the time or space here. Frankly, all you need to do is lay down Easter and Christmas on His Altar, and simply ask Him: “Can I receive my eternal reward of being part of Your Pure & Spotless Bride, if I celebrate Christmas and Easter?” Then be quiet and listen; and make sure that you are truly hearing Him, not the idols of your heart.

WALKING & FULFILLING THE GOLDEN STREAM

Walking in the same manner as Yeshua did, will cause us to fulfill the golden stream of the Word of God that flows from His throne (1 John 2:6). When you hear that the Lamb of God’s sacrifice on the cross makes anything to do with the Old Covenant obsolete, think again!

Yeshua did not do away with the sacrifice. He fulfilled it by becoming the sacrifice. There is a huge difference! Something obsolete, abolished or done away with is NOT fulfilled. It is sweep away, because it is of no use anymore. Not once did Yeshua proclaim or act in a manner that abolished the law. In fact, He manifested the very opposite: “Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill” (Matthew 5:17 NASB).

That bring me to the point of this post. There has been a short post circulating: “Jewish festivals, new moons, and Sabbaths have come to an end in Christ. Their relevance only served to prophetically point to the promise of Christ on an annual, monthly, and weekly basis. They carried the promise like a placenta would hold the unborn child, but became obsolete as soon as the child was born. Col 2:16.”

Know that I write this post to merely address its erroneous points, and hopefully bring truth and unity to a difficult subject matter for believers. I will only make a few main points.

First, the dismissing of Biblical Feasts started in Constantine’s day in the fourth century when the emperor and his henchmen derogatorily called Biblical things “Jewish.” I know that many Jews have been faithful throughout the centuries to celebrate the festivals given to them by God in His Word. We honor that, but know that these are Biblical Feasts are for all of God’s people if you believe in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and His Son, Jesus Christ.

Second, the biblical marks of time articulated in Colossians 2:16 point to and are fulfilled in the Messiah. They have not come to an end. Let’s look at a couple translations of Colossians 2:16-17, which is one of the most misquoted scriptures Christians have used to rationalize why they should no longer exclusively celebrate Biblical Feasts, or justify why they celebrate holidays with a Christian-pagan mixture in them:

• “Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of a holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ” (Colossians 2:16-17 KJV).

• “Let no man therefore create a disturbance among you about eating and drinking, or about the division of the feast days, the beginning of the months, and the day of the sabbath. These are shadows of things to come; but the main objective is Christ” (Colossians 2:16-17 Aramaic).

• “Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day – things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ” (Colossians 2:16-17 NASB).

Notice that none of these translations say: “Jewish festivals.” Also, notice that the festivals being referred to are in the eternal Word of God – the Bible – and are called “appointed times” or “holy convocations.” God even goes as far to say: “These are My feasts” in Leviticus 23:2. If you do a word study, the root meaning undergirding all the Biblical Feasts is coming together at a particular time (chosen by God) at a particular place (chosen by God) to be betrothed (married).

If you think Paul would advocate mixture in regard to holydays, you need to crack your Bible open and read the whole counsel of Scripture. Please notice that in the KJV, we are told that holydays (i.e., festivals) are “a shadow of things to come.”

Yeshua (Jesus) is the substance; but we must comprehend that a shadow always resembled its substance. Understand when it comes to holydays, we will be answering to the Creator of all things who is casting the shadow. Believers are not told to not celebrate Biblical Feasts in Colossians 2:16-17, but not to let anyone judge us with regard to them. Meaning we are not to criticize, censure, condemn, or punish people on how these celebrate a biblical feast, new moon celebration, or a Sabbath day. If Christians used the same logic for the Ten Commandments as we have for biblical marks of time, where would the church be? There is an assumption in the statement “Don’t let anyone judge you?” that God’s people are already eating, drinking, and celebrating.

My third main point is the idea that the annual, monthly and weekly celebrations are now obsolete is being promoted by someone who does not know much about Biblical Feasts. If they did, they would know that the fall feasts of the Lord, are rehearsals for His second coming. Is Yeshua’s (Jesus’) second coming obsolete? What about the two winter feasts displayed in Scripture? Are they obsolete too? The two biblical winter feasts in the Word of God (Hanukkah and Purim) portrays the Church becoming the Bride. Once again, I ask you: Is this obsolete?

My fourth main point is the idea of an umbilical cord acting like a tether. There is a “Christian” Holiday that does act like a tether to the three dimensions of space and the fourth dimension of time. That “Christian” holiday is Christmas.

The roots of Christmas Day are in the worship of the False Metatron Messiah Mithra, which connects its adherents to the demonic control of space time. BTW – Our modern-day Christmas Season is made in the same image of Aaron’s Golden Calf. Bottom line. There’s actually a double tether to the demonic control of space time encapsulated in Christmas worship whether the worship be Christian, Buddhist, Wiccan, or Satanic. Almost everyone, but the Jewish people, some atheists and a minority of Christians, celebrate Christmas; and thus, become enmeshed in the demonic control of time and space. Do you?

OVERSHADOWING MESSIANIC LIGHT

The lights of Hanukkah are overshadowing everyone’s Winter One-der-land this year, because the Feast of Dedication (Hanukkah) starts at sundown December 24, 2016 and goes until sundown January 1, 2017.

“Let no man therefore judge you in regard … to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ” (Colossians 2:16-17 NASB).

Even though Biblical Feasts are precious components of His Word, they are only “a mere shadow of what is to come.” Messiah Yeshua is the substance behind all the Biblical Feasts. His Spring Feasts speak of Jesus’ first coming and His Fall Feasts speak of His Second Coming (Leviticua 23). The two winter feasts mentioned in God’s Word – Hanukkah and Purim – portray God’s people’s journey to becoming His Bride. “Just as the Spirit of Living God has seven flows that manifests in nine fruits and gifts, so do the Feasts of the Lord.” This is the one-liner God gave me about the Feasts of the Lord in His Kingdom.

Just as our earth spins around its axis and the sun in a complete circle every year, so have the Biblical Feasts been created for His Bride to “chuwl” (spin), so His people can meet with Him at His designated time at His designated place so His Bride can become married to Him. God’s people will literally embody the marks of time: “Let no man therefore judge you … in respect of a holy day … which are a shadow of things to come; but THE BODY IS OF CHRIST” (Colossians 2:16-17 KJV).

Do you know which aspect of the Lord Himself has put in place the marks of His time? It’s the keeper of time – Metatron – who is the fullness of God bodily. The righteous reality of Metatron is that Metatron is the undifferentiated state of the Messiah, which is made up of the Mature Head of Yeshua and the fully mature members of His Body. When Scriptures says that the marks of time that set His people’s years, months and weeks (festival, new moon, Sabbath) are “shadows of things to come,” know that God created man as His shadow. When God created man in His own divine image, the Hebrew word tzelem is used and is derived from tzel, which means “shadow.”

Therefore, one of the glorious interpretations of a “shadow of things to come” is the Body of Christ maturing and becoming the perfectly pure manifestation of the One New Man in Christ (Messiah) – Metatron. See Ephesians 2:15; 4:13. This is the Messianic Light of Hanukkah overshadowing the Winter One-der-land of the World this year.

DO NOT JUDGE ABOUT HOLYDAYS

“Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of a holyday, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days: which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ” (Colossians 2:16-17 KJV).

One of the most misquoted scriptures is Colossians 2:16-17. Christians have used these verses to rationalize why Christians should no longer exclusively celebrate Biblical Feasts, or justify why they celebrate holidays with a Christian-pagan mixture in them.

First, if you think Paul would advocate mixture in regard to holydays, you need to crack your Bible open and read the whole counsel of Scripture. Second, please notice that we are told that holydays (i.e., festivals) are “a shadow of things to come.” Yeshua (Jesus) is the substance; but we must comprehend that a shadow always resembled its substance. Understand when it comes to holydays, we will be answering to the Creator of all things who is casting the shadow.

Believers are not told to not celebrate Biblical Feasts in Colossians 2:16-17, but not to let anyone judge us with regard to them. Meaning we are not to criticize, censure, condemn, or punish people on how these celebrate a biblical feast, new moon celebration, or a Sabbath day.

If Christians used the same logic for the Ten Commandments as we have for religious festivals, where would the church be? There is an assumption in the statement “Don’t let anyone judge you?” that God’s people are already eating, drinking, and celebrating. It is similar when God states in Matthew 6: “So when you give to the needy” (vs. 2), “when you pray” (vs. 5), and “when you fast” (vs. 16); the Lord is assuming His people are already giving alms, praying and fasting.

The whole nation of Israel is said to be God’s example for us (1 Corinthians 10:4-11). Don’t you think Jesus would have confronted any corrupt thought or practice in Jewish society? Everyone knows Jesus overturned the moneychangers’ tables. Jesus taught against the traditions of men. He also told people that just to look upon a woman in lust was to commit adultery. Have you ever wondered why Jesus never told Jewish believers to cease celebrating the feasts that are/were a shadow of Him?

Don’t you think that if any biblical feast was idolatrous that Jesus would have come out against it, instead of being in the temple participating in the festivities? Jesus was not timid, and He would have come out against the Biblical Feasts, if they were a corrupting influence. Not only did Jesus NOT rebuke the Jews for celebrating His feasts, but He also actually used them as object lessons in teaching His people about the fulfillment in Himself of their biblical traditions.

Biblical Feasts are God’s occasions for celebrating, just as the Ten Commandments are God’s ordained laws. God created us to celebrate Him His glorious ways! Read the gospels. Jesus loved a party! His first miracle was at the wedding feast at Cana where He turned 180 gallons of water into fine wine (John 2:6).

The church has not flushed the Ten Commandments. Why should we throw away His feasts – parties celebrating Him? Don’t you want to come to the feasts that the Lord Himself has invited you to? The spring feasts of the Lord speak of Jesus’ first coming. The fall feasts speak of Jesus’ second coming. Hanukkah and Purim are pictures of His church becoming the Bride of Christ. These Biblical Feasts are audio-visual displays of the prophetic reality of Christ. They can only serve to bring us into a deeper relationship with one another and with Messiah Yeshua.

In 2 Chronicles 8:13, the primitive root for mo-ed (“feasts” in Hebrew) is the Hebrew word ya-ad. Ya-ad is the term used for when Adam intimately knew Eve. This primitive ya-ad root implies that the Lord is summoning His people to meet Him at His stated time, He is directing us into a certain position, and He is engaging us for marriage. My question has been: If we don’t do Your appointed feasts, Love, can we still marry you?

Think about a boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, or wife. Think about them inviting you to celebrate with them; then think about rejecting their offer in order to party with your friends on another day, so you can do anything you want to do any way you want to. That basically what we do when we celebrate Christmas, Easter, and other religious holidays with mixture in them.

Won’t you consider meeting the One who loves your soul at His designated times in His designated places in order to marry Him?

HOLD FAST TO THE HEAD

I so agree with Wendy Christie when she says: “If you want to hold on to idols this coming year, it will not go well with you. God’s mercy will cause a GREAT SEPARATION … There will be a great contrast between those who are IN CHRIST and those who are not. This is so ALL can SEE right where they stand and have a chance to REPENT. Make no mistake about it. This is an act of God’s mercy. My heart grieves; because I have witnessed this past holiday season a great number of people who love God dearly who are either unwilling or unable to look at the mixture involved in celebrating Christmas. I too see and have warned in my “THIS IS CHRISTMAS” series of articles (see below) that people who hold onto idols will be on the short end of the stick when it comes to the contrast between those who are IN CHRIST and those who are not. Yeshua can not, and will not, join Himself to idols, and Christmas is the Granddaddy of them all – literally being made in the exact same image as the Golden Calf that Aaron built (Refer to http://wp.me/p158HG-2m and http://wp.me/p158HG-kH ).

This is a year that everyone will know where they stand in relation to being IN CHRIST. I again use Wendy Christie’s words in this regard: “There will be a great contrast between those who are IN CHRIST and those who are not. This is so ALL can SEE right where they stand and have a chance to REPENT. Make no mistake about it. This is an act of God’s mercy. On one hand you will SEE judgment and on the other justice. On one hand you will SEE chaos and on the other the ORDER of God. On one hand you will SEE condemnation and on the other great blessing.” If there appears to be judgment from the Lord, chaos or condemnation in your life, turn to Him and repent; because it’s His mercy that is showing you the reality of your life’s choices. The shaking will not let up until you turn to Him with your whole heart, soul, mind and strength, because of His great love for you.

“So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ.” (Colossians 2:16-17 NKJV).

It’s ironic that Christian theologians have used Colossians 2:16-17 to justify mixing holy things with the unholy, because within this very chapter it spells out two critical components to dwelling in No Man’s Land. BTW – No Man’s Land is the place where people daily yield to His crucifixion process, which causes one’s Kingdom of Self to disappear so the Kingdom of God can appear within and without:

[1] In No Man’s Land, Crucified Ones will NOT allow themselves to be diverted, deceived, or beguiled from receiving their eternal rewards to the satisfaction of the flesh (Colossians 2:18, 23).

[2] In No Man’s Land, Crucified Ones rightly judge (open the Door of Life) to the Lord’s marks in time, so that Christ’s Body can connect to their mature Head, who is casting the shadow.

We need to look with fresh eyes at whether Colossians 2:16-17 gives Christians a plausible reason to no longer exclusively celebrate the Lord’s Feasts. We are told that the marks of time that the Lord Himself put in place to set His people’s years, months and weeks – festivals, new moons and sabbaths – are but a shadow of things to come and their substance are found in the Messiah. Yeshua is the substance; but we must comprehend that a shadow always resembles its substance. When Scripture says something is a shadow of things to come, it means that we will be answering to the Creator who is casting the shadow.

We don’t have to guess what Yeshua’s substance is. Scripture tells us that His Name is “The Word of God” (Revelation 19:13). The substance of the Lord’s celebrations is found in the Messiah, and it lines up with what’s articulated in His Word. “These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found IN CHRIST” (Colossians 2:17 NIV). Yeshua – the Head – and His Body are suppose to be the substance – the living breathing reality of His festivals, new moons and sabbaths.

There is an assumption in the statement “Don’t let anyone judge you” that the Lord’s people are already eating, drinking and celebrating things His way. It’s similar to when God states in Matthew 6 “when you give to the needy,” “when you pray,” and “when you fast;” the Lord is assuming that His people are already giving, praying and fasting.

Colossians 2:6-12 speaks of how those who walk IN CHRIST dwell in the fullness of Christ bodily. The growth process for His Crucified Ones requires that we not only take up our cross daily, but we also follow the Messiah in all three of His baptisms (Matthew 3:11) , so we can rise with Him having put off the body of sins of the flesh.

Colossians chapter 2 repeated warns us in verses 8, 18, 20-23 that:

• God’s people can be spoilt “after the traditions of man, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ” (Colossians 2:8 KJV). There is no other celebration that is more steeped in the traditions of man and the basic principles of the world than Christmas.

• God’s people can be beguiled through a voluntary submission to another gospel and the worshipping of angels (Colossians 2:18). To be beguiled is to be deceived or hoodwinked, especially by something that appears to be agreeable. It’s something that engages your interest by deceitful cunning, duplicity, and trickery. So you tell me: Are Christians supposed to be ignorant of the fact that Satanists know that Santa is an anagram for Satan, and some of their clubs even use a Santa with a cigar to mark their meeting places? Satan (aka Santa) is the personification of the fallen angel Lucifer (Revelation 12:9) whom even God’s people worship when we voluntarily submit to following the ways of the world and we worship Jesus according to what the world tells us to do to rather that His word.

• God’s people can be deceived by being vainly puffed up by their fleshly mind (Colossians 2:18). How many Christian minds are vainly puffed up by their fleshly mind thinking they know what’s better than what’s been spelled out in Scripture? It’s a question that demands a verdict in this hour, because God’s mercy is going to be showing each one of His people which side of the Christmas divide they are on. Your life will reveal whether you are IN CHRIST or not? If things are a shaking, please turn to Him.

• God’s people are supposed to be dead with Christ from the sensual requirements of the world and satisfaction of their flesh (Colossians 2:20-23). So why do we do submit to what the world tells us to do to celebrate Yeshua (Jesus)? Why do we put up those originally pagan Christmas trees, lights, etc? Why do we choose by our own will to worship after the traditions of man? Christmas feeds our senses and feels oh so good. “This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic” (James 3:15 NKJV). Are we called to enter into the same Spirit of Christmas, but believe that the Christian version is better and sanitized, even though history can trace Christmas’s root to Babylon and 95-96% of the world participates in Christmas? God’s Word says, “No.”

Please be a Berean, and search this out yourself! Get out your Bible and get into your prayer closet. Colossians 2:23 says that the fleshly worship that we voluntarily choose to participate in neglects the Messiah’s Body, because these seemingly innocent things cause His people to NOT hold fast to the Head – Christ. They also cause His Body to NOT be joined and knitted together in love due to His people walking and sowing to their flesh rather than to Spirit of the Living God (Rom 8:1,4-5; Col 2:19,23; Eph 4:15-16).

I heard: “This is your year. All that I’ve placed within you will be made know this year. This is a year to hold fast to the Head — the Messiah (Christ).” Let it be so.

ENTER HIS WINTER ONE-DEAR-LAND GATES WITH THANKSGIVING

At sundown tonight the Feast of Lights begins, with something unprecedented happening this year. Thanksgiving and Chanukah will coincide – an extremely rare event! The LORD is telling me that THERE IS A SPECIAL AND GREAT GRACE GIVEN THIS SEASON FOR GOD’S PEOPLE TO ENTER HIS WINTER ONE-DEAR-LAND GATES WITH THANKSGIVING (Psalm 100:4).

Winter One-der-land is a mystery, which God has held for such a time as this. We shall all be changed. We shall all be gathered together in ONE according to His grace (Eph 1:10). There are several doors by which our oneness will manifest. One of those doors opens at sundown tonight. A Winter One-der-land portal of oneness opens, and we all get to choose whether to enter this Kingdom reality, or not. A gateway of awe has been prepared for this special season of lights, miracles and dedicating our temples to walk as Jesus did. “Then came the Feast of Dedication at Jerusalem. It was winter and Jesus was in the temple area walking in Solomon’s Colonnade” (John 10:22-23). Just as a reminder, we are told in 1 John 2:6 that the one who says he abides in God that person will walk in the same manner as Jesus walked.

Not only did Yeshua (Jesus) walk in Solomon’s Colonnade during the Feast of Dedication declaring His miraculous works are plainly revealed, but Acts 5:12 informs us that all the believers met together at Solomon’s Colonnade. Did you get that? ALL – every single believer – met on the east side of the temple – the location of Solomon’s Colonnade both physically and spiritually. BTW – Chanukah (HanukKah) has three additional names depicting its spiritual realities: the Feast of Dedication, Feast of Lights and the Feast of Miracles.

Several people have told me that they’d like to enter His Winter One-Der-Land Gates with Thanksgiving this year, but they need a little assist. Without going into a lot of background (we will speak of these things as the 8 days of Chanukah progress), we are going to post a daily Chanukah Devotion for those who would like a little help as well as instructions on how to kindle the Chanukah candles.

Chanukah is not one of the seven “feasts of the Lord” specified in Leviticus 23, but one of the two winter feasts mentioned in the Bible. If we operate on the premise that the entire Bible is inspired by God (2 Tim. 3:16-17), we need to contemplate why these feasts are in God’s Word. The seven feasts are audio-visual displays of the prophetic reality of the Messiah’s first and second coming. These winter feasts depict the church’s journey to become His pure and spotless Bride.

Christian scholars have used Colossians 2:16-17 to rationalize why Christians no longer exclusively celebrate the Lord’s Feasts (Lev. 23:2). “Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath Day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.” Yeshua is the substance; but we must comprehend that a shadow always resembles its substance. When the Bible says it’s a shadow of things to come, it means that we will be answering to the Creator who is casting the shadow. BTW – There is no mixture in the Holy One of Israel.

Believers are not told not to celebrate the Lord’s feasts in Col. 2:16-17, but not to let anyone judge us with regard to them. Meaning we are not to criticize, censure, condemn, or punish people on how they celebrate a Biblical Feast. However, there is an assumption in the statement “Don’t let anyone judge you” that God’s people are already eating, drinking, and celebrating these things listed. It is similar to Matthew 6’s “when you pray,” “when you fast,” and “when you give to the needy.”

So with these things in mind, I will briefly share how my Christian family has celebrated Chanukah for the past 15 years. We keep it very simple. It’s mainly a time for coming to the Lord’s Table to connect to Him as well as with family and friends. We make as many special meals as we can with special linens, dishes, etc. Potluck is the order of the day when larger numbers get together. If we don’t have time to do a special meal, it’s just fine to dedicate our mac-n-cheese to Him 😉 The point is to connect to the One who still walks in Solomon’s Colonnade and still performs miracles in that place. We light candles, like our Jewish brethren, because there are some very deep and profound truths behind that as well as facilitating a particular One New Man in the Messiah oneness between Jews and Gentiles. After we light the candles and say a blessing over them, we read a short devotional and share our hearts. Then to top it all off we open small gifts. Our son was 5-years-old when we came out of Babylon and laid down Christmas, to become part of His pure and spotless Bride, so giving gifts is something we do. Do you have to? Definitely not. But with one of my love languages being gift giving, I really like it! That’s about it. Hope you enjoy today’s short, but sweet devotion. The Lord wanted me to recycle HAYAH. Try it! CHANUKAH DEVOTION FOR NIGHT 1:

In Exodus 3:14, we are told. God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” In the original Hebrew, it is commonly translated “I will be who I will be” – HAYAH. “Hayah” can be simplified into a righteous State of Being that resonates at the same frequency in which it was originally created.

“Hayah” is a unique verb. It carries a meaning in the past of what was done. It carries a meaning in the future of what will be done, but a presence tense does not exist for this verb. Instead, it is given that the verb “to be” is just there. It’s who you are, like “I Son” the “am” in “I am Son” is already understood to exist, and it manifests in what a person is actually doing. This is all of our present reality. Let it BE LOVE.
