2016 = 2 + 0 + 1 + 6 = 9. Add the numbers across and it equals 9. Carol Barham shared with me that Galatians 5:22-23 tells us that there are 9 Fruit of the Spirit (one fruit with 9 parts). If perfected, each part is equal in the Spirit. First Corinthians 12 speaks of the 9 Gifts of the Spirit. The number 9 in Hebrew is “TET.” According to Barbie Brethitt’s “Numbers” book 9 also represents: Holy Spirit’s perfect movement, end, conclusion, fullness of blessings, renewal, judgment, evangelist, serpent, tribulation, fruit of the Spirit and womb, completeness, and finality.
Don’t forget about the 9 fruits in the Bridal Garden: “A garden enclosed is My sister, My spouse; a spring shut up, a fountain sealed, your plants are an orchard of pomegranates, with pleasant fruits; camphire, with spikenard, spikenard and saffron; calamus and cinnamon, with trees of frankincense; myrrh and aloes, with all the chief spices” (Songs 4:12-14).
I believe 2016 is all about THE POWER OF CONNECTION… the power of connection to God and one another. Think about how the number “6” in 2016 is the 6th letter of the Hebrew Alphabet – “VAV.” VAV speaks of THE POWER TO CONNECT HEAVEN AND EARTH. The first VAV in Scripture is in the very first verse: “In the beginning God created the heavens and [VAV] the earth.” This first VAV sets precedence. It’s the 6th word and the 22nd letter of the first verse, which alludes to the power to connect all the powers of the 22 Hebrew Living Letters as well as the power to connect heaven and earth.
Since 2016 also adds up to 9, it’s wise to look at the 9th letter of the Hebrew Alphabet too. TET is the 9th letter of the Hebrew Alphabet and speaks of CONCEALED GOOD. Even though the pictograph for TET looks like a snake coiled in a basket, TET is the initial letter for the Hebrew word TOV, which means “good.” I love it that the Hebrew words for “truth” (emet), “brother” (ach), and “garment” (beged) all are equivalent to 9 in their reduced form. This communicates that mature brethren of Christ are literally clothed with truth.
Behold, 2016 is all about the power of connection to God and one another as well as concealed good.
Behold, 2016 is a mystery… an enigma… a paradox… which will reveal both good and evil as all creation witnesses the (Rom 8:19).
