Salvation is far from the wicked, for they do not seek Your statutes. Great are Your tender mercies, O Lord; Revive me according to Your judgments. Many are my persecutors and my enemies, yet I do not turn from Your testimonies. I see the treacherous, and am disgusted, because they do not keep Your word. Consider how I love Your precepts; Revive me, O Lord, according to Your lovingkindness. The entirety of Your word is truth, and every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever” (Psalms 119:153-160 NKJV).

REYSH or RESH (ר) is the twentieth letter of the Hebrew Alef-Bet. It has the numerical value of 200. The Ancient Hebrew Word Picture for REYSH is a head: rosh (רֹאשׁ). It is no coincidence that the living letter REYSH (ר) follows the letter BET (ב‎) in the Hebrew word bera (ברא), which means “he created.” REYSH is one of the letters in the Hebrew Alphabet that initiates, begins, or starts something:

• First: רִאשׁוֹן or רִאשׁוֹנָה
• First of all, firstly, origin, beginning, starting point: רֵאשִׁית

These REYSH (ר) beginnings are connected to cognizant understanding and wisdom. Scripture proclaims: “The beginning of wisdom is the fear of God” (Proverbs 9:10). A person must first be “shaken” by the fear of the Lord to be able to rightly look at a matter to come to a righteous, holy, and true conclusion of that matter. Any physical substance (matter) is simply a reflection of its spiritual essence, which can be purified to become a crystal-clear mirror that reflects the true eternal reality of His goodness. This process of godly clarification is dependent upon the wisdom and fear of the Lord: “You have made all in wisdom (Psalms 104:24). Ascension in Christ is critical in the art of righteous clarification. We all must ascend upward to our ultimate source – the very flame of the love of our Heavenly Father. REYSH is connected to the revelation of God’s thoughts through speech. The Lord shares wisdom with those who seek the Father’s perfect will in spirit and in truth, and worship Him only.

One aspect of creation that our innermost being continually seeks is the ever evolving “Kingdom of the Infinite” within (Luke 17:21, Eccl. 3:11). There are vast mysteries in the kingdoms of the world becoming the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ (Revelation 11:15). We connect to the kingdoms of God through both our heart and mind (our head). REYSH is all about the synapses in our brains being illuminated by His fire “esh” (אֵשׁ).

Mankind has the capacity of perception; because God created our brains to operate according to energy, frequencies, and electricity. Operating in the fullness of the measure of the stature of Christ requires the esh in our brains to be a cognizant fire. It is the divine awareness of those who are one with the mind of Christ: “But as it is written: ‘Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.’ But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For ‘who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?’ But WE HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST” (1 Corinthians 2:9-16 NKJV).

Consider what it means to be one with the superconscious state of mind of the Messiah. When the purified fire of God excites our nervous system, our head becomes fully cognizant of His eternal kingdom realities. This is when we become a living soul – “nephesh chaiah” – which takes us back-to-the-future to the original pattern of pre-fallen mankind: “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a LIVING SOUL” (Genesis 2:7 KJV). This is also when we become a tzaddik – a righteous one – with an awakened, enlightened consciousness that is made in the same image of God (Genesis 1:26). There is a particular blessing upon the heads of the righteous, which is His Spirit – “ruach” – in our head “rosh.” This is to be REYSH AWAKENED.

Even though righteousness is a State of Being according to a person’s oneness with Christ, we are only known as righteous through our actions. “Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. … In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother” (1 John 3:7,10 NKJV). Please allow me to re-iterate. We are deemed as righteous by God Himself by the measure of the Kingdom of God within us that flows out, not by our intentions.

The righteousness within a tzaddik is a living stream of life that flows out to the world around them, else they reveal themselves to be hypocrites. “Let justice run down like water, and righteousness like a mighty stream” (Amos 5:24 NKJV). Hypocrites can be seen by them speaking righteously, but not doing what’s right. “Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God…” (1 Corinthians 15:34 NKJV). Hypocrites also seek to do righteous works without first having a right relationship with God – the Messiah. “The wicked man does deceptive work, but he who sows righteousness will have a sure reward” (Proverbs 11:18 NKJV).

To be REYSH AWAKENED is to look for the place where righteousness dwells:

• “Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells” (2 Peter 3:13 NKJV).

• “Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, ‘Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God’… ‘Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife’ ” (Revelation 21:1-3,9 NKJV).

• “‘Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.’ And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints” (Revelation 19:7-8 NKJV).

DOING WHAT JESUS DID – “I AM THAT I AM” – HANUKKAH NIGHT 1

Welcome to the Gateway of Awe in God’s Winter One-Dear-Land!!!

Wooooo Hooooo!!!!! Tonight, Hanukkah begins! All the feasts that Jesus celebrated follow the Biblical model of a day being counted from sundown to sundown, like in the story of Creation in Genesis 1. “And there was evening and there was morning, one day” (Genesis 1:5 NASB). The Feast of Dedication – Hanukkah – is an eight-day celebration running from sundown December 12 to sundown December 20, 2017. Typically, the Hanukkah Menorah lights are kindled around sundown. Personally, I am not so concerned at being so exact to start at sundown that I miss the pure heart of entering in. You can find kindling of lights instructions, blessings and devotions below, which are listed under “Have a Hearty Hanukkah!!!”

Yeshua (Jesus) did many things during Hanukkah. You can read about it yourself in John 8:12 through John 10:42; because these are the works Yeshua did, and the celebration that He walked in during the Feast of Heart Dedication – Hanukkah.

Yeshua declared, “I am the Light of the World,” twice during the Feast of Dedication. Hanukkah is also called the Feast of Lights, which is what most people focus on. But, did you know that Yeshua declared “I AM” thirteen times during the eight-day Hanukkah Feast? One of the Hanukkah “I AM” statements Yeshua pronounced is: “When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I AM He, and I do nothing on My own initiative, but I speak these things as the Father taught Me” (John 8:28 NASB). Not only did Yeshua prophetically announce during Hanukkah the way He was to die, lifted up on the Cross of Calvary; but Messiah Yeshua broadcasts forevermore that if His people lift Him up, then they will know “I AM that I AM.”

Don’t get me started! I simply love speaking about “I AM that I AM!” In Exodus 3:14, the Bible tells us that God said to Moses “I AM who I AM.” In the original Hebrew, it has several translations, including “I will be who I will be” – “Hayah.” Hayah is a unique verb that carries a meaning of what was done in the past. Hayah also carries a meaning of what will be done in the future, but the present tense for this verb does not exist. Instead, it’s given that the verb “to be” (hayah) is just there. Hayah in the present tense is who you are and what you are manifesting at the present moment. It’s like saying “I Robin” where the “am” in “I am Robin” is already understood to exist, and it manifests in what a person is literally doing. It is all of our present realities.

The redemptive state of “hayah” can be simplified to a righteous State of Being that resonates at the same frequency in which it was originally created. Know that the Hebraic root to the concept of righteousness communicates “to be” (i.e., a righteous State of Being).

When the righteous “hayah” manifestation is coupled with the testimony of the spirit, water and blood in a person’s earth according to 1 John 5:8, it puts an exclamation point to a simple kingdom truth: “Little children, let no one deceive you. HE WHO PRACTICES RIGHTEOUSNESS IS RIGHTEOUS, JUST AS HE IS RIGHTEOUS” (1 John 3:7 NKJV). How can we say that what we do doesn’t matter? “Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right” (Proverbs 20:11 KJV). Yes. Righteousness is a state of being; but don’t forget that our actions will line up with our words when we practice righteousness. Everyone knows that people who don’t do what they say are hypocrites. “Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying: ‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth, and honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men” (Matthew 15:7-9 NKJV).

Remember that the Father’s Gateway of Awe is His portal of entry into Hanukkah for His people. Never forget that YHVH’s manifestation of perfection is love. The holy, reverential fear of the Lord flows from His perfect love. Therefore, His perfection is not perfectionism. Our loving and gracious Heavenly Father is not after yucky legalistic perfectionism, so let’s embrace His great grace, as we journey unto the perfection of being made into the image of the Messiah.

All of God’s people need to be able to rightly assess how our actions line up with our words. Then, we need to evaluate how our words line up with the plumb line of righteousness Himself – the Word of God – Messiah Yeshua. When the three witnesses in our earth (spirit water, blood) are united and perfectly one with the three that are one in heaven, the righteous I AM (Hayah) becomes manifest.

“Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? This is He who came by water and blood – Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth. For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness on earth: the spirit, the water and the blood; and these three agree as one” (1 John 5:5-8 NKJV). 

Behold, I AM who I AM!!!

WILL YOU GO TO HELL FOR CELEBRATING HALLOWEEN?

I have seen confusion in the Christian camp due to connecting everything in this world to how it affects a person’s salvation. According to the Word of God, salvation is given to anyone who believes that Yeshua (Jesus) is their Lord and Savior through His dying for their sins on the Cross, and that Father God rose Him from the dead. This gift of salvation is purely given by the grace of God, which we simply receive by faith:

• “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:9-10 NKJV).

• “For by grace you have been saved through faith, that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. … But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ” (Ephesians 2:8-10,13 NKJV).

Once you receive the gift of salvation, I personally believe it’s secure, if you truly believe. I also believe that a person can walk away from our relationship with God, just like we can walk away from any relationship. Woe to anyone who throws it away. Yet, where sin increases, grace increases all the more.

We all struggle and make mistakes. Have you ever read Hebrews 10? Consider: “For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of Go underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of Grace?” (Hebrews 10:26-29 NKJV). If that doesn’t make you feel the reverential fear of the Lord, I’m not sure what will. The main point in my mind is that we should never willfully sin. That being said. I have done that very thing, and the Lord my God mercifully and persistently met me in my place of captivity. It was His goodness and kindness that led me to repentance (Romans 2:4).

God is so so so good. Beyond what we can think or image. That does not mean that He winks at sin – unintentional or willful sin. The world that God has set up has built-in consequences for everything we do – good or bad. It is reflected in the Newton’s third law: For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Or in farmer’s terms, we reap what we sow.

After a person accepts the gift of salvation, they enter the sanctification stage of their lives where we must each work out our own salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12). Sanctification is the painfully beautiful process of maturing into the same image as Messiah Yeshua (Jesus Christ). This is where mixture is sifted out of a person’s life. After accepting the gift of salvation, 1 John 1:8-9 says “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sin, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Confession and repentance are huge sanctification keys. “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent” (Revelation 3:19 NKJV).

No one is going to hell for putting on Halloween costumes, or for Halloween candy, or for unforgiveness, or for anger, or for pride, etc, if you are saved by grace through faith. BUT you will reap what you sow… until you confess your sin and truly repent, which means completely turn away from any way that is wicked in God’s eyes.

Beyond the sanctification step in one’s life is the purification step where we “as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct (i.e. actions), because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.” (1 Peter 1:14-16). God’s people laying down dark holidays, like Halloween and Christmas, is not about salvation. It’s about a person’s eternal rewards… “And behold, I come quickly; and My reward is with Me, to give to every man according as his work shall be” (Revelation 22:12).

If one studies the concept of righteousness, it’s root tells us that righteousness is a State of Being (condition of the heart and mind). It’s not about works, but the works that you and I do reveal who we truly are (our State of Being). What do we call people who do not do what they say or believe? Hypocrites. People who honor God with their lips, but their hearts are far from Him (as clearly evidenced by the things a person says and does). “He answered and said to them, ‘Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: “This people honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me” (Mark 7:6 NKJV).

So… Can you celebrate Halloween and still be a Christian? Yes, but there will be consequences accordingly. You may not want to be so flippant when it comes to worship. Any feast is always about worship. You and your family may be reaping demonic type of things. I urge you to take your feast/worship/celebrations to Him. Lay them on His Altar by completely dying to what you think about them, and ask God what He thinks. When you do this, remember that God is so so so good. He created fun and celebrations. He has even set up nine Biblical Feasts in His Word where He is calling His people to a particular place at a specific time in order to marry (become one) with His people.

THE MIGHTY SONS OF HIS RIGHT HAND

Ruins?! Restoring what ancient ruins? Why… The Tabernacle of David, which is the House of Melchizedek of course! Behold, the Corporate One New Man in the Messiah (Christ) are His mighty sons in the midst of His throne at the right hand of the Majesty.

“After this I will return and will rebuild the Tabernacle of David, which are fallen down; I will rebuild its ruins, and I will set it up; so that the rest of mankind may seek YHVH, even all the Gentiles who are called by My name, says the YHVH who does all these things.” (Acts 15:16-17 NKJV).

The Melchizedek Section of the Dead Sea Scrolls (11Q13) refer to these mighty sons of His right hand as the righteous sons of light or the congregation of the sons of righteousness. We are told that they are anointed of the spirit. They will proclaim jubilee to the captives, and they will establish His righteous kingdom by taking their place in the council of God. Stick with me, because it Scripturally bears out that the author of “The Coming of Melchizedek” section of the Dead Sea Scrolls declares this agent of salvation to be the mysterious figure of Melchizedek of Genesis 14 and Psalm 110 fame who proclaims universal liberty:

“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn, to console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.” And they shall rebuild the old ruins, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the ruined cities, the desolations of many generations” (Isaiah 61:1-4 NKJV).

Recall from our last MELCHIZEDEK ARISING post that the sons of righteous function as prophets, priests, and kings in the Order of Melchizedek. These are the ones who are strong, know their God, and carry out great exploits of the greater works in this Kingdom Day (Daniel 11:32; John 14:12).

Keep in the forefront of your mind that Melchizedek is the King of Righteousness. Romans chapter 1 speaks of the righteousness of Yah that is revealed from faith to faith in the gospel of the Messiah. Without going into a lengthy explanation please note the steps of the faith that Abraham walked in (Romans 4:12) are laid out in Second Peter 1:5-9; and notice that James tells us that Abraham’s faith was working together with his works so that by works his faith was made perfect.

The Mighty Men/Woman of Valor of the Tabernacle of David also show the fullness of their faith through the works they do that they first see their Heavenly Father doing (John 5:19; James 2:17-18). It was in Abraham’s completed faith where Scripture was fulfilled: “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness” (James 2:23).

If we dig into the Hebraic root on what it means to be righteous, we discover that RIGHTEOUSNESS IS A STATE OF BEING WHERE OUR FAITH LINES UP WITH WHAT WE DO. This reality for Manifested Sons is portrayed by David’s Mighty Men, and is the next Scripture that contains ‘arak ORDER – First Chronicles 12. ‘Arak is found four times in this chapter (1 Chronicles 12: 8,33,35,36), which points to creation and the Messenger of the New Living Creature who is the Corporate One New Man in the Messiah.

If we solely look at the Mighty Men of David from the Tribe of Benjamin who were ambidextrous marksmen hitting the bull’s eye of righteousness by doing the Father’s perfect eternal will here on earth as it is in heaven, we see a picture of a great company of people who follow the Patterned Son where Abba is revealed by the works that they do (1 Chronicles 12:1-7):

* “But I have a greater witness than John’s; for THE WORK WHICH THE FATHER HAS GIVEN ME TO FINISH — THE VERY WORKS THAT I DO — BEAR WITNESS OF ME, THAT THE FATHER HAS SENT ME” (John 5:36 NKJV).

* “Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. THE WORKS THAT I DO IN MY FATHER’S NAME, THEY BEAR WITNESS OF ME” (John 10:25 NKJV).

* “Most assuredly, I say to you, HE WHO BELIEVES IN ME, THE WORKS THAT I DO HE WILL DO ALSO; AND GREATER WORKS than these he will do, because I go to My Father” (John 14:12 NKJV).

I am going to let the names of the Mighty Men of Valor from the Tribe of Benjamin speak for themselves, because every time these strong sons of His right hand went into battle, their names proclaimed their essence:

[1] AHIEZER (Achiyezer) was the brother of help who was chief among the ambidextrous Mighty Men of David. The Ancient Hebrew Word Picture for his name speaks: “Behold, the Father’s piercing work that reveals the highest and most important work to be seen, understood, and experienced.”

[2] JOASH (Yowash) was second to the chief and his name declares: “The consuming eternal fiery work of the One who sits on the throne that’s portrayed in the face of the ox (Father) and the face of the lion (El Shaddai – the Almighty).”

[3] JEZIEL (Yezarel): “A sprinkling of Yah making secure the piercing work of both the Father and the Shepherd, which propels one forward.”

[4] PELET (Palat): “The Shepherd’s staff speaks to open a way of deliverance from the snake that surrounds.

[5] BERACHAH (Berkah)” “Behold, the blessing of the Head opening Hs Body to the Kingdom to show His people what is highest and most important inside.”

[6] JEHU (Yehuw): “Behold, the work of the Father that opens the window of revelation over one’s head and reveals how He joins all things together.”

[7] ISMAIAH (Yishmayah): “Behold, El Shaddai reveals the mighty and massive work to be seen, understood, and experienced that shows what can be consumed and what comes down from the Almighty (All-Sufficient One).”

[8] JEREMIAH (Yirmeyah): “Behold, the most vehement person who rises and does the highest and most important work that mightily comes down from on high.”

[9] JAHAZIEH (Yachaziyel): “Behold, the piercing work of the Shepherd who reveals Abba’s strength and love.”

[10] JOHANAN (Yochanon): “Priests of the Most High have an open window over their heads (heavenly) so they can rightly divide (pierce) the works that joins and secures to life and action.

[11] JOSABAD (Yowzabad): “Piercing to discern the way of life for the household and making His family secure by doing the works of the Door of Life.”

[12] ELUZAI (Eluwzay): “The work of the Shepherd is to pierce to the joining together, so the Father’s deeds are seen, understood, and experienced that urge people forward.”

[13] JERIMOTH (Yerimowth): “Behold, a person who ascends and does the double-portion work that shows what’s the highest and most important as well as revealing what comes from being joined to the nailed hands on high.”

[14] BEALIAH (Bealyah): “Behold, the works of His Body where the Shepherd urges them forward by His rod and staff, and where His family is clearly revealed and understood through the deeds they do.”

[15] SHEMARIAH (Shemaryah): “Behold, the highest and most important work of a mighty man of valor that comes from the All-Consuming Fore (El Shaddai).”

[16] SHEPHATIAH (Shephatyah): “Behold, this is the work that surrounds El Shaddai that opens things to the All-Consuming Fire.”

[17] ELKANAH (Elqanah): “Behold, the Father and the Shepherd together reveal what actions are unto the least of these that propels people forward and reveals what if final.”

[18] JESIAH (Yishshiyah): “Behold, El Shaddai reveals His fiery double-portion works.”

[19] AZAREEL (Azarel): “What is first and most important to the Father is seen, understood, and experienced in the piercing of the Shepherd and urges us forward in His strength.”

[20] JOEZER (Yowezer): “The most important piercing work can be clearly seen, understood, and experienced that makes a person secure in what’s highest.”

[21] JASHOBEAM (Yashobam): “El Shaddai’s family is seen, understood, and experienced through their mighty and massive deeds done.”

[22] JOELAH (Yowelah): “Behold, the secured work of the Shepherd that shows what is first where our Heavenly Father is seen, understood, and experienced.”

[23] ZEBADAIH (Zebabyah): “Behold, the pierced work that reveals the Door to the way of life for His Body.”

Twenty-one out of these 23 names contain the tenth letter of the Hebrew Alphabet yood (‘), which is a pictograph of a closed hand and communicates: to work or a deed done. The great exploits of the sons of His right hand – you and me – will reveal that the Father has sent us, and they will bear witness that we truly are sons, kings and priests of our Father which is in heaven.

Works never ever precedes faith, but please do not throw out the works that flow out of a life of faith that the Father gives to His Mighty Men (and Woman) of Valor to finish:

“If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him” (1 John 2:29 NKJV).

“Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous” (1 John 3:7 NKJV).

Kingdom Key for Melchizedek’s Appearing – Part 3.1 –Righteousness

Righteousness and justice are the foundation as well as the habitation of God’s throne; therefore, any establishment of God’s Government (i.e. His Kingdom) on earth will include these two elements. I’ve been hearing people quote Matthew 6:33 quite a bit lately: “But seek first the kingdom of God … and all these things shall be added to you,” except many times there’s something missing. The verse tells us to seek first the Kingdom of God AND His righteousness. Of all the things that could have been conjoined with seeking first God’s Kingdom, it is vital to understand that righteousness was chosen.

Let’s explore this essential element of the Kingdom of God that will remain (cannot be shaken). Please note that when one studies RIGHTEOUSNESS, it appears to be a mystery so vast and deep that it seems to go on forever. Due to “righteousness” being connected to the Eternal One and His throne, I bet it does.

Heads up! We are going to camp here for a while to receive some basic (often missing) ingredients for what it means to be called of God after the Order of Melchizedek – the King of Righteousness. Not only is righteousness a kingdom key for Melchizedek’s appearing, but wise virgins are being clothed in the bridal garment of righteousness as well.

Righteousness is about faith motivating us to do the right thing. It is not about activity, but a State of Being. Yet without the evidence of the deeds done out of the overflow of our purified hearts, righteousness does not exist. “Even a child is known by his deeds, whether what he does is pure and right” (Proverbs 20:11 NKJV). Romans 6 shows us that our loving, spirit-led obedience leads to righteousness, which leads to holiness.

One can think of the progressive steps of faith required to attain righteousness as: [1] faith in God [2] faith through God [3] faith of God. Faith in God or faith towards God is simply an elementary teaching of the Messiah. Devout hearts are called to move unto perfection (maturity). Please consider that it’s the “Word of Righteousness” spoken of in Hebrews 5:13 that reveals the way of “moving unto perfection” (Hebrews 6:1).

The Word of Faith is merely the initial door that we go through for salvation, which enables us to see God’s Kingdom: “He saved us not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior” (Titus 3:5 NASB). Scripturally, it speaks of two more gateways that will not only allow believers to enter His Kingdom, but inherit it as well.

The reason that we know that righteousness is a State of Being is because the primitive root for the Hebrew word for righteousness ”tsadaq” literally means TO BE. Tomorrow, we will see how righteousness is even part of the protoplasm of the universe that aligns with life. For now, put a marker in your thinking cap to note that RIGHTEOUSNESS is NOT about salvation. It’s about maturity, eternal rewards and the essence of life.

“RIGHTEOUSNESS”

BECOMING A MATURE SON THROUGH THE BAPTISM OF FIRE

Two chief characteristics of a son of God according to the Word of God is that they serve God with a whole heart (1 Chronicles 28:9) as well as keeping God’s commandments (Proverbs 7:1-2: 1 John 2:3-6; Revelation 14:12). We are not talking about something yucky and legalistic, but a State of Being that resonates at the same frequency as the Word of God – Jesus. Please be encouraged, because this is a divine work of sanctification that’s done not by your might or your power, but by His Spirit (Zechariah 4:6). All that God requires from you and me is that we put our best foot forward in obeying His Word and surrendering to His Spirit. Thankfully, the Lord our God will give us all the grace that we need (2 Corinthians 9:8; Hebrews 4:16).

“For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus” (Philippians 1:6 NASB).

Even though the son’s portion came in the Fullness of Time when Jesus came to earth and purchased it on the cross (Galatians 4:4-6), we must experientially appropriate the redemptive gift of sonship the same way that it was acquired. Our journey of “moving unto perfection” is a crucifixion process (much more will be shared in another article). Dying daily is the only way we actually develop into mature, full-grown sons of God (Matthew 10:37-39, 16:24; Mark 8:34, 10:21; Luke 9:23, 14:27). The wisdom of God insists upon our permission to crucify our sin nature, and He will only complete the work of co-crucifixion with Christ with our approval. Volunteering freely in the day of God’s power is a continual daily sanctioning of “not my will, but Yours be done” (Matthew 6:10). Paul shows us the culmination of being an Adult Son is living a crucified life:

“I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me” (Galatians 2:20 NASB).

When Jesus walked the earth, He was Jewish and His understanding of the Baptism of Fire, which He experienced at His crucifixion, came from the picture of Burnt Offering in the first five books of the Bible. It would behoove us Christians to start with the same foundation. They were the instructions of Moses on the priests, the altars, and the sacrificial system, which (by the way) is accurate according to the Messiah’s instructions:

“For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?” (John 5:46-47 NASB)

In fact, the only reason that we can have confidence that Yeshua’s sacrifice on the cross was sufficient to pay the penalty for all sin (once and for all) relies on Moses’s instructions on the priests, the altars, and the sacrificial system. When Christians throw out these instructions and the first five books of the Bible in His eternal Word, we throw out the very basis that we can rely on Jesus’s shed blood on the cross washes away all of our sin.
