One of my favorite ASCENSION verses is in Psalm 24:
“Who may ASCEND into the hill of the LORD? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive blessing from the LORD, And righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him, Who seek Your face. Selah” (Psalm 24:3-6 NKJV).
Don’t forget that we are told that we have been quickened together with Christ for by grace through faith we have been saved in Ephesians chapter 2 where it also points out that God has “raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:6). Being seated in heaven places in Messiah Yeshua is our ascended state. This is a corporate condition. Notice the word “together.”
Group Ascension is available to all who have been saved by grace through faith. It’s easy. The first gift of salvation is spiritual sight. See John 3:3. Ascension is easy, but it is also holy. Please never approach ASCENSION casually. Psalm 24 gives some guidelines to people who ascend the hill of the LORD. Let’s just call these Ascension Prerequisites, which are as follows:
[1] Clean hands
[2] Pure heart
[3] Not lifting up one’s soul to an idol
[4] Not swearing deceitfully (lying)
We would do well to heed King David’s advice. There are actually consequences to not approaching ascension correctly (i.e. through grace, love, and holiness). Please embrace His great grace! Please also embrace the promise “we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is, and every man that has this hope in Him purifies himself, even as He is pure” (1 John 3:2-3).
David is only one of three to be specifically named and directly connected to the Order of Melchizedek in Scripture. Please take note – Melchizedek David operated in the Tabernacle of David, which is the only House of God we are told that will be rebuilt. David knows what he is talking about.
