To the pilgrims in this wild and wonderful world, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied (1 Peter 1:1-2).
Always remember that you have a choice to go through any open door. You have the choice to go with the crowd, or to swim upstream against the flow. You have the choice to change for the better. You have the choice to be clothed in His righteousness.
Take off your old worn out and no longer functional garments and put on the new! Don’t you know that physical growth is a function of time. Mental growth is a function of learning. Spiritual growth is a function of obedience to the One who was and who is and who is to come:
”Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne, and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen. ‘I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,’ says the Lord, ‘who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty’” (Revelation 1:4-8 NKJV).
Scripture reveals that a person’s obedience leads to righteousness (alignment with His righteousness) for holiness’ sake: “What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not! Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of OBEDIENCE LEADING TO RIGHTEOUSNESS? God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves of uncleanness, and of lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves of righteousness for holiness” (Romans 6:15-19 NKJV).
“If you choose to love sin, it will become your master, and it will own you and reward you with death. But if you choose to love and obey God, he will lead you into perfect righteousness… now surrender yourselves as servants of righteousness, which brings you deeper into true holiness.” (Romans 6:16,19 TPT).
Never ever forget that His generous and awesome grace has a purpose, and that purpose is obedience that brings honor to the Name above all names as well as empowering one’s own faith: “Through Him grace cascaded into us, empowering us with the gift of apostleship, so that we can win people from every nation into the obedience that comes from faith, to bring honor to His name” (Romans 1:5 TPT).
Obedience is love in action, and faith works by love: “For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God” (Ephesians 3:14-19 NKJV).
