The Eternal Order of Melchizedek is made up of kings and priests who reign on the earth (Revelation 5:10). When we focus on His royal holy priesthood, we have to keep in mind that the Kingdom of God is within you (Luke 17:21) and “your body is the Temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you” (1 Corinthians 6:19). There’s an Ascension in Christ reality to the priestly office requirements that are necessary before His Tabernacle is raised. In fact, just like Yeshua (Jesus) has taken His seat at the right hand of the Throne of the Majesty in the heavens (Hebrews 8:1), so have we “in Christ”: “raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:6 NKJV).
Kings and priests are made after the high priest of the Order of Melchizedek – Jesus Christ – and minister in the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, not man (Hebrews 8:2). This true tabernacle is a heavenly reality where “Behold, the Tabernacle of God is with men, He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God” (Revelation 21:3 KJV).
Before this True Tabernacle of God can be raised up (which is within you), the priests of the Most High God must do three things. According to Exodus 40, they must be washed with water, put on holy garments and be anointed with myrrh oil; then (and only then) is the Tabernacle of God raised up. All three of these requirements to minister to the Lord in the everlasting priesthood office have a heavenly reality to them. Ask for their ascended reality to manifest in your life. Never forget that kings and priests of the Order of Melchizedek bring heaven to earth; therefore, we must be not only heavenly minded, but we must also have a heavenly base from which we operate.
