The Enoch Tradition underlies the entire New Testament, as it was originally written and interpreted. If we fail to recognize the influence of Enoch, we distort our Christian origins and the original beliefs of the Kingdom communicated in Scripture.
The Third Book of Enoch continually reveals Enoch being enthroned in heaven as the Prince of the Presence, the angel Metatron. In the third chapter of 3 Enoch, Rabbi Ishmael asks Metatron, “What is your name?” Cherubic Enoch answers, “I have seventy names, corresponding to the seventy languages of the world, and all of them are based on the name Metatron, angel of the Presence. However, my King calls me ‘Youth.’”
It is very significant that the King calls the transfigured angelic/cherubic form of Enoch “Youth” or na’ar (3 Enoch 3). Na’ar originally meant “The Servant.” The original temple portrayed “the Servant” as the Heavenly High Priest. Therefore, the Servants of the Lord are high priests of the Most High God who entered the Holy of Holies and learned the secrets of the Kingdom. This heavenly and holy knowledge given to the Heavenly High Priests enabled them to renew and maintain the eternal covenant of creation.
Never forget that our Pattern Son – Yeshua – was declared to be The Servant:
• “Behold! My Servant whom I have chosen, My Beloved in whom My soul is well pleased! I will put My Spirit upon Him, And He will declare justice to the Gentiles” (Matthew 12:18 NKJV).
• “But Jesus called them to Himself and said, ‘You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those who are great exercise authority over them. Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave – just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many” (Matthew 20:25-28 NKJV).
May His disciples love all, serve all.
