THE LAMB & HIS BRIDE IN THE MIDST OF GOD’S KINGDOM

Artist Unknown

What does it mean to be in the midst of God’s Kingdom?

IN THE MIDST of God’s Kingdom is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. “The next day John sees Jesus coming unto him, and says, Behold the Lamb of God, which takes away the sin of the world” (John 1:29). “Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst” (John 19:18).

IN THE MIDST of God’s Kingdom is the Lamb on the throne who is the Great Shepherd of our souls. “For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd, and will guide them to springs of the water of life” (Revelation 7:17).

IN THE MIDST of God’s Kingdom is the wife of the Lamb, His Bride. “Come, I shall show you the Bride, the wife of the Lamb” (Revelation 21:9b).

IN THE MIDST of God’s Kingdom is the Bride of the Messiah who is the Dwelling Place of God. His Bride is His Temple that is made up of living, breathing stones, which are being built up into a spiritual house (1 Peter 2:5). “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the Tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God” (Revelation 21:1-3).

IN THE MIDST of God’s Kingdom is the Lamb and His Bride. “The marriage of the Lamb has come and His Bride has made herself ready. And it was given her to cloth herself in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen, is the righteous acts of the saints” (Revelation 19:7-8).

IN THE MIDST of God’s Kingdom is a Bride who is spoken of as the holy city called the New Jerusalem. “And I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband” (Revelation 21:2).

IN THE MIDST of God’s Kingdom is the New Jerusalem. “The New Jerusalem has great high walls with twelve angels guarding the gates. On each of the twelve gates is one of the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel. And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; each on of the gates was a single pearl” (Revelation 21:22a).

So, in the midst of God’s Kingdom is a throne where there is a Righteous King and His Righteous Queen (i.e., the Bride of Christ) where they rule and reign “in Christ” through love. The Messiah’s Bride is His cozy and comfy Dwelling Place where the Messiah feels at home. She is one of His most highly valued possession. That the commitment to being married to the King of Kings is not to be taken lightly is almost an understatement. The Messiah’s True Queen of Heaven most excellently represent the King, because it is clearly seen and understood that She is gloriously one with Him through holy matrimony. They are ooooooooonnnnnnneeeeee…

May you press into the Kingdom of God in your midst! May you press into your Beautiful Beloved Author, Creator, Lord, Savior and Friend!

Give em heaven!!!

CELEBRATION OF WATER POURING – FEAST OF TABERNACLES

Water pouring pattery

The Hebrews have been told: “He who has not seen the rejoicing at the place of the water-drawing has never seen rejoicing in his life.”

Did you know that Yeshua (Jesus) declared John 7:37-38 on the seventh day of the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) during the water pouring ceremony? “In the last day of the, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto Me, and drink. He that believes on Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water” (John 7:37-38).

The water pouring became a focus of the joy that the Torah commands for Sukkot. On no other festival were the people literally commanded to be joyful, and as a result Sukkot became known as “the season of our joy,” just as Passover is “the season of our freedom.

The water pouring ceremony at the Feast of Tabernacles was the only water poured out onto God’s altar. This water was literally called “Yeshua” – the waters of salvation. Jesus proclaimed “If anyone drinks of Me” in God’s Temple, which demonstrated that He was (and still is) these waters of salvation. When Yeshua did this, He literally spoke the greatest teaching of Moses. To get to heaven, you must go through these waters to get there. This was the very place where Peter preached on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2). It was also the place where the Rabbis used to teach of the coming Messiah.

When the Temple of God stood in Jerusalem, the water pouring ceremony was performed every day of the Feast of Tabernacles. The priests of the Most High God were divided into three divisions during this daily special ceremony for Sukkot. One division for the Altar, one for the willows, and one for the waters.

The first division was the priests on duty for that festival. They would slay the sacrifices found in Numbers 29. Prior to the first group’s ascension of the Altar, a second group of priests went out the Eastern Gate of the Temple and went to the Motzah Valley (where the ashes of the red heifer were dumped at the beginning of the Sabbath). There they would cut willows. The willows had to be 25 feet in length. After this, they would form a line with all the priests holding a willow. About 25 or 30 feet behind this row of priests, allowing room for the willows, would be another row of priests with willows. So, there would be row after row of the willows.

The whole road back to the temple … was lined with pilgrims as they went to Jerusalem to celebrate the festival as they were commanded by God to do. Sukkot (Tabernacles), along with Shavuot (Pentecost) and Pesach (Passover), were known as the pilgrimage festivals (Deuteronomy 16:16).

There would be a signal and the priests would step out with their left foot, and then step to the right [cadence], swinging the willows back and forth. Meanwhile a third group of priests, headed by the High Priest, went out the gate known as the Water Gate. They had gone to the pool known as “Siloam” (John 9:7, 11), which means “gently flowing waters.” There the High Priest had a golden vase and drew the water known as the living water and held it in the vase. His assistant held a silver vase containing wine. Just as the priests in the valley of Motzah began to march toward Jerusalem, the willows made a swishing sound in the wind as they approached the city. The word wind and spirit in Hebrew are both Ruach. Therefore, this ceremony was symbolic or representative of the Holy Spirit of God coming upon the city of Jerusalem.

As each of the party reached their respective gates, a trumpet (shofar) was blown. Then one man would stand up and play the flute. The flute represents the Messiah. The flute player is called “the pierced one.” The flute is pierced, and Yeshua was pierced during the crucifixion.

The flute player led the procession. The pierced one blows the call for the wind and the water to enter the temple. The priests from Motzah walked in a cadence swishing the willows in order to come into the temple. This group then circled the altar seven times. The priests that were slaying the sacrifices are now ascending the altar, and they begin to lay the sacrifices on the fires. The High Priest and his assistant ascend the altar and all the people of Israel are gathered into the courts around there. The people start singing, “With joy we will draw water out of the well of salvation” (Isaiah 12:3). The High Priest takes his golden vase and pours it contents on one of the corners of the altar where the horns are. There are two bowls built into the altar. Each bowl has a hole in it. The water and the wine are poured out over the altar, as the priests who had the willow start laying the willows against the altar, making a sukkah. They set the willows upright on the side of the altar, forming a wedding canopy or chupah, which is a picture of the Mature Body of Christ coming together who are made up of organic matter. These individuals lay down their lives as living sacrifices of fire to form one body – the dwelling place of God. The ceremony of the water drawing points to that day when, according to the prophet Joel, God will pour out His Spirit upon all flesh (Joel 2:28-29).

As mentioned earlier, the water drawing ceremony took on a new dimension of meaning when Yeshua attended the Feast of Sukkot (Tabernacles). On the seventh day of the feast – Hoshana Rabbah, which literally means, “the great hosanna, the great salvation” – the festival activities were different from those of each of the six previous days when the priests circled the altar in a procession, singing Psalm 118:25. On the seventh day of the feast, the people circled the altar seven times. That is why the day is called Hoshana Rabbah, as all the people cried, “Save now!” seven times.

This is when the man who was sent – Yeshua – stood up “and cried out, saying, “If anyone is thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scriptures has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water”(John 7:37-38 NKJV) on Hoshana Rabbah.

May the rivers of living water flow uninhibited in and through you!!!

CRUX FOR GOD’S DWELLING PRESENCE

Glory

In the beginning God created a pristine garden and a perfect man (Genesis 1:26). This perfect pre-fallen man was a tri-parti being: body, soul and spirit. His perfection was a body clothed in righteousness, a soul that housed the dwelling place of God, and a spirit that constantly communicated with his Creator. Take note, because His people are returning to this heavenly sweet spot, which is our primordial state AS IT WAS IN THE BEGINNING.

Let’s review the “cherubim” classification for the New Living Creature of Melchizedek before we go into how the shekinah glory (His Dwelling Presence) remains in you and me. Please refer to the TAKING ON COMMON UNION series: http://wp.me/p2k1dQ-i9.

Scripture tells us that CHERUBIM:

[1] Mark the spot for us returning to our pristine primeval state. They stand at the entrance of the Garden of Eden with a flaming sword which turns every way to keep the way to the Tree of Life (Gen. 3:24).

[2] Mark the Dwelling Place of God, because He “dwells between the cherubim” (Psa. 80:1). In God’s Dwelling Places that have been built here on earth (Tabernacle, Temple and the New Jerusalem), cherubim are the most frequently sculpted, engraved, & embroidered figures made according to a heavenly pattern given by the Lord Himself (Exo. 26:1, 26:31-33; 36:8, 36:35; 1 Kings 6:29-35; 2 Chron. 3:7).

[3] Carriers of God’s throne, which is the seat of His divine glory as well as His royal power (1 Chron. 28:18). Cherubim make up the foundation of His fiery chariot throne that bears God’s Kingdom here on earth (Dan. 7:9; Ezek. 1:22-28; 10:1). God’s royal priests set out for the goal of the high calling to become just like Yeshua — the High Priest of the eternal order of Melchizedek. His Melchizedek Company is the Messenger that will facilitate the kingdoms of this world becoming the kingdoms of our Lord, and His Christ (Rev. 11:15).

This is the context that is essential to understanding the requirements needed for the Lord’s special dwelling presence to stay. His shekinah literally requires holiness. People have tried to boil holiness down to a formula of dos and don’ts, but that will always miss the mark because holiness is a love issue. Doing what Scripture prescribes for holiness taps into the prerequisites for which God’s Presence can dwell among us, but we must always take into account that His people’s hearts must be totally engaged when we seek to lovingly obey Him.

Believers in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob need to consider that the shekinah glory dwelt in the midst of Israel for generations: “The people of Israel. Theirs is the adoption of sons; theirs the divine glory…” (Rom. 9:4). First century believers understood the biblical holiness requirements, which facilitated God’s dwelling presence. When the Holy Spirit fell at Pentecost, the church experienced His manifest presence. They additionally sustained a multi-generational revival for more than three hundred years, because they understood how to live in God’s presence.

For the church to sustain His awe-filled presence today, we need to accurately grasp His minimum requirements for purity and their relevant application in our lives. Please let us learn from history, so we don’t repeat it. God’s dwelling presence departed from the Christian church when the pagan holidays were assimilated into it. Historical proof is seen in the departure of daily miracles from among them. Scriptural proof is spelled out in Ezekiel 8-11. We are not going into this passage in detail today. Please note, as you personally read it that God’s presence slowly and sorrowfully departed, for He longs for His people to repent so His presence may return or remain.

“Son of man, do you see what they are doing … things that will drive Me far from My sanctuary?” (Ezekiel 8:6). The four idolatrous practices listed in Ezekiel 8:3-5, 9-12, 14, 16 originated in Babylon, and the Bible says that they are detestable to God. BTW – These all have to do with pure worship. Today, we will only peek at the fourth and most detestable practice in His eyes that drives Him far from His sanctuary: “So He brought me into the inner court of the LORD’s house; and there, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about twenty-five men with their backs toward the temple of the LORD and their faces toward the east, and they were worshiping the sun toward the east” (Ezekiel 8:16 NKJV).

The fourth and most detestable practice was performed in the inner court of the house of the Lord between the porch and the altar. The inner court symbolizes those who are intimately acquainted with God. The porch is a place of traversing back and forth. It can be akin to a heaven and earth connection. The altar was a platform of sacrificial worship, where worshipers endeavored to meet with their God. So these twenty-five or so men, who were bowing down to the sun with their backs toward the temple of the Lord, were His close companions. They were people who knew and loved the Lord; yet they still grievously bowed down to and worshiped the sun, whether they acknowledged the fact or not.

It is not until Ezekiel 9:3 that the departure of God’s presence begins. His shekinah glory moves over His fiery chariot throne – a set apart remnant of His people. Then, His shekinah glory is carried by the Living Creature from the inner court to the threshold of His sanctuary. The Lord hesitates there to see if His people will notice His leaving. Will they repent and welcome His manifest presence back? He waits, then in Ezekiel 10:19 God’s glory moves further away to the eastern gate. He waits again. His people still won’t repent of their idolatry, so God’s shekinah glory moves out of Jerusalem (the city of our God) across the Kidron Valley to the Mount of Olives (Ezekiel 11:23). Then God waits again for the people to turn from their idols. Where’s does Scripture say that the Lord will return? The Mount of Olives both spiritually and physically (Zechariah 14:4).

The pagans in the fourth century recognized their own solar cults in the church’s adoption of the Nativity of the Unconquered Sun (Mithra’s Winter Festival). They recognized the church assimilation of their pagan practices in the orienting cathedrals to the east, worshiping on “sun day,” and celebrating the birth of the sun god deity at the Winter Solstice. Throughout antiquity, all sun gods across all cultures celebrated their birthday on the ancient winter solstice – December 25th – before the Roman shift in time. The Catholic Encyclopedia even documents that the Nativity or Mithra’s Winter Festival has a strong claim on our December 25th date. Never mind the fact that Constantine had the Vatican built atop the hill where the Mithras cult worshiped the sun. History records that it had become common practice in the fifth century for worshipers entering St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome to turn at the door, put their backs to the altar, and bow down to worship the rising sun. See Ezekiel 8:16.

When the Lord says that “Christmas will be the golden calf of America,” He is telling us that it is idolatry in His eyes. The Lord has given each of us the responsibility to prepare a place for Him: “Everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure” (1 John 3:3). His shekinah glory cannot dwell where there is idolatry; therefore, His dwelling presence can not, and will not, coexist with this golden calf we call Christmas. Idolatry is the crux that determines whether His shekinah glory will merely visit His people or dwell among them. If it’s your heart-of-hearts to be part of Yah’s glorious Melchizedek and Bridal companies, you will have to pass through this fire.
