LIFTED UP

Just as the “one like a son of man” came before the Ancient of Days and was offered before Him, so did Jesus Christ of Nazareth enter glory after His suffering. By the way, the verb here is qrb, which in the Temple means to “present an offering.”

“I saw in the night visions, and behold, one like the Son of Man came upon the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought him before him. And there was given him dominion and glory and a kingdom that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom is one that shall not be destroyed” (Daniel 7:13-14 Aramaic).

“Did not Christ have to suffer all these things in order to enter into his glory?” (Luke 24:26 Aramaic).

John 12:32 speaks of when “I AM” is LIFTED UP, He will draw everyone. “And I, when I AM LIFTED UP from the earth, will draw every man to me” (John 12:32 Aramaic). Being LIFTED UP was a term from the ancient royal cult that describes the exaltation and glorification of the king, the servant. “Behold, my servant shall understand, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high” (Isaiah 52:13 Aramaic). This chosen king was exalted and anointed: “The he spoke in visions to his righteous one, and he said, I have given help to a man; I have exalted one chosen out of the people. I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him” (Psalm 89:19-20 Aramaic). This is the one who came with the clouds of heaven in Daniel 7:13.

Messiah Yeshua (Jesus Christ) the Great High Priest of the Order of Melchizedek opened up the way into the Holy of Holies to all believers by His Blood: “Having therefore, my brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the Blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which he has made new for us through the veil, that is to say, his flesh” (Hebrews 10:19-20 Aramaic). Even though it’s the Blood of Jesus Christ which allows access into the Holy of Holies (Ascension in Christ), notice how the sanctuary veil was torn open when Yeshua was LIFTED UP: “And the curtains at the door of the Temple were torn in two, from the top to the bottom” (Mark 15:38 Aramaic).

Thus, those who by grace through faith confess with their mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in their heart that Father God raised Him from the dead will be saved (Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians 2:8-9). These are the ones transferred out of the power of darkness into the Kingdom of the beloved Son. “And has delivered us from the power of darkness and brought us to the kingdom of His Beloved Son, by whom we have obtained salvation and forgiveness of sins” (Colossians 1:12-13 Aramaic).

“And all the people wanted to touch Him, because power proceeded from Him, and He healed them all. And he LIFTED UP His eyes on His disciples and said, Blessed are you poor, for the Kingdom of God is yours” (Luke 6:19-20 Aramaic).

ENTHRONED ON HIGH

“I watched as thrones were set up, and the One of Ancient Days sat. His garment was white as snow, and the hair of His head like clean wool; His throne was of fiery flames, its wheels blazing fire. A stream of fire was flowing forth from before Him, a thousand thousands were serving Him and myriad myriads were standing before Him. The judgment was set, and the books were opened. I saw that after this, because of the sound of the haughty words which the horn spoke, I watched until the beast was slain and its body destroyed and consigned to a flame of fire. As for the rest of the beasts, their dominion was taken away, yet an extension of life was given them until a season and a time. I was watching in night visions and behold! with the clouds of heaven, ONE LIKE A MAN came; he came up to the One of Ancient Days, and they brought him before Him. He was given dominion, honor, and kingship, so that all peoples, nations, and languages would serve him; his dominion would be an everlasting dominion that would never pass, and his kingship would never be destroyed” (Daniel 7:9-14 English Tanack).

Daniel 7:9-14 speaks of the King Messiah. Think about how the Messiah has a mature Head – Messiah Yeshua – and a mature body:

• “His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire” (Revelation 1:14 NKJV).

• “For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the BODY OF CHRIST, until we all become one in faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, and become a perfect man according to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, that we henceforth be not as children easily stirred and carried away by every wind of false doctrines of men, who through their craftiness are artful in deceiving the people; but that we be sincere in our love, so that IN EVERYTHING WE MAY PROGRESS THROUGH CHRIST WHO IS THE HEAD” (Ephesians 4:12-15 Aramaic).

• “He is the HEAD OF THE BODY, the assembly, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence” (Colossians 1:18 HNV).

BEHOLD, A MAN who ascends up to heaven, is enthroned on high, and given an Everlasting Kingdom. Scholars recognize that this passage is based on Psalm 2. Before this man is/was enthroned, he was presented before the Ancient of Days. “Presented” gives the impression that this ONE NEW MAN IN CHRIST is/was introduced to a heavenly court. He is/was qrb… brought near. In the God’s Temple, this is connected to being a living sacrifice… an offering.

TAKING ON COMMON UNION – Part 4

BEHOLD, THE NEW LIVING CREATURE IS THE CHERUBIM

“I kept looking until thrones were set up, and the Ancient of Days took His seat; His vesture was like white snow and the hair of His head like pure wool. His throne was ablaze with flames, its wheels were a burning fire” (Daniel 7:9 NASB).

Yesterday we glanced at the Living Creature (i.e. four living creatures) depicting a dimension of the One New Man in Christ on a personal level where an individual is joined to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit in a four-fold way, so that Christ’s Being can be lived out through a person by means of the seven Spirits of God according to the perfect will of the Father. This is not something done automatically when we are born again from above, but a progressive work of oneness wrought through a person aiming at the goal of becoming holy, as He is holy. Rightly searching one’s heart and taking things to the cross daily while taking on communion (common union) are essential ingredients to becoming a living breathing manifestation of a New Living Creature in Christ. God knows and He will tell you when you have reached a certain level of hitting this mark of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. He is the only One that can.

Before we apply this picture on a corporate level, let’s examine this New Living Creature more thoroughly. Ezekiel 1:20-21 tells us that the spirit of the Living Creature is in the wheels. Yesterday, we alluded to the picture of the “wheel within a wheel” in the Book of Ezekiel, which symbolizes God ruling and reigning through His Purified (Crucified) Ones. Notice that the wheels on His chariot throne in Daniel 7:9 are described as a burning fire.

Hebrews 1:7 speaks of the Most Holy One making His ministers a flame of fire. Many people dismiss this verse as applying only to angels, but they would be missing a vital, albeit mysterious, ingredient. The word for “angels” in Hebrew 1:7 is the Greek word aggelos, which is from the Hebrew and means “sent one” or “messenger.” But here’s a hidden fact that will blow your mind! Both the Hebrew Scriptures and Greek Septuagint tell us that the sent one or messenger can be either a divine or human messenger.

The Living Creature of Ezekiel 1 are also called “Cherubim” in Ezekiel 10. The specific points that connect the Living Creature of Ezekiel chapter 10 to chapter 1 are:

1. Four faces apiece – Ezekiel 10:21; 1:6,10.
2. Every one four wings with the likeness of the hands of man under their wings – Ezekiel 10:21; 1:8.
3. Went every one straight forward – Ezekiel 10:22; 1:12.
4. Seen by the river Chebar – Ezekiel 10:20,22; 1:1.

Our next posts will delve deeper into each one of these points. For now note that when you see the word “angel,” “cherub,” or “cherubim” in Scripture, think of it like a red flag going up in a good way to alert us to the possible presence of a deep kingdom mystery connected to our being a New Living Creature in Christ. Not only is this mystery preserved in the bowels of Scripture, but also in a commentary about Melchizedek in the 11Q13 section of the Dead Sea Scrolls.

“And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the color of amber, out of the midst of the fire. Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man” (Ezekiel 1:4-5 KJV).

“And when the living creatures went, the wheels went by them: and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up. Whithersoever the spirit was to go, they went, thither was their spirit to go; and the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels. When those went, these went; and when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels” (Ezekiel 1:19-21 KJV).

“And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it. And I saw as the color of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about. As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake” (Ezekiel 1:26-28 KJV).

“Then I looked, and, behold, in the firmament that was above the head of the cherubims there appeared over them as it were a sapphire stone, as the appearance of the likeness of a throne … This is the living creature that I saw under the God of Israel by the river of Chebar; and I knew that they were the cherubims. Every one had four faces apiece, and every one four wings; and the likeness of the hands of a man was under their wings. And the likeness of their faces was the same faces which I saw by the river of Chebar, their appearances and themselves: they went every one straight forward” (Ezekiel 10:1, 20-22 KJV).

Divine Conference Call with Dad

My Dad went on to be with the LORD eight years ago. Even though he was an incredible lover of Jesus and I knew that he eternally lives in the heavenlies, I deeply missed him.

I lived far away from him for years, so for 9 months after his passing I found myself continually saying, “I wished I would have called him more.” “I wished I would have called him more.” “I wished I would have called him more.”

One night in a dream, I heard a ring, ring. I picked up an antique phone in my dream and saw my Daddy in heaven. God had granted my hearts desire. It was like a video conference call sovereignly granted by the Ancient of Days. My Dad and I talked & talked. I remember even waking up and staying connected as I went to the restroom, then I went back to sleep still connected to this divine phone call. I knew that it was going to be me hanging up on this end, and I didn’t want to let go… So we talked and talked and talked and talked… Dad even put other dear family members on the divine video conference call. It was glorious and such an incredible gift that I will always be grateful for! The first thing Dad said was, “You should see the place that they’re building for the Bride up here!”

One day not too long after that I was talking with Yeshua and I could see Him in the Spirit I said, “Tell Dad “Hi!” for me. Jesus turned to the side and yelled, “Lee! Robin says, “Hi!” I then heard my Dad yell, “Tell her Hi!” We had a good chuckle over that one.

Anyway, be encouraged! Your Loved Ones who have gone on to be with the LORD are closer than you know.
