RIGHT TO THE TREE OF LIFE

Do you know who has the right to the Tree of Life and may enter the New Jerusalem? Listen to the words of Jesus through the pen of John the Revelator. “Behold, I am coming soon and My reward is with Me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am the Aleph and Tau, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO DO HIS COMMANDS, THAT THEY MAY HAVE THE RIGHT TO THE TREE OF LIFE, AND MAY ENTER IN THROUGH THE GATES INTO THE CITY. For without are the vicious and magicians and the immoral and murderers and idolaters and whoever loves to tell lies” (Revelation 22:12-15 Aramaic).

In Revelation 22 we are told specifically that those that have the right to the Tree of Life do His commands. This theme is echoed in the passage revealing those who “follow the Lamb wherever He goes” (Revelation 14:4). “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus” (Revelation 14:12 KJV). And its reverb is also felt in Revelation 12:17 – “And the dragon was enraged at the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her children, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus.”

Beloved John knew the Way and the Truth and the Life. He faithfully shared Jesus’ own words wherever He could: “He who has My commandments with him and obeys them is the one who loves Me; he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and reveal Myself to him. … He who loves Me keeps My word; and My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make a place of abode with him” (John 14:21,23 Aramaic). In the city where one has the right to the Tree of Life, Yeshua and our Heavenly Father dwells with His people.

“And by this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not difficult. For whoever is born of God triumphs over the world; and this is the victory which conquers the world, even our faith” (1 John 5:2-4 Aramaic).
