THE ORDER OF MELCHIZEDEK CONSISTS OF HIGH PRIESTS

If Yeshua (Jesus), who is the Mature Head of the Body of Christ, is a High Priest made after the Order of Melchizedek, what do you think is the priestly role of the Mature Body of Christ, if we are in fact ONE (John 17:23)?

The answer is: Being ONE necessitates that we are high priests too. That does not diminish nor replace the fact that Yeshua is the Highest Priest made after the Order of Melchizedek. When Yeshua’s flesh was crucified, the veil was torn in God’s Temple and a new and living way was made for you and me to access the Presence of the Most High God. This access to the Holy of Holiest beyond the veil is a privilege of a High Priest – a High Priest of the House of God. Yeshua is the High Priest of the Order of Melchizedek over the House of God. Hebrews 10 puts it this way: “Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which He has consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, His flesh; And having an High Priest over the house of God; Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:” (Hebrews 10:19-24).

First John 2:6 says it this way. We will do what Yeshua did – walk in the same manner as HE did. This includes walking as a High Priest of the Order of Melchizedek. We are the Priesthood of All Believers that is made up of High Priests in an Eternal Priesthood. This Holy Eternal Priesthood is not based on a person’s ancestry but “on the basis of the power of an indestructible life. For it is declared: ‘You are a priest forever, in the Order of Melchizedek’ ” (Hebrews 7:16-17).
